In previous version the Finder command "Go to folder…" worked even for Illustrator "File/Place…" interface

user interface does not hold settings of brightness
The user interface does not hold the brightness settings. When illustrator restarts, many times it does not sustain the brightness setting from the last session

double rulers
I've isolated exactly when this occurs. If I use the preflight panel, then go into overprint preview mode, it happens when I exit overprint preview mode in the preflight panel. At that point, the top ruler becomes two rulers. It happens maybe 70% of the time. Furthermore, when this happens, the cursor becomes offset by the same size as the lower ruler. The cursor is off by something like 3/4 inch. It's easy to resolve it. Control/Y and Control/Y again and it resolves, but it keeps coming back. This only happens on my Mac which is from around 2014. Missing options panel for Object > Path > Simplify
I am missing an Options Panel for Object > Path > Simplify. Illustrator chooses a random simplification and automatically applies. MacBook Pro, OS Catalina, Illustrator 24.0.3

Comment "S" - Command "W"
If you want to quickly save and close a document using the shortcut keys (command-s) and (command-w), illustrator will save the file but will not close it! And if you then use the shortcut key for closing (command-w) then illustrator closes other open files! WTF?

when you place a file, depending on how you click to place it on the artboard, appears just as a tiny dot, which you have to delete and go P
Why not FIXING THAT so when you place it is placed the right size no matter how you lay it

Progress in window or panel
I almost never use the Application Bar (Mac).
Maybe put a progress bar for saving files in a regular window or panel?

Please Make Adobe App shortcuts compatible with Security/Adware/Antivirus software
I suddenly was seeing the "Space Bar Won't enable Hand Tool" problem that's been a plague for years. A few weeks ago, I installed AdGuard for Safari and Mac. I've been happy with it's ad blocking - but this was the culprit for the problem of the Space Bar not invoking the Hand Too, AND for Command+Space not invoking zoom. I've turned off the helpful ad blocker, and I can use my Adobe Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign were all affected).

Document Info units do not match Document Setup units
Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).

Notifications appear on bottom of screen
Notifications appear on bottom of screen. I drag them to the center of the screen but the position is not stored.

"In App" tutorials not actually In App
When I click on these tutorials, nothing happens. When I called the help, they said there are only tutorials online.
Why does this screen say "In App Tutorials" if there are only videos online? I'd assume that I could click on a tutorial option and it would walk me through the tutorial, similar to mail merge wizard. Or it would show pop up balloons with instructions on what to do, then I would do it.

Illustrator 24.0.1 lags...
Copy and paste will freeze and take about 5-10sec before i can do anything after copying even on simple files. I have tried every different performance setting combinations. Its really like adobe is just letting more and more problems every time there is a new version released...

Still not able to paste (Cmd + V) text when creating a new folder in Save As / Save a Copy / Export As dialog box in Ai 2020
In the latest update the copy and paste option is fixed when trying to do it in the save as dialog box. But if I try to create a new folder with the save as dialog box open I still cannot cmd+v to paste text into the field.

91 votesThis issue was reintroduced in MacOS update Ventura. The team ran into another issue while implementing the workaround suggested by Apple. While the team revisits this issue, users can use workaround this issues by paste through context menu. Thank you all for the patience.

Horizontal Scroll Not Working
Horizontal Scroll Not Working. Windows 10 HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx. The horizontal scroll works on other apps and on Photoshop. The horizontal scroll only does not work on Illustrator. This is a new install because I am having my macbook pro repaired because I scratched my screen. On my mac the horizontal scroll works fine. The other problems I noticed on both my mac and the new PC install is the alignment distribute input unit of measurement does not show up sometimes. Scatter Brush - Can't modify settings after initial setup

I'm running Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.0.0 on Windows 10.0There seems to be a bug with the Scatter Brush tool, which I've encountered in the past few releases.
The "OK" button in the Scatter Brush Settings dialog doesn't seem to work; clicking it doesn't update the brush to your new settings.
