  1. Error when trying to "Save as" a file

    Hi I had been having an error were illustrator doesn't let me use the option of "save as" and whenever that happens I have to close the program an re-open again. There's no error message is just like I click on "Save as" and nothing happens

  2. No "Smallest File Size" option in dropdown menu when saving PDF

    My only options for saving a PDF are "Custom" and "Illustrator Default" I've lost "Smallest File Size" and "Press Quality" options.

    I need to save small PDF versions in order to send in emails ALL day, so this is a big issue for me.

    OS Monterey 12.3 , and beta version of Ai that's newer than Ai 2022...
    BECAUSE Ai 2022 won't let me save ANY files to my computer (I've checked to make sure it had permission.) It's a HUGE problem, that basically makes my job impossible to do.

  3. 同一ファイル内にドキュメントをドラッグ＆コピーした時にコピー元のドキュメントのテキストスレッドに異常が発生する件

    CC2022を使用しています。
    テキストスレッドで作成したレイヤーを含むファイル内で、ドラッグ＆コピーで新規のドキュメントを作成すると、コピー元のドキュメントのテキストスレッドの最後に文章が勝手に追加されてしまう現象が発生しました。（コピーした方のドキュメントのテキストスレッドには異常は出ないです。）

    Illustrator 製品版フィードバックへのご協力ありがとうございます。

    検証では、以下のような結果となりました。

    • 提供いただいたデータで再現確認ができました。
    • 新規ドキュメントで同様のデータを作成しても、再現ができませんでした。
    • 提供いただいたデータを別のドキュメントにコピー＆ペーストし、アートボードの複製を行っても再現できませんでした。
    • 関連しない他のデータでは問題が発生しない。

    こちらは、データ依存の問題と思われますので、対応完了とさせていただきます。

    再現方法などのアップデートがありましたら、ご報告いただければと存じます。

  4. Illustrator can not save

    I run Illustrator 26.1 on a 2019 MacBook Pro with macOS 12.3.
    Illustrator can not save any new files!!? The saving window appears but the Save button is inactive and nothing in the left menu works. I can save to Cloud but not locally. Basically the whole Save-window is inactive. The only way to close the window is through shortcut CMD + "."
    It "feels" like I don't have access to my Mac?
    I can save existing documents (but not Save As).
    I have tried to reinstall Illustrator and reset settings (CTRL, OPT, COMM at startup) but nothing helps.

  5. Old illustrator files opening distorted and flattened on 1 layer

    Lots of crazy things happening since updating Illustrator to 2022 from the 2020 version. Text on ellipse paths are uneditable, text on ellipse paths are misaligned, and layers are flattened.

    No issues with files that don't have ellipse paths so not sure if this is a text on path issue or a ellipse issue.

  6. 貼り付けたテキストの末尾に不明な何かが混入する現象について

    【OSおよび Adobe Illustrator (デスクトップ版) のバージョン】
    Windows10 v21H2
    2020：24.3.2　発生しない
    2021：25.2.x　発生する
    2021：25.4.2　発生する
    2022：26.1　発生する

    【問題が発生したときに実行していた手順】
    1. メモ帳等の別のアプリケーションにある書式情報のないテキストをコピーする
    2. Illustratorにて、テキストポイントやテキストエリアを作らずに貼り付ける

    【想定していた結果】
    手順1でコピーしたテキストがIllustrator上に貼り付けられる

    【実際の結果】
    テキストの貼り付け自体はできますが、末尾に“何か”が混入します。

    曖昧な表現になっていますが、“何か”は設定するフォントによって見えたり見えなかったりします。Arialにすると白四角で表示されます。
    アートボード上では選択やコピペができますが、検索フォームに貼り付けることはできませんし、メモ帳等に貼り付けることもできません。
    情報パネルで確認すると「Unicode:0x0000」と表示されます。

  7. Keyboard shortcuts quit working periodically?

    Occasionally while I'm in Illustrator, my keyboard shortcuts will randomly stop working for roughly 30 seconds at a time. The issue resolves without me having to restart, but it happens a couple times a day usually. I have custom shortcuts but it also happens for defaults (like cmd + s for saving). I thought it was lag at first, but I'm able to use the same commands from the drop down menus without issue.

