Cannot change the blending mode when the gradient tool is selected (windows 10, ai 23.0.1)
Is this a bug or a feature? If this is a feature then it is very uncomfortable.
In version 22 it was possible to change the blending mode with the gradient tool selected.2 votes -
Illustrator WILL NOT display art OR artboards.
How about making Illustrator useable for starters?
I pay enough for this service. I have done a full update and restart of my computer, all of my adobe products are up to date, AND I've uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator.
This is what I get when I open a new document. Show artboards is on. NOTHING comes up despite using ALL of the fixes I can find in your boards.I expect a service I drop $700 a year on to actually WORK Adobe.

MBP 2018 - GPU render, performance extremely slow
macOS Mojave 10.14.2, Illustrator 23.0.1
Performance on MBP 2018 (32GB) is extremely low, even on simple compositions. Working with graphic with active effect 'Drop Shadow' is almost impossible. I have feeling like working od PC from 2008. In outline mode works much better.
On PC (i7 8700, gtx 1060) the same composition works like a charm.

Missing panels - restarting Illustrator brings them back
On more than one Mac we have an issue in Illustrator 23.0.1 where some of the panels disappear and we can't get them back without quitting Illustrator and reloading it. Resetting the workspace doesn't work and neither does choosing one of the missing panels from the Windows menu.
I did also have this on InDesign CC2018 but that has since been fixed in 2019.

.AI an d XD files not opened by default on Windows 10
Ashutosh Chaturvedi, sorry but one of your issues is not totally fixed, you have many users who are waiting for an answer for the .ai an wd files wich are supposed to by opened by default by thèse two softwares by double-clicking. This issue is not fixed on Windows 10. Thank you for your time and you answer ASAP.

Before you do that are you manually able to change file association of .ai file to another application say Notepad.exe ? There is another issue with file association going around. intro page won't disappear
Opening Illustrator 2019, I see the intro page with my recent work. I click to open it, and it seems to "think" the document is open - I can see my un-embedded layers panel full - but the intro page won't disappear. I can't close it, the arrow next to the AI icon won't collapse it, and I can't work without quitting the app and trying to reopen again. Does the same thing whether I open from the Finder or from the Intro page. MacPro 2012 (5,1) upgraded CPU and GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 - flashed). I realize it's…

Illustrator refuses to become default program when opening .svg files
Illustrator refuses to become default program when opening .svg files. I've tried "Open with another program" in the "Open with" context menu option. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried installing 2017. I've tried regedit. It just won't take.

Adjustments in gradient slider not applying to grouped objects
When adjusting the gradient slider for a group of objects, only some of the objects are affected by the slider. The rest of the objects don't change. Applies to both linear and radial gradients, but problem more frequent for radial.
(In screenshot, the lower-right corner shows how some of the objects follow the gradient slider adjustment, but the rest of the objects in the group don't change. Delay when opening/placing/looking for files.
illustrator and indesign and photoshop all had little or no delay when 'exiting' the software to find/open/place/import a file. Now there's significant seconds added whenever I do anything, even selecting fonts causes seconds of delay when they used to show up instantaneously. just started Monday with Mojave 10.14.1 update

Move tool also pans the view
When ever I move an object the view also moves, it is very disconcerting. Never experienced this before using lower versions.

Can't change the font in Glyphs

Uninstalling old version breaks windows preview handler for new version.
When uninstalling an older version of illustrator, the windows preview handler for AI files gets removed such that it no longer functions for newer versions of illustrator that are already installed. The only resolution is to uninstall the newer version and reinstall which can be a pain, or manually modify the registry entries to assign the PDF handler to AI files.

Rendered text doesn't match its edges or its true state visible in Outline mode
Text content differs from edges and "path preview" (Cmd Y) to print preview (or GPU).
In my example, the word "Optipro" appears at the GPU Preview and disappears when I use the Cmd Y preview.2 votesI could not understand much looking at the screenshots.

Selection tool moves objects in steps when using mouse
In CC2018 I could move my objects either in steps (arrows), big steps (Shift+arrows) or with precision using the mouse.
Now in CC2019 if I move something with the mouse it emulates the arrow keys movement, I'm talking about Twitch Badges (72x72 px) so It's a heavy issue for me, when working on big documents like 1080p this problem is barely noticeable2 votesMost probably you have View > Snap to Grid option checked, or Snap to Pixel.

Freeform gradients color stops were altered after crash
Running Mac OS High Sierra and Illustrator CC2019.
While editing one shape with a freeform gradient, Illustrator crashed. Document had been saved prior to the edits. When opening the recovered file, all objects using that freeform gradient had all their color stops altered. Instead of dark brown, med brown and yellow, color stops were changed to use Registration, an unnamed brown and an unnamed pale color. None of those colors matched what had been used prior to the crash. Had to manually go back and redo the freeform gradient.

Mad Color (Colour)
Colours are altered opening older files. The colour (color) settings are completely wrong—the idropper doesn't select properly. I tried to do a screen grab to get a sample from it but all the colours fade. The screen grab brought into illustrator then screen grabbed again fades all the colours again!!!! This doesn't happen if I screen grab anywhere else.

Saving an EPS file hangs Illustrator
When I save a file to EPS, Illustrator either takes forever to save it or hangs and I have to kill it and restart. Saving to an AI file isn't a problem.

Pathfinder Actions not properly saving in Illustrator CC 2019
Every time after I close and open Illustrator I have to edit my actions all over again. I've set all Pathfinder options to expand when being performed. They work while I'm in the session, when I open the software the next day I have to re-set them to do the same, otherwise they all act as if they're Unite and don't even perform the proper action. I've moved them out of the default folder and into a custom folder - still keep doing that. Slows down work a lot.

Illustrator freezes with creating new document
A few times when I opened the new Illustrator 2019 on Mac, Mojave, it freezes and is still buggy after the latest update. When I open Illustrator after quitting the application, or even the first time after restart, it literally gets stuck on either the home screen, but also when I choose "new file" from the home screen's quick create section. A new file will open, but I can't do anything. The Interface freezes and I have to "force quit" Illustrator.
