1. AMD and new CPUS/GPUS realy bad with Overprint ON in Illustrator

   New CPUS/GPUS realy bad performance with illustrator.

   Hello Adobe, i recently bought new computers for our company becouse people were complaining about Illustrator beeing slow.

   These are the new computers:
   -AMD 3900x + RTX 2080 + 64GB 3600Mhz ram + win10 1903
   -AMD 3700x + 5700XT + 32GB 3200Mhz ram + win10 1903

   After trying out Illustrator on these systems i thought to myself.......why do we even use Illustrator?

   How come a 3000 euro computer runs slow with overprint ON with simple squares drawn on the art board???

   I want Adobe to explain to me why a I7 6700 with a GTX960 and 16GB ram runs the same project, smoother than a 3000 euro state of the art computer????

   If i put the resolution of these PC.s to FHD, the program runs normaly, not faster, not slower, just plain normal.
   If i put the native resolution of the monitor wich is 1440p, Illustrator is simply a chunk of **** software unable to use that kind of native resolution without breaking itself apart, it is simply unusable in 2k.
   So.....solution, putting everything in 1080p.

   Great, so there is no real reason for people to buy high end computers to run the software fast, when in fact your software only uses 1 or 2 cores and 2 or 3 GB of ram and doesnt use the hardware available to do the work it is supose to do!!!

   We are in 2019!!!! The year 2004 was 15 year ago!!!!!

   I have 31 computers working with AI and the oldest computers are the ones who work best....this is just plain ridiculous and a total embarrassment for a company like Adobe to let this software run like this.

   Illustrator is a PRODUCTION SOFTWARE!!!!! We, at our company and tones of other people pay thousands of euros every year to be able to produce with Illustrator and the software is simply not able to keep up with todays demands for performance and productivity along with every version that comes out getting worse and worse and worse.

   PLEASE ADOBE adress the performance issues!!!!!!
   We do not need fancy features if the BASICS dont work at ALL!!
   We need AI to use the hardware it is given!!! so the better the hardware the better the software runs....this is simple!!!

   PLEASE work on the performance issues with AMD CPU.s(wich are a lot better now than intel) work on the performance issues with AMD cards(wich in mid range are BETTER than nvideas)

   You guys need to address everything related to performance with Illustrator.
   The program is starting to become trash and people are quiting Adobe becouse of this.

   PLEASE, address this issue.

2. Separations preview imac 5k very slow

   There is some problem with Overprint preview turned on, everything becomes verry laggy. I'm on iMac 2019 27" with 40gb of RAM, SSD drive, no plugins. No matter which document is opened, the problem is same - very slow illustrator movement.

   Only sollution is to run Illustrator in Low Resolution mode, then the problem does not exist.

3. Crashing when scaling objects and file disappears after saving

   Program often crashes when I'm scaling large objects. Also, I saved a file that I had been working on for more than a week and closed the application like I usually do but when I reopened it? File gone. Erased. Can't even find an earlier version of it. Then I got a bunch of note and word docs titled "debug" full of HTML gibberish I couldn't understand. Couldn't recover or find file in deleted cloud files or recycling bin on desktop.

4. Recent file history missing on app launch

   Since updating to the latest version, on starting Illustrator I just get the "start a new file fast" section but no recent file history icons.

   Once I've opened and then closed a file the app returns to the home screen and then my recent history is showing but the Start A New File Fast bit has gone.

   Once I close illustrator down and re-open it the history disappears again :(

   Using Illustrator v24 via a Creative Cloud Suite account on Windows 10. I've tried uninstalling, rebooting and re-installing. No change.

5. Unknown Error [PARM]

   I was starting work and clicked on Adobe Illustrator for the first time today, it immediately gave me this error and I hadn't even opened a document as yet.

   This is the first time this error has appeared for me and I do not know why.

   I closed the program and restarted it, the error didn't reoccur.

   I have a pretty new powerful PC (within a year old).

   I have attached my PC specs for reference and all programs are up to date.

6. File opens with one color value & the values change when placed in a new document

   Hi There, I am working in the latest release of AI on a MacBook Pro OS 10.15.4 (Catalina) and I am reporting a bug I've encountered.

   To preface, I don't know the age of the original logo file. The artwork is a PMS chip value, saved in an RGB document.

   To get the RGB value of the logo I opened the file and inspect the color. Since it was a PMS, I go to the RGB view either in the color panel or the selector in the tool bar & I see a specific value. (0/53/98) when I paste the artwork into a brand new file the RGB value changes to (0/55/100).

