2. "Load paragraph styles" or "Load all styles" doesn't overwrite styles with same name

   I have a set of 9 template files that I need to update. Each file contains an identical set of about a dozen paragraph styles. I want to update all the paragraph styles in all of the files.
   I updated the styles in the first file (correctstyles.ai) and changed kerning from Auto to Optical. When I open the next file, (e.g. SHED-2023-5-simple-columns-narrow.ai), I use "Load Para Styles" and choose the first file (correctstyles.ai). When I check the style definitions, kerning is still set to Auto. The kerning value should have changed to Optical to match the style from the first file. That does not happen.
   I've also tried using "Load All Styles" and the result is the same. The styles that are loaded are not replacing the existing styles (all have the same names).
   Illustrator v. 27.9.1 on Win 10 Enterprise

3. Eyedropper DOES NOT CONSIDER COLOR EXCLUSION for TEXTS MULTICOLOR

   Eyedropper tool between two text boxes with mixed color letters. How to copy ONLY text attributes leaving the colors unchanged.
   Even by deselecting fill color and stroke color in the eyedropper detection and eyedropper application boxes, the color of the destination text becomes unique depending on which is pressed as the source and the letters do not remain colored differently.

5. テキストボックス内での強制改行

   Adobe Illustrator 28.1、OS13.6.3、OS11.7.10

   テキストボックスで均等配置（最終行左揃え）を使用。テキストにtabを挿入しsift + 改行 （強制改行）すると落ちます。
   別のmac（os11.7.100）でも検証しましたが落す。

6. Single line text temporarily breaks to two lines when being moved or adjusted

   This issue has been discussed in the Adobe Community forums, and other people have been able to replicate it.

   This is the current 28.1 version of Illustrator as of Dec. 21st 2023.

   If I have text that is close to the edge of the text box, and I try to make kerning between two characters tighter/smaller, Illustrator temporarily shows the text breaking into two lines, as if it won't fit on one, before readjusting to one line again. It's making it very difficult to fine-tune kerning, as I can't see the progress I'm making. The kerning information in the Character palette does reflect the changes being made.

   Steps taken: use keyboard keys to tighten kerning between two letters, when the text is close to the edges of its containing text box, also while moving said text box using keyboard arrow keys

   Expected result: Kerning visible tightens, text box moves as-is
   Actual result: The single line of text temporarily breaks into a two-line format while performing the action, then returns to single line

   I've also noticed this happens when the text box is selected and being moved via the arrow keys. A community expert has said it can happen clicking the font family in the character tools and other items that shouldn't affect them.

   Things that have not solved it:
   - Resetting preferences
   - Changing kerning from Auto to Optical, etc.
   - Changing Paragraph options from Adobe Single-Line Composer to Adobe Every-Line Composer, or vice versa (this can temporarily solve it for a few hours, then doesn't work again)

7. Make it possible again to move Text by its Anchor Point

   When Text is baseline shifted, it is no longer possible to move the Text Object by grabbing its Anchor Point, unfortunately.

   Please repair that.

8. Changing text case switches hyphenation on ( from off )

   Switching the text case from one case to another turns hyphenation on if it was previously set to off.

   I believe this is a new bug in v 27.9. ( today's date is Oct 5 ,2023 for the record )

   This is especially bad becuase users have been asking for hyphenation to be OFF by default. Asking for years and years. 5+ years I think.

9. Paragraph Styles: Where has Paragaph Direction for Middle Eastern Version gone? (AI ME 2024)

   1. Mac OSX Monterey 12.6.8 (21G725)
      Mac Pro (Late 2013)

   2. Illustrator 2024 Middle Eastern Version (27.9)

   3. Problem is on Paragraph Style:
      While under General on the left column I can see under "Indents and Spacing" that my Paragraph Direction is set to "Right to Left", I can't find this definition where is should be, on the left column under "Indents and Spacing". It is missing.

   4. Paragraph Direction should appear under "Indents and Spacing" on the Paragraph Style options.

10. Disparition du texte curviligne lors de l'enregistrement d'un PDF et lors de la réouverture du fichier Illustrator 27.8.1

    Microsoft Windows 11 (x64 bits), Illustrator 27.8.1

    Les textes curvilignes créés à partir de cercles et stockés dans une couche de texte disparaissent lors de l'export en pdf. Ils sont toujours présents dans l'arborescence des couches qui elles-mêmes sont en statut « visibles » mais les textes en question ne sont plus visibles dans la vue en plan.

    Le texte réapparaît lorsque l'on clique sur l'emplacement du texte curviligne pour l'éditer, le texte se rafraichit et réapparaît.

11. Inserting a dash followed by a space makes the dash uneditable

    When using the type tool, inserting a dash, spacebar, and then typing makes the dash undeletable. So type: - ohio with Myriad Pro Regular 12pt. the — is not able to be backspaced to remove, it is almost like it is adding a tab spacing. If you create outlines of text then you can select and remove, but text is uneditable at that point.

12. Text shifts when moving text frames which use Every-line Composer

    As per this thread at forums:

    Ai will recalculate justification each time a text frame with Every-line Paragraph Composer is nudged, either with arrow keys or dragging.

