Illustrator freezing, crashing and lagging. Every time I use it!
I've been having this problem for at least a month or so, but recently it has gotten way worse! Every time I use Illustrator, no matter the file type/size/specs, it would freeze randomly. I cant press anything, I can't save. The only way out is the force quit. This was my "manageable" problem since the files usually were recovered. However, note it is getting way worse. It is freezing multiple times a session and even crashing now. It says it cannot save due to errors or just full on crashes mid save. I am also now even having launch problems!
The freezing is definitely what happens most often. But the crashing, freezing, inability to save, and now launch problems are inhibiting my everyday work.
I have never had a problem like this before until 2024, please help!!! I have a 2023 Macbook Pro with the M2 that is currently running Sonoma 14.3.1 and Illustrator 2024.
I don't have any weird or corrupt files to my knowledge, and this happens no matter how big or small the file I am working on. I am sick of the freezing, crashes and spinning wheel of death :(

Windows 10 22H2 / Illstrator 28.3で正常に起動しない

28.3にアップデートしたところ、正常に起動しなくなりました。アプリケーションが応答しません、となります。ひとつ前のバージョンでは正常に起動しておりました。
正常起動しなくなった後
a. ウイスル対策ソフト無効化
b. AIの環境設定ファイルの削除
c. AIのアンインストールおよび再インストールを試しましたが、状況は改善せず。
また、Windows 11 23H2環境では、28.3も正常に起動します。

Not Working: Select objects completely inside the marquee
Today’s 28.3 release (non-beta) touts the “Select objects completely inside the marquee” feature. Unfortunately, it’s not working here in macOS 14.3.1 (23D60).
Whether the E key is used or not, all objects are selected even in the case of an object not being fully enclosed in the selection area. And unfortunately, using the E key switches the current tool to the Free Transform tool, away from the Direct Selection tool which is counterproductive :(
1 voteEnclosed mode is the first mode in Ai to use a single tap of a button instead of holding one. 'E' key should be pressed once you start dragging the marquee, during drag operation.

I don’t see the 3 dots to enter advanced options when exporting to svg

Pie chart problem with small values
When I create a pie chart that contains small values along large ones, Illustrator will just delete the small ones.
These numbers are the original (and the smallest value just disappears):

1832If I change the two smallest values to 5 and 4 it will render these slices.

The issue is reported to not longer happen with build 28.3

can't change language from Spanish to english
I already tried changing the language in adobe creative cloud and reinstalling the app and it still does not work

Application Memory Spiking
MacBook Pro, Apple M2 Pro, 16GB, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71)
Illustrator V 28.3Product is crashing and RAM usage is sky-rocketing to 300GB+, have to wait for the system to recover before making further actions in program.
Periodically occurs when 3D objects are populating the artboard but unclear whether this is linked or not.1 vote -

Pattern fill pixelation
Zooming into an object filled with a pattern shows raster pixelation in the pattern. If you select the object and move it slightly or change its view, then the pattern is updated and looks vectored. This is annoying. I just want it to update and look clean when I am using the zoom tool.

Illustrator Freezes when trying to scroll fonts
When text is highlighted, and I go to change the font and use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down, the program freezes indefinitely.
No custom fonts installed.
2021 Macbook Pro M1 running Sonoma MacOs 14.3.1 (23D60). No other applications open.
I used the MacOs Screenshot App to record the bug in action. However - when recording my screen, the bug does NOT happen. I tested this multiple times. Talk about the observer effect...

Illustrator Crashes When Trying To View Using CPU or Pixel Preview (All Versions)
Been happening for quite some time now. When trying to view a pixel preview of my document it will hang then crash. Same exact thing happens if I try to "view using CPU". Also have been getting a weird "hairline" pink line around non-stroked objects.
Attached pictures of the pink outline around the gray in the one picture and another around the white and the gray. It seems to change as I zoom in and out which makes me think it's a rendering/driver bug. I think this issue and the original crashing when trying to select CPU or Pixel Preview are related somehow.
I have tried using latest version of Illustrator (28.2) and even going back to (27.0). Same things occurring.
General specs are AMD 7950X3D cpu, 7900XTX gpu, 32 GB DDR5 6000 ram, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 SSD, Windows 11 home latest update, amd gpu drivers latest as well. Rest of detailed specs are here. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/LWBcCJ

'Creative Cloud Files' folder shortcut keeps appearing in Finder side bar
I delete this shortcut every time it reappears, how can I stop it from reappearing? I thought Adobe deprecated the file sync? I have been seeing notifications about it going away in February 2024.
Anyways, it's annoying, i've never used CC file storage, it would be great to be able to completely remove it from the UI.

Depuis que j'ai fait la MÀJ de Ventura (macOS 13.x) vers Sonoma (14.x), le logiciel Illustration est terriblement lent, ça me fait perdre un temps fou! Mon document est simple et léger (102 ko). Lorsque je déplace mes éléments ou même que je fasse une recherche dans (Menu > Aide).

- Mémoire : 16 Go

Crashes daily, usually over night. Can't keep loaded for more than 24 hours.
Windows 11, 65gb ram, 2tb ssd, desktop. Version of Illustrator is latest, always do updates and owned a subscription for 5-6 years.
Why am I here? I can't figure out this help system, or generally no help at all. I usually never file bug reports because I don't expect any support for my money and have grown desperate with the daily crashes and losing edits.
I am sorry if my description is limited, as the crashes usually occur over night. The computer is never put to sleep and only the screen saver is running. I have no add-ons. My installation is about as plain vanilla as possible.
Moments ago, it crashed in the background while copying a image from Photoshop to Outlook. This is by far the must unstable version, ever.
Oh, BTW, here's another idea. Use my Adobe password and account for my access to help, WTF!

Line Graph Tool not supporting Indian language KANNADA

I am working for Indian language KANNADA new paper as Chief graphic Artist since 2007. Now I am using Illustator cc 28.2 version. Where if I import the Kannada content text will junking. And it is not supporting.Please help me use easily..

Lag on cursor and selections "sticking" to the cursor
There is a lag on all selections in Illustrator 28.2. When I select any item I literally have to wait 2-3 seconds before I can move my cursor, else the selection "sticks" to my cursor and moves with it until I click again to drop it and then I have to ⌘Z to send the selection back to it's intended location so I can make the changes I need to make. SUPER FRUSTRATING.
I have a new Macbook Pro with loads of RAM and never had this issue until the latest Illustrator update.
Thank goodness I have Affinity Designer installed, because when I get too frustrated with Illustrator (my favourite app since 1994) I have a backup.
Since Creative Cloud came into existence I've noticed more and more glitches in the Adobe software. Perhaps too many updates too soon, or not enough quality control or testing before sending updates out? At some stage the software will have to be rebuilt from the ground up like Affinity did, instead of building on old frameworks.

Nested Linked AI Files don’t display proper fonts
Nested or linked AI files inside other AI layouts are not letting the fonts come through. It renders to default font.

Older name is used in Share for Review
When sending for review, I have shared it with my alternate email, and it keeps pulling up my former name- this was changed on my account setting in google admin, as well as my contacts list. How can I find out where it is finding and autopoulating my old name?