   In the 20 years I've been working I've never seen a color mix change from one document to another other when both are set as RGB. The same artwork is being used in each document.

7. Effects Preview Checkbox Has No Effect After First Check

   Version 24.0 (64-bit)

   When applying an effect to a path in Illustrator, checking the "Preview" checkbox will preview that effect, but unchecking the box does not return the path back to its original shape. To test:

   Use the pen tool to draw a multi-segment shape.
   Select the shape
   Click Effect->Distort & Transform->Roughen
   Click the Preview checkbox (the effect should be applied)
   Click the Preview checkbox again (the effect will not be removed)

   I've tested this with most of the previewable effects in the Effects menu and they all behave the same.

8. Icon enlarge for no reason

   This has been a little bit of a problem. I have latest version of Adobe Illustrator version 24.1.2 running macOS Catalina 10.15.4. It a little annoying and I thought the next update would have solve the issue but it did not. Here is a bug that is strange. Thanks!

9. Layer access arrows missing

   the arrows that you click on to access the layers are gone. there is no clickable link, or visible arrow anymore.

   I have restarted both program and computer, then uninstalled and reinstalled. It is still not working.

10. alt drag art boards not working STILL

    this is still not working. Now and again it does, then it doesn't again. It doesnt' copy the art board.
    I can't see how to even check on my previous but reports, or find other ones I've voted for, I don't understand this process. Please will you fix it?

12. White selection tool: getting an error message that the entire item must be selected.

    When I use the white selection tool, to grab an edge of shape to nudge it, I'm getting an error message that the entire item along a path must be selected.

13. Artboard Missing

    When I open the saved file, I find my artboards missing. The weird part is it saves my work. So every time I open the file I have to create new artboards for the layout I had done.
    Attached Adobe Files consists of 2 layouts:
    Page 1: Original Layout
    Page 2: When I re-open the file. I find all the artboards missing except for a default artboard.

    Very frustrating to recreate the artboards every time.

14. Preference settings for Type have changed

    Previous versions of Illustrator allowed me to set my preferences for type to this:

    Size/Leading = 0.5pts
    Baseline shift = 0.5pts

    But in Illustrator cc 2020 v24.2.2 it is no longer possible to do that. This is what I am getting:

    Size/Leading = 1pt
    Baseline shift = 1pt

    It seems like 1pt is now the lowest you can go.
    Please help.

    new update (24.2.3) brings back Thai language problem when creating outline

    Thai font deleted or missing when create outline.
    Most of the time it happens to few or last fonts of the line.

    NOTE: weird thing is when newly launch the app and open CC2020 file first, Create Outline works fine. But once I open another file which is legacy file eg. CS6, this issue suddenly happens. After that if I continue working on CC2020 file, this issue also happens on CC2020 file.
    The problem will reset once I quit the app and relaunch. And happen again if I open legacy file.

16. Cannot copy and Paste text from illustrator to mail or other programs

    In the previous versions of Illustrator I could copy and paste text into other programs. Since I have updated to version 24.2.3 all attempts to paste text elsewhere result in an un-editable pdf. I found some ridiculous work arounds online, but it's serious affecting my work flow. I'm running Mohave 10.14.6. Tried monkeying with the clipboard settings to no avail.

17. Copy text on path with option held crashes Illustrator.

    I am creating type on a path. When I copy the text with option and drag it to paste, Illustrator consistently crashes without any recovery options.

18. Pressing Ctrl + Win sends the active object backward

    If you have at least 2 objects on the artboard and the top one is selected, pressing Control + the Windows key on Windows 10 sends the active object backward one step. It's a keyboard shortcut that doesn't appear to be editable in Keyboard Shortcuts in case it interferes with that shortcut being used for something else.

19. Properties panel broken since last update

    Since the last update the Properties panel is broken. Even if there is enough room for all information in the panel, it shows up cropped, with a scrollbar on the side. I have to drag the panel out of it’s window and then back again to fix this, every time I start Illustrator.

20. Custom Brush doesn’t get affected by color

    I am not able to change the color for my custom brushes. Whenever I select a new color for the brush, the brush still paints black. I have opened and closed the program several times but nothing has worked. I have deleted and made new brushes, but I am still having the same problem.

    This happens if the colorization method for a brush is chosen to be just None.

    Changing it to be Tints or any other form the dropdown in the brush’s options solves the problem.
