Enter key does not commit a change in a panel / dialog / field
Transparency panel in Appearance window does not react on Enter in Illustrator 27.0
After the latest update, this bug is spotted. In Appearance window -> Opacity panel (either stroke or fill) -> enter desired opacity -> hit Enter/CR -> no reaction (expected: apply value and close the Opacity panel). The TAB button however still works (the value applies). Other panels work as they should and react Enter correctly.
OS: Mac OS 13.
I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.0.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

I just installed Illustrator 27.0 on a M1 Macbook Pro, 16Gb RAM, OSX 12.6. Using the shift click changing the color of text, paths, or fills the Enter Key does not commit the change. The work around I've found is to hit the tab and then the escape key, This is not how Illustrator worked on the previous version.

I'm trying to change a color of an object via the properties panel.
1) select object
2) in properties panel, click the color box next to "fill"
3) click the palette icon so I can access the hex value.
4) type in hex value
5) When I try to hit "enter", nothing happens - the field is still active. If I hit "tab" it will take.Note -- enter does not work in any field in that panel or in the stroke version.

This issue also occurs with other input fields in the properties panel.

I'm also having this issue since the v27.0 update.

When inputting a percentage into the colour mixer in the properties panel, I'm unable to press enter or return to confirm the required percentage. I can only confirm by clicking away from the input box. This issue has arisen since the most recent v27.0 update.

Does not happen for me in Windows (phew)

Happens for Windows as well.
Some other users experience this also with Character panel’s fields.
There is also another report about Enter not working for tint percentage confirmation: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45887767 -

Illustrator 27.0 Window 10
Similar problem to the Mac issue described here (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/45861172-transparency-panel-in-appearance-window-does-not-r) except my enter key works when changing the transparency value. My problem occurs when trying to change the percentage tint value of a spot/global colour and neither tab nor enter key are registering. The only way it gets applied is when clicking away from the panel with the mouse button. The tab/enter key responds as it should everywhere else.
There are of course multiple ways of applying a tint adjustment. Oddly, I've just checked and the error happens when I shift-click the swatch in the Control toolbar up top and also via the colour section of the Properties panel and the Appearance panel. However, it does NOT happen if I open the dedicated colour panel and make the change there, both the tab and enter key respond here as they should. Strange!

E.g.: Typed "50" for transparency value, hit enter, it doesn't register.
