New update (v24.3) printer errors
After the latest Illustrator update (v24.3), it keeps giving me printing error messages. My printer drivers and etc are up-to-date. This is the first time this has happened in many years, I don't even remember the last time I had printer errors via Illustrator. I've used Ai for over 20 years of my professional design and illustration career, several of the Ai CC 2020 updates have been nothing but a royal pain-in-the-a$$ overloaded with glitches, bugs, and crashes. I've never been so frustrated with this beloved drawing program. Adobe, please get Adobe apps to work properly like it once was.…

Overprint is not maintained after making PDF - separation files are not correct
When using spot colors to overprint, the PDF files show knockouts in Acrobat. For example, when overprinting a 10% black square over a Pantone square, the result is a knockout, even though the attributes are set to overprint.
When correcting for this I tried the Transparency feature to make a 10% gray, but the result is an overprint with a screen for each plate where the overprint should occur. (see attached image) The only correct plates were produced by printing a postscript file and using distiller to create the plates. This did not happen is previous versions.

Problems with Illustrator crashing when printing ink separations as a PDF
I'm having problems with Illustrator crashing when printing ink separations as a PDF. I didn't have the issue before, but now I am. Thankfully I'm able to print my separations to the RIP just fine, so work can progress. However when I try to print separations as a PDF to look them over before sending to the rip, the program freezes and eventually crashes. Does anyone know why this happens and how it can be resolved?

making postscript file
i working with illustrator from cs4 and cs5.
in cs5 version of illustrator when i print my artwork to a postscript file with the generic post script driver, the default path for saving file was the path of saved current document or latest saved location, and that was very good and time saver for me.
but in CS6 and later versions, the default location for save file is "this pc" or my computer ...
and this is very time vested process.

Error: Can't print the illustration - Just updated to 23.0.1 - Trying to print to HP DesignJet 1055CM Plotter
Error: Can't print the illustration - Just updated to 23.0.1 - Trying to print to HP DesignJet 1055CM Plotter - I can print to a HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw just fine. If I don't get the Error then the program crashes.

Illustrator CC 2018, will not print after recent upgrade.
Microsoft 10, Illustrator CC 2018, will not print after recent upgrade.
Photoshop does and all other programs will print.

printing ppd changes
I go to print a file. Select my printer preset.
I get the error
"The specified PPD is invalid. The default PPD will be used."
I hit OK.
Print window pops back up
I manually select the printer. Hit print. I get another error that says" can't print file"
I hit OK
File -print again.
I manually select the printer and the ppd to match.
Make sure everything else. Size, placement of the file are okay. Hit Print. Then it will print.I tried resaving my preset, but this has not changed the issue.

some objects wont print
I am running illustrator CC 2018 on windows 8.1
When I print certain files certain objects will not print. I have attached an example of the result. When I print black and white it works. Another person in our company with the same update and similar computer is able to print with no problem. Print menu resets to default when loading Pantone colour book
Bug - Print menu resets to default when selecting a Pantone colour from any book
This in turn causes print tiling, page size etc. to disappear. Then have to return to print dialogue and set everything back to A3, page tiling etc.Been persisting with this bug for over 6 months, very annoying.

Document’s dimensions are 10 times larger when printing
Illustrator calculates dimensions incorrectly.
The problem is when printing from Illustrator.There is no problem saving the file and placing it in ONYX.

