When closing all tabs (Cmd + Option + W), Illustrator instantly crashes.
Sometimes I have multiple tabs open, and I want to close all of them at once instead of each individually. Cmd + Option + W is a common Mac shortcut to close all tabs. In previous versions of Illustrator, this worked as expected. As of 24.2.1 on 10.15.6 version of Catalina, it crashes every time.

Converting Text to path extremely slow
Converting Text to Path ist extremely slow. I have a Job, where 1000 textboxes (each a 5 digit number) has to be converted to paths. On my iMac (3,7 GHz 6-Core i5) this task takes 16 minutes. I tried the same with 16 years old Freehand MX on a 11 years old MacPro 2 x 2,8 GHz Quad Core and it took 13 SECONDS! As there was never an Intel-Version of Freehand it runs under Rosetta what lets the Result in Illustrator look even poorer... And as I have to repeat this task 100 times I would end up in…

Actions don't work with function keys in Illustrator 2020
In CS6 the function keys worked fine to invoke actions. In Illustrator CC 2020 the function keys operate as Mac function keys but can't be used to invoke an action. For example, I have Shift + F3 programmed in AI to save a file as .PNG to the current disk. I know the action does what it should because when I double-click it in the Actions menu it works fine. When I press shift+F3, I get the multi-file window, which is the native Mac keyboard function for F3. It's as if the programmers forgot to override the Mac function keys…

program freezes on layer reorganizing and moving shapes 24.1.3
MacBook Pro OS Catalina 10.15.4
2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MBUsing a Wacom Intuos M running drivers v. 6.3.39-1
Illustrator 24.1.3
When using computer's trackpad or drawing tablet I have encountered problems that render the program unresponsive.
As I re-order layers in the layers panel and I when move simple shapes or groups of shapes across the artboard, the action is not performed. When hovering the cursor anywhere in the interface I see a circle with a strike through it, program is essentially…

New Update's shape tool take up an extraordinary amount of power.
The shape builder tool takes 4 minutes to finish deleting shapes (when hit alt to get the minus sign and subtract shapes from a selection). It takes up so much power from my CPU that my task manager says illustrator is taking up 100%. Deleting the inner parts of a font (D, R, P) took 2 hours last night when making a logo. I restarted my computer 8 times, started a new illustrator file 4 times (thinking it was a corrupt file) and eventually just waited out the extrodinary processing times to get my project done. It's really ridiculous.

CRASH AND NO RECOVERY
ever since the most recent updates, my illustrator has been crashing regularly. And worse file recovery has not recovered a single file. this is very wack. I have lost money re-doing things I already made and lost because of random crashes. Very Very disappointing and not encouraging me to continue using illustrator.

Duplicate ai files while working
I have to work remotely from a server at my job. For months now, Illustrator will create these strange duplicates of a file I work on, even if I haven't saved the file. There's no pattern to when these files are made, as I sometimes use a variable import script to btach multiple files at once, but not all files are duplicated. Please refer to the screen capture I includes.
In that folder, there should only be 2 AI files, man and woman. But without my prompting, it created those duplicates, and they can't be deleted without rebooting your computer…

Full colour image shut down to a simple line drawing
Illustrator shutdown unexpectedly. When it recovered, my drawing was fine for a moment, then reduced all the work I had done into a simple line drawing. What is going on? I don't see the image I had spent many hours developing.

Export as jpeg - saves with incorrect file name.
I am using windows 10 and 2020 version of illustrator.
When I export a file as a jpeg the jpeg file name doesn't always match the current file name. Instead illustrator is remembering previous file names and overwriting the jpeg with that name instead of the name of the pdf file I'm exporting from. It sometimes reverts to a file name that's 5 or 6 times back in my history of saved file names. EG if I have a file named File 01.pdf and I have Files 2-6 also saved as pdf files and I've exported them all as jpegs…1 vote -
Gradient tool Illustrator 24 high sierra
The Gradient tool does not work well in Illustrator 24.0.3 using high sierra 10.13.3.
When changing anything with the annotator (color stops, angle, etc) illustartor will hang for several seconds, and nothing can be selected, so I have to wait for it to resume. Often times the gradient panel will blink continuously during this time, it's weird. It's like it's having a spasm. Everything with the gradient works fine in 22.1, so I've been using the older program when i have to use a lot of gradients. This is annoying though, to constantly switch between programs. Why would you, yet…1 vote -
2019 Mac Pro with AMD Pro VEGA II Duo Graphics
I attached my AISniffer and computer configuration files from MacOS. This has been something I've brought up a couple times to Adobe and they know it's a problem but it seems like the resolution of this has been slow going.
These newer Mac Pro graphics cards don't seem to be supported with the newest version of Adobe Illustrator.
It's a problem because Adobe Illustrator runs extremely slow when it says that there isn't a compatible GPU. Can anything be done to add these graphics cards to the "approved" list?

Illustrator and InDesign crashing multiple times a day
I have a weird crash — many but not all times I step away from my Mac (2020 MacBook Pro 16" running Catalina; 64GB RAM, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB; Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB), Illustrator goes down (and often, InDesign as well). I'll come back and wake up the machine and am greeted with system crash messages. The crash message seems to be related to Dispatch queue. Is it possible this is tied to sleep functionality, or perhaps a GPU issue? Would love to resolve this.

Measuring/positioning elements improperly includes shadow/effects
It used to be that when you selected an object/element with a drop-shadow (or other effect), the measurements did NOT include the drop-shadow. HOWEVER, now they do and it's causing me lose-my-mind!!! To measure and or position ANYTHING correctly, you have to first turn-off the shadow (in the Appearance panel) then position/measure and THEN turn-on the drop-shadow!!! Seriously, this is an enormous time-waster. PLEASE, allow us to turn off the function where everything is measured-and-positioned by it's drop-shadow. PLEASE
