There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object
MAC OS High Sierra Version 10.13.6
Processor 3.2Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory 8GB

When trying to work on an image, my colleague is constantly getting the above message and the application hangs.

Bounding Box, Resizing typography, moving typography all defective
Here are a list of current issues I'm experiencing in Illustrator:
– Bounding box keeps disappearing and reappearing. I'm aware of the different methods of getting it back, they don't
– Moved elements disappear from view, with a bounding box appearing in the area you moved it from but with nothing in it
– Editing typography doesn't always work, I.E. I resize one block of typography, but for some reason, it adjusts a previously selected block; this is happening when adjusting tracking or size
– Editing typography also sometimes has no effect on the typography. Changing the size or tracking…1 vote -
Al CC crashing constantly
I have a brand new Surface Pro 6 with 8Gb of RAM and AI CC is the only program I have put on it, yet the program crashes every time I start using the brush tools. How do I fix this? This new laptop was purchased specifically for me go use AI on and so far I an unable to do so.

Annoying opening screen
I reinstalled the system. I removed and reinstalled Adobe Illustrator. No solution. I don't understand why the problem is caused.

resizing window
When creating a new document the widow goes full screen, when I try to resize using the bottom right corner to resize window, it automatically grows larger than the screen size and can't grab the corner....then when I do get the corner back on the screen trying to resize just doesn't work well, its very slow and largish and half the time it won't resize it jumps back to full or only partially resizes....never did this before and its a pain i spend 10 min trying to get the window like I want it to be nearly every time I…

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please try changing the UI scaling option under preferences—>UI interface—>UI Scaling —> small. Please revert back if this doesn’t work.

2018 Illustrator CC is crazy slow / extreme lag on fast touchbar mac
AI is extraordinarily slow to do anytlhing, even select tools, or draw or duplicate objects. I have a very fast computer:
2016 MBP 2.9ghz intel core i7
16gb ram
radeon pro 460
running OS 10.13.6
I have 60gbb free of space on my SSD.I haven't worked in AI for several years, but I'm deeply familiar with PS, and I'm following a tutorial on how to draw a geometric shape. So thats what I'm doing in the project. Very simple stuff.

Suddendly I can't drag anything at all! Only after restarting windows!
This bug is killing me, suddendly when working with several files open I can't drag anything and I hear the windows sound every time I try to. Reseting *********** doesn't solve anything at all, only after restarting windows which forces me to close all my apps and work LOL.

Key object selection mismatch
When I select two objects and choose the key object for allignment, the top allignment option shows the «Align to key object» and object gets highlighted, however if I go to the sidebar to introduce a spacing number it shows «Align to selection» instead and I need to change the option again. This is so frustrating.

Scale tool bug with Shift+Alt
window 10 / cc2019 (been seeing this issue in 2018 and 2017 too)

press shift+Alt
click anywhere on the workareaThis sends illustrator nuts: the scaling cursor doesn't stick to the place you click, nor it goes away. No other tool is selectable, no action can be taken. After minutes (actual minutes) the scaling tool popup window appears, then you can close it and go on woth the work.
I know this tool is not supposet to do anything with shift+alt+click but often i keep those keys by mistake. This would be easily solved with an exception…

Working really slow
I am working on AMD Threadripper 1950x with 16cores and 32gb DDR4 ram...
Illustrator still working really slow and laggy.
When I make a multiple select some objects and deselecting, its stuck on that process. Sometimes, filling all objects with single colors after deselecting. really terrible... Even I close GPU accelerator it doesn't help9 votesHi,

23.0.1 Windows 10. Slow, Black Screens, and continually crashes
23.0.1 is proving unusable on my system. Continual black screens, pauses, and crashes. I cannot get any work done.
Win10 Pro 1803 16GB. 64bit. + Nvidia GeForce 210.

Command-s save reverts back a few steps
Sometimes saving the document (command-s) causes it to revert a few steps back. WHAT? What is going on with all this weirdness!

Why is this program so slow? I have a fairly robust iMac, working in vectors... trying to layout a simple menu board and the program is jittery and laggy. I have two programs open at the moment: AI and Photoshop

Memory Leak
Even with nothing open, the memory used for Illustrator keeps climbing exponentially until I get a dialog box up from the operating system telling me that my system is out of memory and to force quit software. It will say Illustrator is using 300 GB of RAM (even though I only have 40GB)

Unoperational
I'm trying to use Illustrator CC and nothing in the program is responding, everything is greyed out. There is no indication from the program that anything is wrong with it. I have downloaded the latest update and this is the first time I have had such an issue with the program.

slow choppy zoom on PC
whether I use the zoom tool or key combo/scroll, zoom in or out takes between about a full second to multiple seconds. makes it very hard to control. this seems to happen regardless of the document complexity. Photoshop and XD zoom well.
this PC got a fresh Windows 10 install a month ago, then Illustrator was installed for the first time. this has been an issue since then.
I've tried GPU Performance preference on and off.
I've uninstalled, cleaned, re-installed Illustrator a few times since then.

MBP 2018 - GPU render, performance extremely slow
macOS Mojave 10.14.2, Illustrator 23.0.1
Performance on MBP 2018 (32GB) is extremely low, even on simple compositions. Working with graphic with active effect 'Drop Shadow' is almost impossible. I have feeling like working od PC from 2008. In outline mode works much better.
On PC (i7 8700, gtx 1060) the same composition works like a charm.