用紙サイズ指定で手差し印刷ができない
- 使用アプリ: Adobe Illustrator
- 前の環境：Windows10 / llustrator 28.4.1
- 現在の環境：Windows11 / llustrator 29.5.1 または 28.7.7
- 印刷機：富士フイルム DocuPrint C4150 d
問題：
前の環境では手差し印刷できるのですが、現在の環境では手差しトレイから印刷できません。
手差しトレイからではなく、標準のトレイから違うサイズの用紙を出してしまいます。行った手順：
印刷時にプリンタの詳細設定（左下の「プリンター（U）…ボタン→その他の設定）で・「用紙トレイ選択」を手差しのトレイに設定
・「原稿サイズ」を「ユーザー定義用紙」に設定
（バグを確認したのは、A3より少し大きめの306x437mm）また現在の環境では、データを再印刷する際に、印刷の詳細設定がリセットされてしまいます。
（前の環境では詳細設定が引き継がれていた）
印刷のプリセットを設定したとしても、毎回プリセットを読み込むのが面倒です。
こちらについても、印刷設定の保持ができるように改善していただきたいです。1 vote -
Can't print gradients!
Running Illustrator 29.4 on a brand new Mac Studio Ms Ultra. I can no longer print ANY gradients (past or newly created) that I make in Illustrator and save as a pdf. I can view them on the screen, but they disappear when printed—the whole shape/object/type is just missing. Never had this issue in the decades that I have been using Illustrator. Printing to a Canon inkjet with most current driver installed. HELP ME, PLEASE.

Illustrator 2025（29.3）で、アートボードを印刷しようとすると「プリントに選択したページは全て空白です」 というエラーが出て印刷ができない。リンクオブジェクトにリンクを配置した際、リンク元となるデータが.aiのファイルで、かつそのリンク元のレイヤー内でリンクオブジェクト（確認したケースでは埋め込みリンク）のみが表示されており、その他のパスなどの要素が表示されていない場合にこの現象がおきた。

Printed image dimensions .5" larger than dimensions in Illustrator
Mac Sonoma
Illustrator 29.1I am printing a mechanical drawing. I have added multiple dimensions. My image is 20/25" x 45 " so I am tiling my printout. No matter which printer I use and which print settings, my printouts are always .5" larger than the dimensions in illustrator. I have tried adding overlaps, printing on borderless paper, removing overlaps, etc. Nothing fixes this problem

Assets I use for hundreds of documents in my CC library not printing correctly
Some files the library file is fine, but recently the certain asset is not printing correctly, it is pixelated and colors are wrong. How is this fixed without going through hundreds of print files to reinsert this asset into all of the files so it prints perfect? Its used at the same scale everytime. Has to be saved the same way every time bc of the printer demands. It's just not behaving the same way each document. In the pictures one printed correctly, and the other file did not.

OS 14.4.1 Printer Page Size Features Lost
I just updated to Mac OS 14.4.1 on a Mac mini (M1 2020) and now most of the paper size options in the Adobe printer dialogue box are gone. In any non-Adobe app, all 58 paper sizes are still available. In Adobe apps, there are only 14 paper size choices — all of the borderless choices are gone as well as some other, more obscure paper sizes. I've restarted, reloaded the printer driver and it's not made a difference. Looks like OS 14.4.1 messed up something that only affects Adobe products.

Erratic Page numbering in 'Show Print Tiling'
When printing a large artwork covering several A4s, the page numbering after selecting 'Show Print Tiling' is erratic. As you can see in the attached file, there's two times 25 and 27, but 21 and 26 are missing. This is an issue if you want to avoid printing blank pages. I have to manually count to get the correct page number.

All controls in Print dialog are disabled when printing a new file
When I create a new doc, the first time I want to print with a predefined print settings, nothing appears cheeked in the window. No previsualization too.
I must check "Finish" and reprint for having the normal window with all functionality.1 vote -
Outputted colours differing on same artwork.
Getting a problem where the outputted colour of a filled shape is darker than that of the same filled text box.
I'm producing artwork that will be sublimation printed onto fabric. I out the artwork as an .eps file, I then print the artwork onto fabric and the same colour values are now massively different and stand out like a sore thumb!
I've been producing artwork like this for the best part of 11 years now, and never had this issue!! Difficult to see the the attached photos.

[Bug] "Print As Bitmap" (unchecked) checkbox is not honored.
When I uncheck "Print as Bitmap", it is not honored at all, in any circumstance:
a) In the Summary, it gaslights me.
a) When I press Done and reopen, it's checked again.
c) When I print, the graphics come out jagged, which tells me it is being processed with Print as Bitmap.I'm on AI Version 27.2, just updated.
