I have just updated Illustrator to version 22.1 from my creative cloud and it is crashing every time I try and save! This is not good at all. I am running MAC OS High Sierra 10.13.5
Will you be fixing this issue?

Happening for me as well on the newest version of CC. Can't save anything in photoshop/Illustrator without it freezing. So much lost productivity waiting on them to respond.

That Illustrator CS5 flashes with your work into irretrievable oblivion when you try and save it under OSX High Sierra (10.13.4) looks to me – and, it appears, to a multitude of other private uses in particular –blatant coercion to "upgrade" to CC.
I purchased Adobe CS5 Extended a while ago and it has served me well – and continued to do so until I bought a new iMac with High Sierra installed.
I no longer use Illustrator or Photoshop daily, nor even weekly, and InDesign even more rarely these days, so I see no advantage whatsoever on purchasing – in effect, "renting" – the use of the suite on a monthly payment plan.
It would be a gesture of goodwill – and shrewd marketing move in the longer term – by Adobe to provide a bug-fix or workaround for this problem, or to work with Apple to do so. Right now it is obvious (to some of us) that being held hostage in this way is causing significant frustration and resentment among customers, past and potential and, what is worse, it will only encourage those who are prepared to resort to irregular ways of "beating the system" (and I don't mean the OS).
Taking care your customers is basic good business – unless, of course, you have a monopoly, in such a case you just may not care … until someone else comes along with a better product and service. -

Clearly, Mr. Sr. Quality Engineering Manager - Illustrator, 22.1 does NOT fix the problem. The EXACT same problem is still happening, given the multitude of distress calls on the forum. So, it is not COMPLETED. Many, if not most, AI users rely on it for their income. An acknowledgement that you realize the problem is NOT fixed, what you are doing about it and when we can expect relief would be a very nice transparent (and refreshing) start. WAY better than the condescending and untrue COMPLETED. We need help, please, sir.

Same as below. Crashing every time I try to save. Does not save before crashing.
Updated and tried saving to new locations. Rebooted.
Honestly wtf -

Try changing the save location via the dropdown menu on a Mac. This has worked for me.

I am running Illustrator CS5. I bought the complete Creative Suite and I don't want to have to update to running CC.
CS5 is adequate for what I do. Spent enough money as it is.
I'm 72 years old and on a pension but still do the odd job for community groups
Now Illustrator CS5 crashes every time I try and save.
New iMac and OS 10.13.4
What the **** can I do? Not happy at all

Lost hours today. Illustrator wouldn’t save anything more than a blank page without crashing.
Working off MacBook Pro running El Capitan. Software upto date. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CC and illustrator but with no joy. What is going on? I’ve searched for answers but can’t find one. I have deadlines looming!! -

Hi Didier,
Sorry to hear that. Will it be possible for you to have a connect session? I would like to have a look into it to isolate it further?

After losing a lot of time and finishing my day on the illustrator 2015.3.1, I decided this morning to give another try to the new version (CC22.1). I needed to restart my computer 4 times to start properly, but now It seems to work. I don’t know what happened… but I am happy that it now seems ok…
