1. "New..." Window won't pop up after recent update

   When you click 'new...' to start a new file... nothing happens. The window should pop up.

2. Problem with Direct selections (A) - Clicking on the patch does not mark the object

   Hi,
   something has changed in Illustrator updates.

   I understand that an object nested / masked in an object should not be editable with the Selections Tool (V) from the main object level. Yes, and that's good.

   But definitely NOT when use tool (A). This is a different work scope situation in Illustrator when working with the Direct Selections Tool (A).
   Then each track visible in the Outline view should be selectable.

   This has made the job a lot more complicated now when I want to select objects inside a crop and edit their properties or shape.

4. MacOS Big Sur rendering bug.

   Hi!
   I am an apple developer and I installed Big Sur beta (now on version 3) for work. I run into a problem with Illustrator that other people are not seeing. If I open one file everything is OK. When opening two or more files, I get a really nasty visual problem, with Illustror only. See file attached. Is anybody else having this problem, is there a way to fix it? I reinstalled Illustrator and it keeps happening.

   This issue is resolved in Big Sur (macOS 11) public release

5. It is no longer possible to speed up vertical scroll holding SHIFT

   Holding SHIFT causes AI to fast scroll horizontally.
   Holding SHIFT + CMD causes AI to fast scroll horizontally.

   IE — no longer possible to fast scroll vertically??

6. Illustrator 125% Scaling is missing... (UI is too big, or too small)

   Hi
   i have a 16.5 inches laptop with latest version of windows 10, and 1920*1080 full HD display.
   the normal, and default UI scale of Windows 10 is 125% on my screen, that looks very great and standard.
   in illustrator 2020, i have a big problem in UI scaling. there is just two options:
   scale to lower supported scale factor, and scale to higher supported scale factor.... that first one makes UI scale to 100% and i can't read anything, and second one makes it on 150% scale that is very very big.

   there is not same problem in photoshop and other adobe apps, just problem exist in illustrator. so i can't work in a normal/standard interface at all... hope adobe make that fixed ASAP...

7. Window auto scrolling

   When opening Illustrator the file auto moves to the right at a slow pace. When hitting Shift it jumps - it only stay still if the mouse is off the application. The art won't stay steady on screen.

8. Control panel to set coordinates is missing

   Before the last update I used to be able to draw a square or ellipse then type the location I wanted to place it, X or Y. Now that is gone. Now I have to open another box "TRANSFORM" in order to place the shape exactly where I wanted it. Very inconvenient. If I at least had the ability to dock that box at the top it would make life much easier. It has been at the top for as long as I can remember. I often use this like a CAD software when I draw. The last update made using Illustrator very inconvenient.

   Illustrator team decided to swap the horizontal Control panel (the top bar you probably mean) with the vertical Properties panel in the default workspace.

   We can choose to show it instead of Properties with Window > Control.

9. Units dropdown in New Document dialog is trimmed, 'Millimeters' option is not visible

   During creation of new document is lacking with centimeters or millimeters in the drop down menu, please add or fix the bug, thanks

11. A layer name with Emoji breaks Layers panel

    When an artwork contains a layer whose name has emoji such as 👍, the Layers panel gets broken. Interfaces (Eye or Lock icons, thumbnail or name) of several layers or groups will disappear and lost controlled. Fortunately, I knew which layer name has emoji so that it has been recovered by deleting the emoji.

13. No x- and y-values for rectangles in the top menu bar

    The last Update 24.2 installed. When drawing a rectangle there are no more x- and y-values shown in the top menu bar!!! So they can’t be edited. Only the width and height is shown. How miserable.

    I happens when the width of the screen is not wide enough to fit all the elements the Control panel can display. Some blocks, especially from the Transform section, get omitted.

    To workaround this without purchasing a larger display, one can open the Control panel's flyout menu, untick some options, like Align, and check if the section needed returns. 14. Navigator does not change view

    In V24.02(win10, 64bit) the Navigator panel does not change the View. Wherever you click in the Navigator, the view is just moving in diagonal direction slowly.

15. Illustrator crashes when switching views in the Asset Export panel

    Has this been reported yet? There's a really easy-to-reproduce crash bug in Adobe Illustrator involving the Asset Export panel that affects even the latest version (24.2) .
    If the Asset Export panel contains more than two items and an item other than the first is currently being renamed and the view is attempted to be switched from Grid View to List View, the mouse cursor will begin to move really slowly for a few seconds and after that, Illustrator will crash. See the video attached for a demonstration.

    Adobe Illustrator 24.2
    OS: Windows
    Version: 10.0
    System Architecture: x64
    Built-In Memory: 16348 MB

    On a slightly unrelated note, I accidentally checked "Don't ask again" on the Adobe Crash reporter that would normally appear after this and I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to re-enable that screen.

17. why can't highlight multiple layers from different group anymore 24.4 update !?

    I suddenly can't highlight multiple layers from different group, by holding down the (shift) key. And deselecting with (Alt) isn't working either!

19. Dotted Guidelines on Retina Displays too small, and option to move Guidleines to back needed!

    I have a 27" Late 2015 iMac with a Retina display. I used to work with guidelines that were dots, but I've found that they are too small to see on a Retina display, so practically unusable, making me resort to using lines. However, if I move the same artwork window onto my second monitor (non-Retina), the dotted guidelines return to a reasonable size. If there was an option to increase the size of guideline dots as part of the UI preferences, that would be a great addition. Also: the ability to move guidelines to the back of the artwork needs to be added!
