1. "Open" button not responding first time

   After the recent update, with the new layout of the home screen, I have to click the "Open..." button two or three times before it opens the file explorer window. It acts like it is being clicked, but then nothing happens.

2. CC 2018: The 'undo count' button in preferences is not responding

   Basically, I can click it but it doesn't respond.
   It's impossible to change the value.

3. Allow Shift + arrows in an input field to always add 10 (like in Photoshop) instead of rounding up to a 10 first

   In illustrator if you change sizes using shift + arrows in the top bar, it rounds up to the nearest 10 and then goes up in 10s. In photoshop it doesn't round up just increases by 10.

   I think it would be better to be able to choose which mode to use as sometimes I prefer either depending on what I am doing.

4. release to layers not working

   release to layers not working. Does it for 1 group or sublayer, but not for all of them. Had to open CC 2014 to get it to work.

5. CC2014 No artboard names (macOS Sierra - 10.12)

   we can’t reproduce the issue on the latest version of Illustrator. CC 2014 was not supported on 10.12 we advise an upgrade.

6. Some shortcut keys is not working well

7. Hitting Enter/Return to confirm after modifying values (Stroke, Opacity, Etc) in the Top Toolbar Opens a Move Dialog Box Instead

   When modify values such as opacity in the toolbar, i have always hit enter/return to confirm changes. As of recently however, this now opens a Move dialog box instead of submitting my changes. (See the attached gif for an example)

   If there is something wrong about my workflow please let me know, but I don't currently see any other way of confirming these types of minor edits.

   After several rounds of cancelling the move dialog, the changes will miraculously go through, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why. As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating and has slowed my productivity to a crawl.

8. Pressing Tab in Color panel glitches

   When adding a color to a object via the Color panel, normally you could use tab to move to the next field in the CMYK color options. Now and for the past few versions released it glitches any time you use Tab.

   To get it to work you now have to type in the number for C, click enter then click in the M, Enter/click Enter and so on, which is time consuming. If you don't do it this way it glitches after hitting.

   In the video i linked, the first try is using Tab, then the 2nd where it works is me hitting Enter after each number and then clicking into the next field.

9. Rich tool tips keep popping up

   Rich tool tips are always randomly opening and staying open something even when I am on other side of screen. Hard to take a screen shot, as when I click to screen shot the tool tips disappear. It's been happening on 2 different machines running Sonoma for about 1 year. Never used to happen.

10. Canvas not visible when opening or creating files in Adobe Illustrator

    I’m experiencing an issue where the canvas (artboard/work area) does not appear when I open an existing file or create a new document in Adobe Illustrator.

    The application itself opens normally, and the UI loads (menus, toolbars, panels), but the main canvas area where the artwork should be displayed is completely missing or blank.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    - Open Adobe Illustrator
    - Create a new file OR open an existing file
    - Illustrator loads the interface normally
    - The canvas/artboard does not appear

    Expected Result:
    The canvas/artboard should be visible and ready for editing.

    Actual Result:
    The canvas area is not displayed at all, making it impossible to view or edit any artwork.

    Additional Notes:
    The issue happens consistently when opening or creating files.
    The rest of the interface appears functional.

12. Gradient Panel gets cut off when selecting a gradient object.

    There's an odd bug on Mac (M1 Pro with Latest version of Tahoe) where the Gradient Panel will expand in a way that it cuts off the position input when selecting an object with a gradient. Collapsing and opening the panel temporarily fixes it, but if you click off and click another gradient object again, it'll do it again.

    This bug was also in 30.1, and I just updated to the latest version a few minutes ago, tested it again, and the issue is still there.
    Gif was recorded using the latest version, 30.2.1.

14. 2026 Illustrator UI Bugs EVERYWHERE!!!!!

    Seriously, do you guys even use your own products? These issues are not buried, they are very apparent. Take a look at the attached screenshots. Gradients have been broken for a while now.

    Also, this new version is full of bugs. I have to restart Illustrator immediately after opening for the bounding box to work, half the time adobe fonts are broken and wont sync.

    Windows 11, i9, 4080 super, 64gb ram, 2gb download speed... I have all the things you need for a fast and efficient workflow, but Adobe's legacy code mixed with all the new bugs from the new MVP features you push out without proper testing make it impossible to take advantage of any of my hardware.

    It's shocking how quickly Illustrator becomes bogged down when working in large scale or with complex layer systems. You need to get with the times and start doing multicore processing.

    Is there ever going to be a plan to rebuild this dinosaur or are you planning on us still using single core processing in 2030? The dead cow has been milked dry, with other options slowly becoming available, your complacency and focus on AI will be your downfall.

15. Numeric fields don’t accept typed input (e.g. Stroke width) in 30.1

    Reporting a UI regression in Illustrator 30.1 affecting numeric input fields.

    Issue
    In fields such as Stroke Width (Properties panel) and others, cannot type numeric values directly like we used to.

    • Arrow keys and scrubby dragging work
    • Typed input is ignored (caret often never appears)
    • This makes precise values (e.g., 240 pt) extremely impractical

    Environment
    * Illustrator version: 30.1
    * OS: (macOS / Windows – occurs on both, per community reports)
    * Panel affected most often: Properties (Stroke, Transform, etc.)

    Notes
    * The former “Scrubby Sliders” preference appears removed or always-on
    * The issue behaves like a focus/caret bug, not user error
    * Using Cmd+A then typing, or pasting values, works as a workaround
    * Stroke panel is less affected than Properties panel
    * Disabling GPU Performance reduces frequency but does not resolve the issue

    Expected behavior
    Numeric fields should reliably accept typed input when clicked, as in previous versions.

    Impact
    This slows professional workflows and precision design tasks.

    Would love to have type-in fields back in 30.2. But I’m sure I’ll survive either way.

16. File New dialog is invisible with two monitors

    When i click the "New" button in the homepage, the window that has all the settings to create a new document is invisible, it doesn't appear, but the arrow of my mouse shows me that it can interact with the window, but it doesn't show. I use another monitor and i have found online that illustrator tends to have bugs while having a second monitor.

18. Every in-app window is crashing

    All in-app windows are crashing. Panels are fine, but windows will crash. This includes even the basic of the basic: new document, set color, saving settings, preferences and settings, etc.
