BRING BACK FUNCTIONALITY OF ACTIONS
As we all know all too well, the "engineering team" adds to and removes features from AI, apparently completely without considering its effective use or convenience.
Their latest trick: many operations won't record automatically anymore in Actions going from v23 to v24. Please bring that back.
Functions not recorded anymore so far:
– Create text frame
– Cmd/ctrl-0 Fit Artboard in Window
– Save As (including location, file type eg PDF and its settings)
– CloseI you find more please add them to the list.
I'm getting so tired of this ignorant behaviour!

Scrollbars missing - Windows 10 - build 23.1 (64 bit)
The scrollbars are missing when I open a file with multiple artboards. I see the zoom percent and artboard navigation inputs but they are floating almost 150px above where they should be. I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.
This issue only goes away for the current session when I fiddle with the UI settings, but comes back when I next start Illustrator.1 vote -
⌘ + = Zooming Won't Work After Recent Update
Since the most recent update 24.0.3 a couple days ago, the keyboard command to zoom in ⌘ + =, no longer works on MacBook Pro 2017 running Catalina 10.15.3 (both internal keyboard and bluetooth). Seems to be an Adobe issue as colleagues in my office are also experiencing the same problem which requires us to now use the Zoom tool. Note: the ⌘ + - combo to zoom out still functions for some reason.

escape button missing text box
The escape button does not work (is not there at all) on the touch bar on 24.0.3. When you are in tool-free mode, you cannot escape out of a text box any longer because the esc button is missing completely now.

Opening screen
Illustrator 24.1
macOS, Catalina, 10.15.3When opening Illustrator I'm presented with the home/opening screen which shows (in my case) latest files used. But regardless of how big I make that screen it never shows coreectly all the thumbs (some of them are cut-off) and there are no scrollbars to either scroll down or to theright to see everything. Would be nice if that is designed in a responsive way.

double rulers
I've isolated exactly when this occurs. If I use the preflight panel, then go into overprint preview mode, it happens when I exit overprint preview mode in the preflight panel. At that point, the top ruler becomes two rulers. It happens maybe 70% of the time. Furthermore, when this happens, the cursor becomes offset by the same size as the lower ruler. The cursor is off by something like 3/4 inch. It's easy to resolve it. Control/Y and Control/Y again and it resolves, but it keeps coming back. This only happens on my Mac which is from around 2014. It…

Comment "S" - Command "W"
If you want to quickly save and close a document using the shortcut keys (command-s) and (command-w), illustrator will save the file but will not close it! And if you then use the shortcut key for closing (command-w) then illustrator closes other open files! WTF?

when you place a file, depending on how you click to place it on the artboard, appears just as a tiny dot, which you have to delete and go P
Why not FIXING THAT so when you place it is placed the right size no matter how you lay it

Progress in window or panel
I almost never use the Application Bar (Mac).
Maybe put a progress bar for saving files in a regular window or panel?