    I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6 with Illustrator 25.4.4, and I have several Esko plug-ins for work.

  8. Moving an object manually to align with another object, moves the wrong object

    Quite often, when moving an object to snap to another object or anchor point, the moved object jumps back to its original position while the other object or even sometimes an anchor point makes the move instead

  10. Unable to create "New Folder" when saving file on Windows 11 Pro PC!

    When working on a job, I get to the point of wanting to create a New Folder to save in. However when the File Directory comes up in Illustrator, I click the New Folder button and nothing happens! Its as if it is not active at all.

  11. Running Adobe Illustrator 2022 v26.1.0 on MacOS Monterey v12.1 and the artwork disappears when I zoom in more than 900%.

    I can use the direct selection tool to show the outline of the artwork, but the entire artwork is in the background color, grey.

  12. Blurry PNG Export

    I've used Adobe Illustrator for the best part of 7 years, and not once have any of my exports (PNG, TIFF, SVG) have been blurry until today.

    I have tried everything, read every forum, watched videos, updated, reinstalled... the list goes on... but still all my exports for my art, design and graphics all come out blurry!!!!!!!

    I don't know what has changed since the latest update or whatever it may be. It is frustrating to have all that work and not be able to have a crisp export.

  13. Changing the color of a shape doesn't record as a change to be saved

    This bug happens when I open an AI document, select a shape and change it's color using the "Color" panel. After doing this, the "Save" option in the "File" menu is grey, meaning that's no change to be saved, which is not correct. This is a problem because multiple times I needed to open a documento just to change a color and when I hit "Ctrl + S" that change doesn't get saved.

    Mac mini M1, OsX 12.3
    Can't open a document : freeze
    Can't create a new document (print or web) : Freeze
    Prefs already trashed, reinstalled illustrator 2022 26.1, Minimal fonts set.

  16. how can a note have more than one value?

    this file shows a situation where the note shown in the attribute panel differs from the note visiblefor a script. There were about fife occurences in a file of about 500 art objects. I picked one and removed everything else, and also replaced the artwork by a plain rectangle.

    To view the error, select the square and view the attribute panel
    Then run this extendscript:

    var obj = doc.selection[0]
    alert(obj.note)

    BTW: I could set proper values with a simple jsx that sets the note from the contents of a text field

  17. pen tablet skipping brush strokes works fine in photoshop but not illustrator

    I have Illustrator 2022 and Illustrator 2020 and it skips strokes some times with both versions. It shows a circle that represents the brush where I start the stroke and it also shows the brush symbol that is moving with the pen tip. The circle that represents the brush stays where I start the stroke until I finish the stroke and lift the pen, then the circle that represents the brush goes away, while the brush symbol is moving with my stroke but no stroke is being drawn. The brush strokes in Photoshop are fine, they do not skip strokes…

  18. Brush tool not available to draw on normal AI file

    I can draw a line on my rough draft in a .ai file, but can't use the brush tool. It shows the O with a / "forbidden" symbol (not available).

  19. Not Responding. Crashing when I go to make a pattern

    Operating system: Windows 10
    Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
    31.85GB RAM

    Currently in the process of creating a 40cm x 40cm all over surface pattern design print. So far everything has been fine. My total file size is 435mb.

    When I select my imagery ready to turn in to Object > Pattern > Make
    Illustrator decides that it can't process this, freezes and crashes.
    I am on the most up to date versions of Illustrator and drivers for my RAM.
    I have also tried simplifying my pathways to no avail.

    Does anyone else know…

  20. Preview of color selections (AI 26.0.2)

    I am from Release of Illustrator, which the preview of color selections, if activated, does not allow me to enlarge over 1200%, because the screen becomes all gray. I tried in preferences> performance to activate and deactivate the GPU, without any change. I tried to trash all the preferences, without any change. I tried to uninstall Illustrator, without any change.
