Illustrator sometimes reports the font is not installed but then finds it on its own
Boa tarde, há uns dias abri um documento que dizia que o tipo de letra estava ausente e hoje ao abrir dizia que já tinha o tipo de letra utilizado naquele texto. Sendo que não instalei a fonte nem passei nenhuma ficheiro da mesma de um pc para o outro, podem dizer-me se isto é normal ou se há algum bug no vosso programa?

Unavailable fonts in Illustrator vs Acrobat Reader
When I open a document with a missing font, Illustrator keeps displaying the correct font. However, when I open the same document without any changes in Acrobat Reader, the font changes to the default font. Is this normal? Or do I have to worry about converting to curves first?

Bug: Typing a "+" to begin a point text object and then following it with a space will break the point text object.
Typing a "+" to begin a point text object and then following it with a space will break the point text object. I have replicated on a completely separate machine with a different user. This is a bad bug for people trying to put a telephone number with a country code into a layout.
System info:
• Illustrator 29.6
• MacBook Pro M4
• 48 GB RAM
• macOS Sequoia 15.5.
Steps to repeat:
1. Create a new point text object
2. Type in "+ 123456789" (plus followed by a space followed by 123456789)
Observed behaviour:

COLRv1 Fonts Rendering bugs
Rendering glitches for COLRv1 variable fonts. Glitches only show in Illustrator, but don't show up on the web or when exported (see screenshots)

Bug - Beta 29.6 180 Mac - Shift+R pops up window while typing.
This does not happens in the regular version of Illustrator.

Under MacOS Sonoma 14.7.2. Illustrator 29.5.1 Cannot change color of a single word on a text box.
Under MacOS Sonoma 14.7.2. Illustrator 29.5.1 Cannot change color of a single word on a text box. It adds a very very slim outline without a add an actual stroke. The word is suppossed to be Brown.

Campo de texto não exibindo sublinhando correção
Em alguns campos de texto, não exibe a correção para textos, esse problema acontece em alguns campos, quando cria um novo, ele volta a sublinhar o texto com erros ortográficos, isso atrapalha no processo de correção, você não consegue confiar na ferramenta de correção!

Do not scale text when you have a text style applied
When I have selected multiple blocks of text or lines of text, I would like the option to scale the bounds as if I were selecting only one field, without scaling the font size — especially when a font style is applied. Alternatively, it would be helpful to have an option within the font styles to lock scaling. I often work on menus and need to lock scaling when moving or resizing groups of items. I wouldn’t mind needing to manually update the font style if I choose to scale text after locking document scaling.

Text tool inserting wrong style
If I have text typed out, then I try to change one letter it changes my font. For example I have the would "hot" typed in acumin regular, then I go to change the word to "got" and it might make the "g" bold or condensed or just an different style that is on the document. I am not using paragraph styles or character styles.

Creative Cloud Fonts wont sync.
The fonts already installed via Creative Cloud show missing in Illustrator. It also keep removing the font from the font family stating font was unable to be installed due to an error. So every time I open Illustrator or simply start my system there a new font missing. CC sprouts an error regarding a font. Never had this issue before.

Type tools not showing in 29.3.1
The type tools not showing in 29.3.1, I get the 3d and Materials (insanely long) window instead.
The Paragraph panel does the same, as well as Glyphs.

Text converting to outlines when exporting and/or saving as SVG in Illustrator 2025
Text is getting converted to outlines when exporting and/or saving as SVG in Illustrator 2025, even though I am NOT selecting that option. This is bad for SEO and accessibility and needs to be fixed asap.

Bug - Variable Concept fonts do not show on screen or in output
Mac OS 15.3.2
Illustrator 28.4.5
Plugins: Esko DeskPack Essentials 24.07; extensis Connect Fonts 27.0.0Variable Concept fonts do not show. The text box is visible when I change to View Outlines. I can select the text lines and see the colour and font information; the text does not appear on screen or in output. Our only solution is to quit Illustrator and restart. This seems to fix the view issues, but we now have to quit/restart multiple times per day.

Font switches to default and back while navigating string with arrows
It's a bit hard to explain in words, so please watch the screencast I recorded. To put it simply: if a text block has a font other than the default (Myriad), and you want to navigate the text using the arrow keys, each time you click the button, the font in the panels changes to the default font and then back. The new letters have the correct font, although this does impact performance, especially for large texts.

Check Spelling Settings is missing in Preferences dialog. Auto correct showing wrong spellings.
