1. Importing a PDF with only Spot RGB Colors inside treats the document as CMYK

   I am exporting PDFs from an RGB file using 'Export for screens’ with a PDF Preset that converts to sRGB.
   Any artboard that contains a ‘process’ RGB color (white, in my case) comes out as an RGB PDF file.
   Any artboard that only contains Spot RGB colored elements is seen as a CMYK file when opened in Illustrator or imported in InDesign (which is my goal).

   My example file will export nicely until I hide the background layer to make my PDF transparent. Then the one with the (previously) white background becomes CMYK.

2. Bug generating previews when saving multiple artboards

   When saving AI and EPS files using artboards, file previews (thumbnails) are not generated. All files display the preview of the original file. To rectify this, it is necessary to open and overwrite the files.

3. Bug: Adobe Acrobat PDF fields are no longer retained in Illustrator file

   Adobe Acrobat PDF fields in a Illustrator PDF file should be retained upon save. Up to version 27.5, Illustrator did respect and retain PDF text fields, I started noticing the issue in Illustrator 27.6.1 and 27.7

   2. Affected AI versions: 27.6.1 and 27.7

   3. Steps to reproduce problem: Open an existing illustrator PDF file that has Acrobat PDF text fields embedded, make any change and then save the file. After re-opening the file, the Acrobat PDF text fields are no longer present.

4. SVG Export missing data-attributes in 27.1

   macOS Ventura 13.1
   Illustrator 27.1

   Export for Screens
   Choose SVG format
   Edit Format Settings for SVG (by clicking on gear icon)
   Select SVG and set to the following:
   Styling: Inline Style
   Font: SVG
   Images: Preserve
   Object IDs: Unique
   Decimal: 2
   check both Minify and Responsive

   The exported SVG should have the attribute data-name with the object's layer name. For example, a rectangle object filled with the color #f6b780 with the layer named 0006A should look like this in the SVG file.

5. Illustrator error "An unknown error is detected" Windows 11 AI 2023 27.01

   "An unknown error has occurred" when trying to save a file in Windows 11, AI 2023 27.01

   Steps: Save or Save as
   Expected result: file gets saved
   Actual result: it doesn't. Get "An unknown error is detected" dialog

   Workaround: Under File > Document color mode… switch color mode from CMYK to RGB then back to CMYK

   Strange workaround. Ongoing issue

6. (MacOS) Finder window freezes when trying to save an Illustrator file

   When I try to save an illustrator file, the Finder window that pops up is frozen. None of the buttons are clickable. I've tried saving files with other apps, including Adobe apps like After Effects, and they can save files just fine - to the same folder even.

   Currently using the latest version of Illustrator.

   Things I've tried:
   - Resetting Illustrator preferences
   - Reinstalling Illustrator
   - Versioning down Illustrator
   - Deleting the com.illustrator cache folder
   - Relaunching Finder
   - Restarting the computer
   - Starting with a fresh Illustrator file
   - Opening an existing Illustrator file

   Any solutions? At the moment, the app is completely unusable to me because I can't save anything.

8. SVG Export - Style Tag (Angled Apostrophe) Issue

   Hi,

   I have recently stumbled upon a random issue with exporting SVGs from Illustrator (Desktop). I am recycling some previously used assets that I know work fine and are fully compatible with Articulate Rise (the eLearning tool I import the SVGs to).

   For some reason, within the last week or so, something has changed. Now when I try to import my SVGs to Articulate, I get an error saying the file type is invalid. Having investigated this with the Articulate support team, we discovered that during the export process, Illustrator is adding a random invalid character (this one (`)).

   See attached images for reference.

   I can edit the styling using SVG viewer, but it's slowing down our output immensely and I'm not sure what has changed? I know for a fact these images work fine in the current courses they sit in.

   Note: If I ungroup the assets on the banner image, and export them as SVGs, they all import fine and don't have the angled apostrophe. If I group them together, however, the apostrophe appears! The obvious solution would be to ungroup and collect as a single asset, which I've tested and unfortunately, this still presents the same issue. I've also tested grouping newly created assets together there are no issues.

   Hopefully, someone out there can help out with this!

9. SVG The Gradient go to black and the mask failed

   Hi, I use 26.2.1 version, I close illustrator and restart and export SVG, with Presentation Attributes, the Gradient go to black and the mask failed.

10. Recovered files folder appears after using Illustrator

    Every time after using Adobe Illustrator and the next time I turn on my Mac, «‎Recovered files»‎ folder appears in trash can with different Adobe folders inside. What’s this? Why it’s happening? And how can I fix it?

11. このファイルを部分的にしか読み取ることができませんでした

    Win10HomeEdition

    規則性は不明ですが、リンクファイル等を用いているファイルを開く際に上記エラーが発生します。当該ファイルを作成したPCだと開けますが、他PCに移して開こうとすると上記エラーが発生する状況です。

    開くと実際に一部要素しか表示されません。

    もとの作成PCも開こうとしたPCもいずれも26.0.2を使用。
    最新verにアップロードしても同じ状況です。

12. 中間色のあるグラデーションのあるPDFが正しく読み込めず色情報が消えてしまいます

    中間色がなければ正しく読み込めます。
    問題のPDFはインデザイン等で長方形を設定し塗りのグラデーションで中間色を設定すれば作成でき、PDFにエクスポートできます。
    編集をしたいので、"配置(Place)"以外の方法で解決したいです。

    InDesign でグラデーションバーの100％の位置にカラーストップがセットされていない場合に、Illustrator で PDF を開いた時にグラデーションのカラーが消えてしまうようです。

13. Document won't save

    Hi there.
    I have been working in a new file I created, and I am unable to save the file. I have tried exporting, and quitting such that illustrator asks if I want to save. Nothing happens. I am stuck here, as I will otherwise loose the work I have done. Any suggestions???

    The problem got solved by resaving the original document and no longer can be reproduced.

    If you have a similar issue, try to search for a similar bug report which matches yours exactly or log another one, providing as many details as possible to help the team to investigate it.

14. Filename is no longer selected in Save / Save As / Open dialogs in macOS Mojave

    In macOS Mojave only the filename was selected in the Save / Save As... window.

    Now nothing is selected so you can't start typing right away or the extension is also included in the selection. So if you need to save multiple versions or need to add a number at the end of a filename you could hit the Right Arrow key and start typing.

    If you do that now the cursor moves after the extension, you have to move 4 positions back or delete the extension entirely and then start typing.

18. Partially read the file disappears with legacy format

    In Illustrator 25.2.3, myself, my client, his colleague, and their client, all run into a nasty bug where some ai files will not open.

    The dialog saying Illustrator could only partially read the file will appear and the file can't be recovered properly. Sometimes the file(s) can be opened on a second attempt, but, we have found that only by saving the files in Legacy format, will this bug disappear and the files are usable once again.

19. Saving issues

    I have an issue with illustrator, files are not saving properly. The file 15 year warranty vector I created is saving as "~ai-87c8b406-558b-424b-915b-974d5eb7acda_"

    Or it doesnt save at all.

    I am running the latest illustrator

20. Falla al guardar los documentos de ilustrator

    Al momento de guardar los documentos, por muy sencillo que sea, solo trazos básico, no importa lo que contenga, siempre se demora muchísimo al guardar, y al hacerlo, la pantalla se vuelve negra y solo se visualizan algunas ventanas de herramientas, y queda todo en negro hasta que regresa a la normalidad cuando finalmente guardó los cambios. Estoy trabajando con la última actualización (25.2.1), hoy la desinstale y la volví a instalar para ver si tenía alguna mejoría, pero sigue igual.
