View Using GPU Gets Greyed Out Permanently with Outline Mode
Hello, with fresh preferences, 'View using GPU' and scrubby zoom are enabled in Illustrator. if I turn on Outline Mode, Illustrator loses connection with my GPU. The 'View using GPU' option becomes greyed out and never restores. In order to get it back I have to delete my preferences. Here is my system info:
Illustrator 25.1
OS: Windows 10
GPU: 2 x NVIDIA Titan Black
RAM: 64 GB Memory
GPU Driver: Driver 460.89
Display: ASUS PQ321Q 4K

First Upload did not work...
Here a video of the Problem. Only way to fix it is switching back to 25.0...
But using an outdated Version while paying for the newest can’t be the solution. -

Mike Choo's workaround about using New Window command is what help me! Big thanks Mike!
The CMYK workaround from Mr.Gadodia didn't work for me though. -

While some of the glitches we had seem to be fixed (at least on my iMac here), there is still some strange behaviour that seems to occur on every version newer than 25.0:
Everytime I open a document, the workspace turns black for a moment. That is not a big problem, but strange, as it never happened in 25.0 or older.
Second, there a quite often problems in refreshing the display, when moving around in the illustration or copying/dragging objects around. The display gets crippled (blank spaces, where they should not be) and I have to force a refresh to see the propper illustration again.

I have downloaded the Beta version of Illustrator and the bug still persists, and I have tried the color profile trick but it does not help either. So I keep using my previous version 25.2.3

This doesn't help in 25.3.1

Have this issue on version 25.3.1
OS: Windows 10
GPU: RTX 2060 super
RAM: 32GB
Driver: 462.31 -

Also, editing your Color Settings from within Illustrator for your current profile to use Adobe ACE, resaving the profile with a slightly different name, quitting Illustrator, opening Bridge, editing color settings to use your newly saved color settings file, and syncing across applications, possibly will fix the problem.

Rolling back to 24.3, where this Issue is not present.

Not ideal, but it's saved a lot of time over closing/reopening documents or Illustrator itself."
This trick works for me until I "Show Rulers," then it turns off GPU rendering for that window permanently. I can make another new window, making sure rulers are off first, and GPU rendering again works.
I've mentioned this particular quirk in another comment about this bug. It has to be something related to the "Ruler" visibility or the code for the "Ruler" display. I use my rulers and guidelines quite often, so not using Rulers is a no-go for my workflow.

Not fixed. View outline turn into CPU view then can't not back to GPU view, I have to restart Illustrator to get back to normal. Really annoyed!

Nope. Not fixed. The GPU view is greyed out as soon as I create a new document from our standard new document template. Works fine in 25.0.0 down. Anything above that is either partial or not at all in terms of rendering with the GPU. I'm attaching the file here for reference. There is nothing crazy or arcane in this template.

Hey Adobe, what about one year of not implementing any "new great features" and just fixing all those bugs? Just dreaming...
By the way... the "magic link" for commenting here, also does not work reliable... needs several tries most of the time to get the mail...