    Although it’s clearly just moving, and should not trigger recalculation, Ai does it (I can think only of one case when it should happen — when objects with Text Wrap enabled are present and intersecting the the moved object — and they aren’t and don’t).

    The text wobbles a bit and it's slow, to recalculate this every time.
    Why does it happen? InDesign does not do this.

13. Type on path tool bug

    After reopening an Illustrator document containing multiple circle paths with type on them the text is no longer on their paths but rather scattered all over and beyond the artboard. Please see the attachments.

    When you try to fix the scattered texts by clicking on the path with the type to path tool it will indicate the text was created in a different version of Illustrator (which is not the case) prompting you to click ok. This will have the text look as it should again. However if you then save and re-open the file the texts will be scattered again. So this clearly is not a solution to fix it temporarily.

    Pulling a previous version from our backup doesn't help either. The document will look good initially but even scrolling up or down in Illustrator will cause the scatter to appear (reopening it without saving will do the same).

    The opening poster experiences the same problem in a file containing multiple circle paths with type on them. So that seems to be a common ground.

    Our file has 20+ paths with text on them.

14. Type on path not converting to outline

    Operating System: OS X Ventura 13.4.1 (c) (22F770820d)
    Version of Illustrator: 27.7

    I have an artwork which includes some type on a path (circle). When I go to send the file to a printer (PDF), I always outline the text as we've had issues in the past. For this artwork I've selected all the content and selected 'Convert to Outline', which has worked fine on all the type except the type on a path elements which just disappeared. I restarted Illustrator, but this didn't solve the problem.

    The Type on a Path was part of a group, so I then drilled down to an element level and tried each part in turn. It was a bit random, one part would outline, while othesr just disappeared again. The font being used was Knockout by Hoefler&Co.

    After a few attempts I managed to get some parts to outline while others continued to disappear so I had to make up a new group using those paths that did outline properly.

    I've never experienced this bug before, so perhaps it's something new?

15. テキストコピー&ペースト時に、書式がコピーされない

    M1 Mac mini
    macOS Ventura（ver13.4.1）
    Adobe Illustrator 2023（27.7）

    書式ありのテキストをコピー・ペーストすると、
    その書式が継承されない。
    今日までは特に問題なかったが、今気づいた次第です。
    同様の現象を解消された方がいらっしゃったら、
    解決方法を教えていただければ幸いです。

    ちなみに、
    １）環境設定＞クリップボードの処理にある、
    　　『ペースト時：書式なしでテキストをペースト』の
    　　チェックボックスは、チェックを入れていない。
    ２）環境設定リセットを行うも変化なし
    ３）Mac本体再起動しても変化なし
    ４）Illustrator字体再起動しても変化なし

16. Automatic numbering does not continue in linked area type

    While using automatic numbering, an area text linked to another Artboard or within the Artboard restarts the numbering from 1 after moving the overflown text to the second linked type area. Please add option to choose restart the numbering or continue numbering with user preference. Another issue is that one point with continuing the lines to the next type area also starts with numbering rather than considering the continuation of the last line from first type area.

17. Automatic hyphenation with + instead of -

    Sometimes (not always), the automatic hyphenation divides the word with an "+" sign, instead of a "-" sign, which it should be. It appears with various fonts, it is NEVER reliable, sometimes I write a PDF for the customer, it has the + inside, I see it, I open the AI again and everything if fine again, without restarting anything or changing anything. Sometimes it gets not written correctly for weeks and I have to hyphenate myself, which we all know, is a drag in Illustrator.

    Where is the Problem located, and how do we fix it.

19. CC 2022 v.26.5.3以前で合成フォントを使用したAIファイルがCC 2023 v27.5で開きません

    アプリのバージョン: Illustrator CC 2023 ver.27.5

    問題が発生したときに実行していた手順:
    Illustrator CC 2022 ver.26.5.3以前に合成フォントを使用して保存したAIファイルをIllustrator CC 2023 v27.5で開こうとしました。

    想定していた結果:
    過去に合成フォントを使用して保存したAIファイルが最新の環境でも問題なく開く状態

    実際の結果:
    ウィンドウのタイトルバーに「応答なし」と表示され、アプリケーションがフリーズするため、AIファイルを開くことができません。
    Adobe Illustrator 26 Settingsフォルダから27 Settingsフォルダへ合成フォントを移植しましたが、改善しませんでした。

20. Illustrator 2023 - 27.5 Arabic Right to left alignment issue

    Hi, I am using illustrate 2023 [27.5] / MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 - Mac mini M2 Pro. Here we are facing an issue in Arabic text alignment. As per your help, when we paste Arabic, it detects automatically the language and when we select the language alignment and orientation would change according to the language. But here, even if we select the above steps the orientation remains exactly like English. Older versions we had a manual text orientation [Right/ Left] tool on the bottom side of Paragraph settings box, now only "Hyphenate" is available. Attached screenshot of the same. In the screenshot you can see I have selected Adobe Arabic-regular and GE Dinky-regular font. I have set my language "Arabic" & using "Middle-Eastern & South-Asian Single-line composer.
