Blending paths with Width profiles works wrong
Create two lines.
Apply width profiles to both of them.
Blend them.
Ai will generate steps that have uniform profiles instead of intermediate.12 votesResolved (Comments Open) · AdminIllustrator Engineering (Software Engineer, Adobe Illustrator) respondedHi,
Based on the information provided by Margaret in the last comment, the issue is not specific to Illustrator but related to Astute's Dynamic Sketch tool. Thus closing the issue for now.

Plz examine the file. Two paths with different width profiles when reflected. Bottom one behaviour is good, top path behaves badly. Why would this be ?

New update, stroke profile bug
Just got the latest update and now my Width profile 3 on stroke settings is adding these little rounded bumps to the corners that were (prior to update) sharp. The end points are also slightly curved. Right side does not have bumps but has same curve when points on this profile used to be sharp. All of my settings and prefs have stayed the same. I use this stroke profile alot so I noticed this issue right away. Please fix. Photo attached.
Thanks

Illustrator not recognizing strokes from imported document using Blend Tool with specified steps
I've imported a document into build 24.3 that was previously created in the latest version of Illustrator, and strokes used in a blend of two lines using a width profile are not present. Instead, they are seen as fills, with no ability to edit the stroke.
Using mid-2012 Mac Book Pro and 10.14.6 Mojave OS

Bug with stroke
Hello! I got a bug. When you copy a shape to a new artboard, a stroke appears that cannot be deleted. It is superimposed over the usual stroke. And when you remove the fill and stroke, it remains. The same when reinstalling the program, this problem remains in this file.
P.S. I worked in the latest version of illustrator1 voteThe target layer has an appearance assigned. See comments for details.

Glitch in outlining a dotted stroke
macOS Catalina 10.15.1 Illustrator 2020
I made a line, applied dashed line, adjusted gap(2,4) and dash(0,01) to make it look like dots and outlined. Random dots have been cut in half after outlining.
It never happened to me before.3 votes -
Nothing happens when I double click my width tool
When I double click my width tool to try and access my wrinkle tool nothing happens, I am currently trying to design a logo for a company in town, and would very much like the effect the wrinkle tool gives.

Width tool messes up the width points when a path is extended / shortened / cut
Maybe this feature exists already but I haven't been able to find it.
When using the width tool, it would be nice if you could "freeze" the width nodes in their position, so you could extend or shorten the path. Today the nodes adjust to the new length of the path, messing up all your previous work.

Round caps for a stroke turn into butt caps when expanded or outlined
New bugs for Illustrator CC 22.0.1.
- make Path Line(pen tool), set Stroke Weight, set Round Cap
- use "Outline Stroke" in "Path" menu in "Object" menu" (or "Expand" in "Object" menu")
- confirm result
The state of the start point or the end point changes from before processing.
Attach screenshot of Japanese version. It does not happen in CC 2017.

Expanded Objects have missing Corner Widgets
Problem occurs in all versions of Illustrator 21.x.x and 22.x.x
When an Object with a non-simple Appearance is Expanded the resulting shapes have Corner Widgets created for some of the corners but not for others.
All corners should have Corner Widgets.
When an Object with a non-simple Appearance is Expanded the resulting shapes have Corner Widgets created for some of the corners but not for others. I don't understand why when I expand a rectangle I get a new rectangle with 3 corners that have Corner Widgets but the 4th corner doesn't have a Corner Widget - how can it…

Expanding stroke on small objects seem to omit points in result
A very small ellipse, after its stroke is expanded, looses its lower inner point and the curviness changes visually. Please see the test file and the animation attached.

Stroke alignment out of bounds
When drawing objects on top of each other stroke points tend to go out of bounds and are not aligned with other objects in line. I don't know if this is bug or my settings messed but its annoying and would like to get it fixed or solution.
