Overprint black does not record in action in CC2018
In CS6 it was possible to record the properties of the Edit > Edit Colors > Overprint Black command into an action.
In CC2018 (22.1) this is no longer possible and would appear to be a bug.

Illustrator crashes for no reason multiples times a day
While using the latest (up to date) version of illustrator CC 2018 on my macbook pro (High Sierra 10.13.1) I get constant crashes on illustrator, forcing me to restart the computer as it freezes and does not recover. These are a few of the instances when this has occured:
- Changing between an Indesign open window and a Illustrator open window/document.
- Zooming in/out.
- Pasting copied objects from another open illustrator project.
- Moving an object inside a canvas.
- Creating new canvas in an open document.

Type Object Selection by Path Only not working correctly
When a Type Object is rotated, Ai selects it when the pointer is clicked in side the bounding box of the rotated object, even when Selection by Path Only is active.

Illustrator Crashing when opening files
When I'm working in Illustrator and I have another file I want to open, I'll double-click open a file and Illustrator will stop responding. I'll need to quit using the task manager and open the files again.
I had a work-around of opening a file from File > Open, but now that just crashed my illustrator file as well.
I'm working on Windows 10. Unfortunately I can't share my files, but it's been happening across several projects. Can't pin-point a specific issue.

Special characters and Data merge
New data merge feature does not import special characters like trademark or inch marks. Followed steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html
Attached is an example package artwork and a csv for data merge. I need the inch marks and TM to pull in as part of the text.
I have used scripts in the past to generate artwork from data which has worked to pull in any character found here http://hypertransitory.com/blog/2015/04/26/illustrator-variable-data/

Illustrator freezes - must close using Task Manager
Illustrator freezes, menus not accessible and/or if they open, it is blank. I can still select items on the artboard, but cannot use anything in menus and tools. Once Illustrator freezes, I cannot close unless I use the Task Manager.

Eyedropper tool doing whatever it wants
For example. when using alt click (as for copying the style of what I have selected to another thing. It DELETES ALL STYLE from the thing I'm clicking on. When I click normally it just copies color (sometimes) and even though I have everything checked in the eyedropper tool setting. It just copies just color.
This is making me wast a lot of time
I already updated the software AND also did a fresh reinstall, even deleting settings. Didn't work.2 votes -
Crashes when closing Illustrator
After saving the file I am working on and selecting to clear the data on the clipboard (or even if I select not to clear the data), Illustrator will freeze and the bring up the Adobe Crash report dialogue box.
I have tried to provide feedback in this box, but if I change any of the settings on the Crash report box or type any comments, this too crashes. Windows registers the programme as not responding and tries to find a solution (and doesn't find any) and then closes Illustrator.

Rasterizing artwork Overprints being discarded
When you rasterize art that has overprints the overprints are being discarded.
Illustrator CC2018 22.1

Problem syncing with CC Files on startup (sometimes!!)
Well the title says it all, really!
It looks like I have NO files in the cloud. But not all the time. Restarting Illustrator sometimes solves the problem.
I reïnstalled the program, have the latest updates, etc...
Maybe I overlook something?

Error using picas
This error has existed in Illustrator since at least version 10, in 2001.
Switch units to Picas in Preferences > Units… or by right-clicking in the ruler and selecting Picas.
Select any object.
Go to Object > Transform > Move…
Enter a negative value higher than -1p0. e.g. -0p9.
Watch as the value is converted to a positive and the object moves to the right, or don, not to the left or up.

graphic style library don't load at startup
Hello,
Even with the option "persistent" ticked, custom graphic Style libraries don't reopen automatically.

Several Illustrator 22.0.1 Issues with High Sierra Update
The issues keep surfacing after the OS High Sierra update making my job increasingly difficult and frustrating. Issues ranging from bounding boxes not working to the inability to modify/click on text. Also, I find that I sometimes after some design and then saving the project, the layout switches back on all the changes that I made, after saving is complete. I'll close the file, reopen, and the changes appear as they should have. Crashing is also an issue, seems "minor" compared to these other problems. Bad precision of the mouse/cursor
I am using Illustrator CC2018 on a MAC OX Sierra.
There is a huge issue with the precision of the cursor. It is super shaky, keeps on appearing/disappearing. It's worst when you hit Alt, cmd, or space. I can't see the tools I am using, for example, the cursor is always black, even if I am using the white cursor ( "A" tool).
This is really annoying, even more when I try to work with my Intuos pen and tablet... It is simply impossible.

Units constantly auto resets to inches on every new document no matter how many times the preferences are set to point.. This bug needs a f
The most current version of Illustrator auto resets to inches for units with every new document created. I have set preferences for points, quit Illustrator and relaunched to create a new document and preferences default back to inches. This is a bug that needs a fix.

file does not keep imported and applied paragraph styles after saving the file
- Illustrator 16.0.4 (CS6) Mac OS 10.11.6
- After applying imported paragraph styles, I can save the file, but when reopening the style effects have gone. Tried to erase the preferences etc. but it reappears not immediately, but after two or three steps for sure... What can I do?

Charts and Graphs: x-axis number values shift when revising data in a bar graph
When reconfiguring a bar chart with new data (as opposed to creating a new chart), the values at the bottom x-axis will shift on their y-axis, or in other words, their baseline will shift.

Caps Lock
My version of Adobe Illustrator acts like the Caps Lock is on when it is off, and when I press the button again, it returns to the original tools. Help!
