  1. Transform Pattern Tiles Checkbox in Settings resets after applying Transofm Effect in Appearance Panel

    Hi there!
    When you check "Transform Pattern Tiles" in Settings, and after that - edit or apply the Transform effect in the Appearance panel without checking "Transform Patterns" in the Transform Effect window (even if you are not editing a pattern fill), the "Transform Pattern Tiles" checkbox in Settings resets.

    You don't think about Patterns when you are editing not a pattern fill. So it's insanely inconvenient.

  2. The windows I last opened are forgotten every boot up. Only the project window opens by default. (Switching Workspaces doesn't open windows)

  3. Crash when clicking on options in … (More Options) popup in the Properties panel

    This one exist for at least a year: when object is selected and Properties panel docked to the right, click on the … (More Options) button in the Transform section. Then it either crashes immediately or when some option is modified (like "Scale Strokes and Effects").

    I remember I reported that while ago, but got no reply and obviously no attention from support team.

  4. New document screen doesn't close upon creating new document, locking me out of program

    The following issue has popped up a couple times now: I'll be working in Illustrator (Windows 10) and want to create another new document. I'll navigate to File>New and be faced with the New Document popup. I'll select my desired parameters and hit "create," and the document will be created behind the popup -- but the popup won't close, and I can no longer click the main Illustrator window to work behind it. I've had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del every time this happens; there's no opportunity to save work. (This has only ever happened when I've had Illustrator already open, never…

  5. Text Input Fields Displaying as Broken Text

    Sonoma 14.5 running on MacBook M1 Pro.

    All input fields are now ????????? every time I select them edit values. All keystrokes turn into ?.

    The only third party apps I use are rectangle and scroll reverser. Problem persists after closing the apps. Running the same version of Illustrator on an M2 MBP at work with no issue.

  6. Paste in front places objects in a wrong position

    Just updated to Illustrator 28.3 on macOS Ventura 13.4 on iMac 19,1.
    Paste in front is fine on current artboard copied from. But paste in front does not land in corresponding location on another target artboard.
    i.e. - copy text or art from artboard A. Paste in front artboard A lands in exact same spot. Paste in front artboard B (same size, but to the right of A) lands at -6.568" @ 139.125° from artboard A location (up and to the left). Artboard C (2nd document) lands up and to the left -19.6735" @ 169.064° of expected location.

  7. Swatches panel does not remember the size of chips when toggling List / Thumbnails view

    When I choose to display Large Thumbnail View in Swatches panel’s flyout menu, I expect Ai to respect my size choice and remember it, when I use the two buttons in the panel itself to switch List / Thumbnails modes.

    Instead, Illustrator forces it to Small (which can be OK, since I never chose the List to be large) and does not even remember my previous choice when I switch back (which is totally not OK).

  8. Shift + F puts screen in presentation mode.

    WIth version 28.2 Shift + F puts the screen in presentation mode even though there is no hotkey setting for it, it was blank in the keyboard shortcut menu.

    I added a hotkey command that i would never use to so it doesn't keep going into it when I accidentally hit those keys since ctrl + F i use a lot. and Shift + F still puts it in presentation mode. I have never had this issue before until today...

  10. Reduce History Panel Minimum Width

    Please reduce the history panel minimum width.
    Currently it's wider than (almost?) all of the history step names.

    Ideally this panel width could reduce to just show the icons of each history step.

    Common actions like Move and Clear would benefit from icons better representing the changes made.

    All the different type adjustments would also benefit from displaying their corresponding icons from their respective panels (font size, letter spacing, line height, paragraph alignment etc.)

