  1. Keyboard shortcuts not working with KLIM keyboard on ASUS laptop

    I have just installed a new (external) on my ASUS laptop and now all of the keyboard shortcuts that require three keys to be held, such as send to back, are not working. They work on the laptop keyboard.

    Shortcuts work in all other programs (such as word and online)

    I have updated all drivers, updated CC and also reinstalled the program. I have checked sticky keys are on and filter keys off. I don't know what else to do - it is severely impacting workflow.

  2. Arrow keys cancel file saving

    Illustrator v. 26.3.1 on 16 inch, 2021 M1 MBP running MacOS Ventura(13.0.1).
    When I save a file, I typically arrow over to the end of the autofilled filename to remove the end of it and add what I want to add per my file naming system. However, when I press any arrow key on my keyboard, the "save file" dialogue box closes, and I have to initiate the process over again. No other keys cause this issue to occur, only the arrow keys. I do use an external keyboard, but in testing, the arrow keys on the built-in keyboard produce…

  4. Shape expanded automatically bug

    This is a bug I am experiencing. As soon as make a change on a shape it gets expanded automatically and this is not reversible if a pathfinder mode has been used (minus front for example). I am getting a small grey notification saying "shape expanded". I have not found a way to turn this off but it makes Illustrator un-usable for my purposes. I am attaching a screenshot of the notification that appeared as soon as moved one of the rectangle anchor points. Please help me as this is a business show-stopper for me. :(

  5. Linked Files Crop changing when reopening a file

    I linked .ai files placed with a "bounding box" crop from the import options. When this file with the linked file is closed and reopened, the links already placed automatically switch to a "media" crop. This causes the linked file to appear much smaller.

  6. Certain colors generate #000000 HEX values in Color Picker dialog

    Bug in 2023 (v 27.1.1) Illustrator. Certain colors, when examined with the Color Picker, shows HSB rightness of 0, RGB all 0, and Hex code of #000000. See GIF.

    This is a pretty severe bug with other downstream consequence. Dragging these "broken" colors into swatches, for example, generates pattern swatches instead of process color swatches.

    3. examining colors by double-clicking the Fill color square
    4. expected: always have valid HSB/RGB/hex returned. Bug: some colors give incorrect values.

  8. Illustrator not saving properly

    Saving our work is a MAJOR issue! Since updating, I'm having different ones. Sometimes when I command/save, then reopen that file, the last change I made is gone. Now, when I do a save as, Illustrator only saves part of the file name I typed in..

    Attached are screen shots showing the file name I try to save it as, and the incorrect file name it saves as.

    WTF is up with this stuff? I'm no programmer, but how is it that major bugs like this come up with every new version? I am spending more time working around Adobe…

  9. Fonts do not displaying on Character panel

    Select the text inside the illustrator and character panel is empty, never show any fonts be using. My computer didn't install the fonts but can display correctly in illustrator.
    When exported to PDF, can check the fonts is using Lora-Bold.

    I'm really frustrated and worries, how to check incoming files if always having this issue.

    Please help on this method.

  11. pattern swatches using raster artwork creating glitch

    I am using a mac studio, M1 Max chip, Ventura 13.1, and Illustrator 27.1.1. Issue occurs when using GPU view.

    I use pattern swatches extensively in my work to create a digital foil effect. My pattern swatches are made from raster images placed into Illustrator. I have been using this for years with no problem and am only experiencing this problem since upgrading my computer and my software.

    When I move artwork that uses the pattern swatches, splotches of my pattern appear in my document, sometimes even on my artboard covering my artwork.

    This directly interferes with my workflow.

  13. "NEW ART HAS BASIC APPEARANCE" APPEARANCE panel options NOT working for BRUSH

    On the desktop version of Illustrator.....

    When you use the pencil tool with 'NEW ART HAS BASIC APPEARANCE" set in the APPEARANCE panel options, any subsequent/new pencil art has a basic appearance as it is supposed to.

    When you use the pencil tool with 'NEW ART HAS BASIC APPEARANCE" NOT set in the APPEARANCE panel options, any subsequent/new pencil art has the same appearance as the last made pencil stroke as it is supposed to.

    THESE TWO 'NEW ART HAS BASIC APPEARANCE" SETTINGS in the APPEARANCE panel options unfortunately DO NOT WORK this way when using the Brush tool.

  14. highlighted selection box not appearing for text

    When I select text, the bounding box appears, but when I select actual letters/words to edit, there is no highlighted/selection box showing me that I am selecting characters and which one. It's like I'm playing a bit of a guessing game: let's see if I actually selected the letters I meant to, fingers crossed!

  17. When I cut or Copy an element from illustrator, Paste is not available inside Illustrator

    When I Cut or Copy an element from illustrator, Paste is not available inside Illustrator. For example I have a text, I select it, choose the Edit > Cut option and then the text dissapears but the option of Edit > Paste is not available.

  18. Automatic hyphen turns in to different glyph character

    I have a strange phenomenon on my Mac (Ventura 13.0.1): in the example there are three identical texts in 3 different font types (purchased, Adobe and Google). All fonts are available in the font manager program (RightFont) and auto-activation is enabled (the fonts are NOT activated initially).

    I open the Illustrator (27.0.1) file and RightFont reports that missing fonts are available for activation (Illustrator also reports this, but I ignore this message, as RightFont already 'takes care' of it.

  20. All elements disappearing the more I edit. They show in layers panel, but not on artboard or in exports.

    I'm working from (an up-to-date version of) an Illustrator file with five differently sized artboards. They all are using the same elements and symbols, just arranged different for different layouts. When I click on one of the artboards and select a group to scale down, the elements begin disappearing and have not reappeared.

    I exited the group and more elements in the artboard disappeared. Clicking out of the artboard group itself made the entire group disappear. When I click back into the artboard, selecting an element reveals the outlines and bounding boxes, but the artwork itself is not visible. Opacity…
