Content that is in the Search Adobe Help (top right) box will be randomly pasted into the filename when entering a typing in the Save As dialog box.
Note that it only happens between 5% and 10% of the time. T
he only steps I can do to reproduce occasionally are to move the curser left or right or type a letter with the Save As dialog box open after typing something into the Search Adobe Help box.

Transform the Height of a Font Object issues

Exporting multiple artboards in Illustrator CC does not accept layer masks
I work for a big company where we create illustrator files with multiple artboards in them (kinda like a sequence) and then export them as PNG for our website.
Its a type of a users manual. We have to crop our artwork with masks, so that one artwork doesnt overlap the other. To do this, we use clipping masks. While my coworkers make the mask over the artwork, which groups all the layers together, I greate a new layer, make it a clipping mask and then drag the artwork into that clipping layer, so I can keep my layers, since…1 vote -
Can't open any files.
Illustrator won't open any files at all. Every time I try to open one (doesn't matter what file type) it causes the program to turn unresponsive.

Keyboard arrows when typing in the Text Tool
When typing within the text tool, my keyboard arrow keys fail to move the cursor between chars.

Dropbox Smart Sync Enhancement (bug still here)
If you use Dropbox Smart Sync, when you browse files in Dropbox folders to find an open/save location, Adobe softwares (AI, PS, Acrobat...) download automatically all the files in folders you are browsing !
It's said in the Adobe blog that Adobe dev team made an improvement in the march 2018 release (https://theblog.adobe.com/introducing-march-release-illustrator-cc/).

Recent Files Browser Window: Selection state highlights and selects item in row below

This has happened multiple times, consistently. It isn't a one-off incident.

Step 1: Open Illustrator from desktop icon.
Step 2: Click on a recent file from displayed recent file option thumbnails.Expected result: Selected file opens.
Actual result: The file directly below the one clicked opens (one row down) i.e. selection offset.

Type On A Path text not sticking exactly to path
When Type On A Path is applied to a circle, some type is input, and the type is rotated by effect (not permanently), the type no longer stays on the path.

Crash while setting up Action
Illustrator crashes every-time I try to set up a new action. I am trying to create a shade effect of a "sticker" but doing the following:
- Take outline vector (which is white path)
- Duplicate
- Switch to fill
- Change color to black
- Apply Shear at 20 degrees
- Edit opacity to 20%
- CrashJust curious as to why this happening. Possibly due to my file size? 162.5 MB

Pen tool located in type tools
Took me a while to find but found the pen tool hanging out with the type tools. Please stop fixing things that are not broken. I remember before CC things works pretty well. Now every time there's an update, some other bugs pop up that weren't there before. Is this just a way for engineer job security? Well whatever it is, its becoming a major pain.

Hi,
There was an issue in 23.0 causing tools to shift between groups. This has been fixed in latest update (23.0.2). After update, please reset the Basic and Advanced toolbars by opening the tool drawer (3 dots at bottom of the tool bar), then using ‘Reset’ from the fly-out menu (on top right).

Illustrator loses focus after editing in group
When a group is double clicked to edit inside (isolation mode), on leaving isolation mode the Illustrator application loses focus and clicking on any tool has no effect. To regain focus the icon in the Windows Taskbar has to be clicked.

Generating pixels loop
Back installed to 22.1 because 23 sucks so much and I now run into this endless cycling of generating pixels.

Overall dissatisfaction with Illustrator
The frequency of issues is just staggering. Files freeze on open, freeze on save, struggle with server connections, never seem to remember any recent files, or you just seem to get a beach ball for minutes on end with no clue if you need to restart or if you should just wait it out. I use illustrator more than any program and it sometimes ends up being my biggest hindrance.

File Not Rendering From Cold Start
Opening an illustrator file while Illustrator is closed will load Illustrator as normal but won't render the file once its loaded. The file is open but refuses to show with only the Recent files/New file screen showing, but with all the UI for a working file.
Only way to gain access is to force quit Illustrator and load it without opening a file.

If you drag paragraph styles in the window to order, you cannot click on styles again.

Tool Windows Collapsed on Start
Tool windows collapsed on start — make tool windows not collapsed on start. This has happened to me before, I don't remember what fixed it. This doesn't happen if the start screen for MacBook children is used.
