  1. Stylize Outer Glow does not show

    BUG: When applying "Effect >> Stylize >> Outer Glow", the effect does not appear on object stroke or fill.

    This is constant between multiple files.

  2. Artistic effects converting artwork to black

    Attempting to apply any Effects>Effect Gallery will render the vector artwork into black and white. Thinking it was a Pantone conflict, I've tried conversion to CMYK with same results.

  3. Structure fillings changing back to standard with copy and paste

    when copying a dawing filled with structures (textile) – it changes fillings after copied and pasted. thats new and its hyjacking my daily work ; ) ... now I have to "handfill" the right structures in new copies ; ) ... pleeeeeease bug-fix : )

    1. mac OS High Sierra Version 10.13.4 + latest version illustrator
    2. Fill an object with personal textile patterns (structures) copy and paste
    3. same object with same fillings appears
    4. same object with fillings in wrong sizes from standart pallette appears

  4. blending application inconsistent in groups and appearance

    To reproduce the problem, in RGB document, set up a rectangle with fill and outline, on top of some colored background shape.
    Using Appearance panel modify blending and opacity of fill and stroke to use anything other than normal blending. Then change the whole object's opacity, so it has "isolate blending" checkbox checked.

    Now try selecting any option for blending mode, other than Normal.
    All blending modes are ignored and cause no change in appearance.
    Now, select one of the blending modes anyways.
    Then expand the appearance of the object. Illustrator will create a group with path elements in the…

  5. Drop shadows unnecessarily re-render when placing new images, slowing workflow

    As of 5/22/18 using Illustrator 22.1, all existing drop shadow effects within document re-render each time a new image is placed. Rendering can take up to 30 seconds to process (a Progress dialogue box appears), which slows down workflow considerably.

    This is never an issue with InDesign or Photoshop, so I'd love to see this fixed in Illustrator. Thanks!

  6. Stroke weight reverts to previous scale when embedding after rotating a graphic.

    AI CC 22.1

    I had an linked .pdf at 10% scale, which I rotated 90 degrees, then scaled up by 1000%, then I embedded the file. The strokes in the artwork reverted back to 10% size. If I repeat the procedure, but do not rotate the file first, then the stoke retains the enlarged size.

  7. Blending Modes BUG in Ai

    1. Version of Adobe Illustrator - 22.1 Machine: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M380 2048 MB
    2. The issues - Using Blending Modes (specifically Screen/Color Burn). Worked both in on-screen preview mode & saved as a jpg, Thursday, April 12th, 2018. Today, Monday April 16th, they are not displaying properly on-screen, in print, or in saved file preview. (if color mode is switched to RGB, blending mode displays more properly, but not in Overprint Preview) Screen blending mode disappears/Color Burn retains only some parts of the graphic in black. Does not translate between cc programs either.

  8. Extrude and bevel

    Trying to use 3d/extrude and bevel on a mbp 15 and the computer freezes until I cancel. Is it possible the window is showing beyond my screen? (had it connected to a monitor earlier, but restarted 3 times!)

  10. Convert to shape tool

    When using the convert to shape tool / ellipse:

    Select circle imported from PDF that has 100's of points around perimeter. Use convert to shape, ellipse option. If I set the tool to "relative", and the value to zero "0", then the converted shape should match the original. Instead, the shape is larger, because it is using the size of the box inscribed in the circle instead of the diameter (or width and height). Please fix this.

  12. No fill no stroke rectangle in Illustrator CC 2018 on a PC has an appearance on it and it shouldn't

    When you try to make and use a no fill no stroke rectangle (in Illustrator CC 2018 on a PC) and attempt to use it to define a pattern piece or a brush (so you can create an overlap) the rectangle doesn't work! If you select it and, from the Appearance panel flyout menu, Reduce to basic appearance then it works. So, clearly some appearance is on the shape which isn't visible but which is causing it to fail.   13. Illustrator crashes when using the appearance panel or styles and effects.

    Illustrator CC 2018 crashes with the blue screen of death especially when I am working on the appearance panel or effects drop down menu. Illustrator simply freezes, promoting that is not responding and in 5-10 seconds the system crashes. Please help! Need to meet deadlines.

  14. White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D

    White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D. Is there any solution to fix this.

  15. unknown error (CANT)

  16. Effects on objects same and different colour issues

    Illustrator 2018 CC 22.0.1
    Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6

    As per video, when setting multiple objects with the same colour (Global or not) and then applying any Effect, there seems to be no Effect applied where it worked in previous versions of Illustrator. There also seems to be no effects sometimes on objects with different colours.

  18. Bug - Element Transparency not adjustable after setting transparency once.

    CC 2018
    Placing elements on pasteboard works fine. I adjusted the transparency of the element on layer to 40% over a red box. Now the element shows that transparency. If you try to revise the transparency the properties window shows the element at 100%. There is no way to adjust the transparency back to it's original 100% or know the current transparency.

  19. different line thickness for rotated and unroted objects

    I combined 2 horizontal bars with one vertical bar in the middle, resembling the Latin 'I'. Bar thickness was 7pix. In fields of many of these objects the unrotated I's look like having thicker bars compared to the rotated, there the bars are slim. Aliasing errors?

  20. Scaling only appearance (without objects) doesn't work

    I want to scale appearance of my art only, without changing scale of art itself. The way I'm trying to do it — is to use Scale tool's dialogue with 'Transform objects' unchecked and 'Scale strokes and effects' checked.
    AI does nothing.
    Strangely, but if I cut and paste this art into new document, AI don't allow to uncheck 'Transform objects' anymore.
    I can work around this, scaling art with effects down, and then enlarge only art, without effects, up to desired size, but this is not very nice way to do it.
    Photoshop does scaling of effects all right.
