I never want to see an RGB slider ever again in my life.
There are many similar requests with different titles. @adobe: how do we combine the same but differently worded requests into one mega request? The votes would add up.

Well said Aleksei. Thanks for adding your voice to the thread.

Im a pro in a large design business. I have absolutely no need for RGB sliders in any web or print situation. I would like an option to configure AI so that all color sliders can be set to HSB permanently. I never want to see RGB sliders again.
How can we pull the all the scattered posts/requests + votes into one strong message?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Personally, I would like the preference option to replace all RGB sliders with HSB. I would like to be able to configure AI so that I never see RGB sliders ever again.
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Agreed. HSB is better than RGB in every way. A normal person can't compute the RGB sliders. There is no reason to use RGB as the default. Im a high level professional designer working in about 50% digital and 50% print but I spend 90% of my time in an RGB workspace using 90%+ HSB sliders. I never ever (0%) use RGB sliders. Come on adobe..... its 2021.

Agreed! This would be extremely helpful. RBG colorspace should allow a global HSB option for all swatches. HSB is much better and most of us think in those terms. It would improve my workflow as well.

And it’s done finally, in the latest Beta 28.1.0.100 build.
All NEW documents will now have Hyphenate disabled by default.
To use this feature please delete all files in a specific folder and relaunch Illustrator. This effort is required only for first time, for Illustrator to fetch updated copies of default document profiles.
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings/<language>/New Document Profiles
- Win: C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings\<language>\x64\New Document Profiles
However, Illustrator won’t make changes to custom presets you have in EXISTING documents though.
To make this option to get turned off for them as well, you’d have to update a [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel on your own. To do that:
1. create a new text object, keep it selected,
2. press [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel,
3. open Paragraph panel, disable Hyphenate,
4. open Paragraph Styles panel again, and execute Redefine Paragraph Style command…

Adobe Team, can we get a response please?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Adobe Team, What is the status here? Last update from you guys was 2018. This HAS to be one of the easiest fixes you guys can make. Its in the top 10 of requests. Its involves simply changing the state of a default checkbox from "checked" to "unchecked". There is no dispute among users. Can we get a response please?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Its probably as simple as changing a 1 to a zero in the code for this specific setting.
The fact that some of these simple, yet user-essential changes (like HSB default sliders) haven't budged in years but they researched Grammarly support for AI, says a lot about their growing unfamiliarity with the core user's needs and workflow.
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Hi AI team. To be clear: OFF should be the DEFAULT SETTING. Turning hyphenation ON should be an option. There is no need for hyphenation in 99% of what we use use Illustrator for. I imagine that since its currently a checkbox, the code has simply a default state set to ON. Isn't this one of the easiest user-requested changes you can make?

Export for Screen is broken. Here is a better example. I placed an image in a mask and rotated -30 degrees. On the left is the EXPORT FOR SCREENS result. On the right is "legacy" SAVE FOR WEB. EXPORT FOR SCREENS is still unusable in its current state.
I see Ashutosh from Adobe commented - asking for the file. This is completely reproducible with any image. any progress here Adobe?keith-o supported this idea ·

Here I am 2 years later and the word "magic wand" is still censored in my original post. Adobe, why did you censor it?
More importantly, why hasn't this been address? In its most simple form, its as simple as adjusting a simple default setting in the code. No new programming required. An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Any update on why the word Magic Wand ( M a g i c W a n d ) is censored in my and other users similar posts?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Hey Adobe team, why did you censor the word "**********" in my feature request?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Adobe changed it to " ******** ". I originally wrote the "**********". I have no idea why it was changed.
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Magic wand tolerance should be zero by default. For fill colors, I never use it on anything but 0. For strokes I use tolerance of 0 about 90% of the time. Pro users are generally using spots, global process colors or simply eyedrop+fill when working so there is rarely a need for selecting a "range of colors/shades" especially as wide as 32. In AI, this tool is used differently than Photoshop.
Or perhaps default tool tolerances could be part of a user preference?setting/workspace. (Along with setting default color swatches to HSB sliders)keith-o supported this idea ·

I have the same issue. If I rename (not resave) the file to .pdf, quickview works properly. Im not suggesting as a solution/workaround, just noting as an observation.
This is a HUGE issue.

This filed is now visible in Color panel for all the color modes, starting version 27.6.1.
There is no way to disable it though, so if you want to be able to turn it off — upvote the request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/47027617

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
Hex code for the colors is visible in the Color and Swatch Option Panel. It will be visible for Global Colors as well. You can easily copy the Hex value by clicking on '#' icon before the code.

Agreed. This would be very helpful to my workflow as a print designer, web designer and illustrator. I need to be able to make global changes to existing, in-use color (global process) swatches. I need to make those changes with HEX#.

Sabine, I think you haven't quite understood the issue we are discussing in this thread.
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
From my testing, Flatten Transparency doesn't do anything to effect the the mask export. Can you tell us how you achieved the desired results?
An error occurred while saving the comment keith-o commented
Its a huge oversight which I attribute to the design team not actually understanding how pro users are working and the types of assets they are typically creating in AI. As Lidoo said before me, NOBODY would ever want assets containing masks to be exported as they currently are.
I almost never use any export features due to the fact that I need to open them up in PS anyhow to crop properly. Might as well just c+p from AI to PS and then save the asset from there.keith-o supported this idea ·

Adobe team, there are many requests for the ability to set and lock a default color mode, particularly HSB. These many requests are scattered across the uservoice forum with different terminology in turn lowering the collective vote weight.
This is an essential feature. I, and many other users change the sliders to HSB hundreds of time a day. Can you help us? ...... can you respond....?