  11. Partage d'écran: «conversion des éléments déplacés au format EPS»

    Lorsque j'utilise Illustrator avec le partage d'écran, déplacer une image et très compliqué.
    Lors du déplacement d'une image, le pop-up « conversion des éléments déplacés au format EPS » apparaît plusieurs fois. Très souvent lors du déplacement d'une image, la connexion au Partage d’écran se coupe et il faut attendre un certain temps avant que la connexion ou Partage d’écran se fasse de nouveau.
    Tous les autres logiciels de la suite, Adobe Creative Cloud fonctionne parfaitement. Je ne rencontre ce problème qu'avec Illustrator.
    Illustrator est installé sur un Mac studio, 2023, avec une puce Apple, M2 Max et Sonoma 14.5

  12. Shortcut for "New from template" does not always work on the home screen

    Open a fresh instance of Illustrator 2024 mac, use the CMD+Shift+N shortcut to open the new from template window, close it and try again. Most often the shortcut does not work. This is also the case if the shortcut is used after closing a file and returning to the home screen.

    The interface UI font fails to follow the Windows system settings. A lot of serif fonts are used in Chinese, making it very difficult to distinguish.

    The red part does not follow the operating system font, and the blue part correctly follows the operating system font. In Chinese Windows, the default font of the operating system is "Microsoft Yahei"

  14. Menu items missing

    I guess this is a bug, but a lot of items are missing from the menus on my Illustrator. The ones I notice most are Window and Object, I'm not sure if stuff is missing from the other menus as well. I have everything up to date, and I'm on Windows 11, version 23H2.

  15. Translate Mistake

    In the "Your files" in homepage and language setting as Traditional Chinese , there is a existing mistake about translation. In English, the word "Replicate" should be translated as "複製" in Traditional Chinese, rather than "复制" it's in Simplified Chinese. Hope your company can translate corresponding to the local language.

  16. First colour value should be highlighted by default

    When SHIFT-clicking the colour swatch to bring up the Alternate Colour UI, the first selectable value should be automatically highlighted so that I can type a value in without having to first focus on the entry field with either a mouse click of by hit the TAB key.

  17. ファイル保存時のオプションダイアログの位置が保持されない Save dialog gets shifted left each time

    IlklustratorCC ver 26.5.1

    ファイル保存時にファイル名を指定した後オプション設定画面が開きますが、このダイアログの位置が保存を繰り返すたびに左に移動します。最終的には半分見切れる状態となり、設定を行う為にダイアログウインドウ自体をマウスで移動させる必要があります。

    再現方法
    1.ファイルを作成する。
    2.「ファイル→保存」でファイル名を任意に指定し、保存ボタンをクリック。
    3.従来のオプションダイアログは表示領域の中央に表示されましたが表示位置が左にずれています。
    4.1〜3を繰り返すと、最終的には半分見切れる状態まで移動してしまいます。

    期待する動作
    従来のバージョンの様にダイアログの位置が意図に反して動かない。

    現状の結果
    ダイアログが保存するたびに移動し、見切れてしまう。

    対応策
    ダイアログをマウスでドラッグして位置を戻す。

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  18. Pop-ups won't close in magnified view setting.

    When I open the text tool, this dialogue box (bottom right corner) opens. I think it's supposed to be one of those helpful guides that shows up after an update, but for me, it shows up, doesn't go away, is fixed to the bottom right corner of my screen, and obstructs my view. I have absolutely no way to close it; I've tried. The [x] button, I believe, floats off the corner of the screen. I can't drag it; it's fixed. It's just stuck there and stays there, all huge and in the way.

  19. Bug - Blank Workspace

    When I open an AI file there seems to be a 80/20 chance that it will not display properly. As the file is opening I can see everything but the moment it's fully loaded the workspace goes completely blank (gray without an artboard). I can still see toolbars and can move around the workspace. I can even select all and delete unseen assets but I can't draw new ones.

    I have to close and reopen the file multiple times until it happens to show up. I've already tried:
    • Resetting Preferences
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator
    • Renaming the UXP/other…

  20. Bounding Box outside path and wrong dimensions

    After 22 years of using Illustrator, the bounding box does not works anymore as it was used to.
    When I draw a square of 10mm x 10mm with a centered path of 0,5mm the bounding box was always visualized precisely over the path and the dimensions of the square are 10x10mm
    Since yesterday (01.18.2024) the bounding box is visualized outside the path and the dimensions are 10,5 x 10,5mm
    Hope that is only a bug and not a feature
