1. Illustrator exports SVG with font set to ArialMT

   When we export artwork from Illustrator with text formatted with the Arial font, the SVG code has the font set to ArialMT (the old Postscript name). This generally isn't a problem unless the image is displayed on a system that does not have the ArialMT font installed.

   Short of changing the SVG code, is there anyway of preventing Illustrator from using the old Postscript name for the Arial font.

   It seems to be same with artwork created on MacOS and Windows.

   Inkscape does not have this problem.

2. Disparition du texte curviligne lors de l'enregistrement d'un PDF et lors de la réouverture du fichier Illustrator 27.8.1

   Microsoft Windows 11 (x64 bits), Illustrator 27.8.1

   Les textes curvilignes créés à partir de cercles et stockés dans une couche de texte disparaissent lors de l'export en pdf. Ils sont toujours présents dans l'arborescence des couches qui elles-mêmes sont en statut « visibles » mais les textes en question ne sont plus visibles dans la vue en plan.

   Le texte réapparaît lorsque l'on clique sur l'emplacement du texte curviligne pour l'éditer, le texte se rafraichit et réapparaît.

3. Export for Screens does not remember color model format settings for JPG 100, JPG 80, etc.

   When Illustrator is closed, it forgets the color model that was chosen for exporting JPEGs with Export for Screens.

   For reference of how this setting is accessed:
   File > Export > Export for Screens
   Then in the Formats area, click the gear icon.
   In the column, select any of the JPG formats (JPG 100, JPG 80, et cetera).
   Then there is a drop-down labeled "Color Model" that allows you to choose between CMYK, RGB, and grayscale.

   If you select RGB then click "Save Settings" it will remember the setting while Illustrator is open. But when you close Illustrator, and open it again, the setting will be reverted to CMYK when you are working in a CMYK document.

   This is rather annoying for me because I work in the exhibit design field and graphic layout are intended for print (CMYK) but often need to be visualized in 3D models which require RGB images. So exporting to RGB is essential and having to change the setting frequently adds more hassle to the process.

4. Hyphenation ignores pre-hyphenated words

   Many languages have pre-hyphenated words (like 'pre-hyphenated').

   When I setup Hyphenation with Before and After values, I expect Illustrator to apply these to each part of a hyphenated word, not to the whole complex word itself, like Ai does in the picture (where the arrow is pointing). Instead, it should prefer the existing hyphen to break a line at, not just one symbol away from it. This forces users to use 'no break' often (which is hard to call) and generally spend more time on editing.

   Here is a text example.
   Not
   pre-h
   yphenated
   but
   pre-
   hyphenated

   ...and obviously it can’t be fixed with a discretionary hyphen. First — it does not force Ai to redo the flow, and the hyphen should be there all the time, and not only on breaks...

   I checked if InDesign behaves the same — and it does.

5. Exporting layered PSDs = Error 2393

   Illustrator 27.8.1 64-bit
   OS: Windows 10

   Exporting AI to layered PSD fails, regardless of DPI or whether artboard exporting is enabled. Flattened PSD export still works. This process ultimately locks up and completely crashes Illustrator.

   Steps: File -> Export -> Export as...

   Attempting the process with a third party export script also locks up Illustrator.

6. コピーできてない

   win11　最新CCを使用

   切り取り（ctl+X）をペースト(ctl+v)しているが
   切り取りしたもの自体がなくなります（クリップボードに取れていない？）
   貼り付けがスカされます。

   切り取りしているので、コピーし忘れではない。
   このデータがおかしいのか、アップデートのせいなのか
   PCがおかしいのか不明

   改善お願いします。

7. Highlighting text leads to disappearing artboards

   This tends to only happen when I have minimized the screen to be half of my desktop size. Whenever I highlight text in Illustrator the artboard disappears and it only comes back when I've selected the selection tool and click in the work space.

8. Application Memory Spiking

   MacBook Pro, Apple M2 Pro, 16GB, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71)
   Illustrator V 28.3

   Product is crashing and RAM usage is sky-rocketing to 300GB+, have to wait for the system to recover before making further actions in program.
   Periodically occurs when 3D objects are populating the artboard but unclear whether this is linked or not.

9. Stroke Inside is unchangeable on a compound shape

   If you make a compound shape from two paths with strokes set to Inside, then this is retained for the compound shape and shown in the Appearance panel, but it's not reflected in the Stroke panel and it can't be changed there.

12. Toolbar menus display only two rows at a time

    I'm using Illustrator 28.0 on Windows 11 Professional, Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. Since the latest update, the toolbar menus show only two rows with the option to scroll up/down to see the other items (two at a time), which is very inconvenient. I've closed and restarted Illustrator, but no change to the interface.

    If you try to outline stroke in a live paint group, Illustrator throws an error (The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [PARM])

14. Window keeps resizing

    The window keeps resizing. I use Spectacle (a simple window resize tool that works with every other program). It's very handy to have shortcuts to move windows around like PCs do, but Mac doesn't support by default.

    Now when I do certain actions, the window shrinks back down to less than full size. It's very annoying and never used to happen. Please fix!

15. Text is uneditable.

    I have large text files in my illustrator artboards and when I try to edit the copy, it only allows me to select a singular letter rather than being able to simply click the text and edit it.

    2 表示されたダイアログから「Creative Cloudへ保存」を選択

19. Illustrator Crashes When Trying To View Using CPU or Pixel Preview (All Versions)

    Been happening for quite some time now. When trying to view a pixel preview of my document it will hang then crash. Same exact thing happens if I try to "view using CPU". Also have been getting a weird "hairline" pink line around non-stroked objects.

    Attached pictures of the pink outline around the gray in the one picture and another around the white and the gray. It seems to change as I zoom in and out which makes me think it's a rendering/driver bug. I think this issue and the original crashing when trying to select CPU or Pixel Preview are related somehow.

    I have tried using latest version of Illustrator (28.2) and even going back to (27.0). Same things occurring.

    General specs are AMD 7950X3D cpu, 7900XTX gpu, 32 GB DDR5 6000 ram, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 SSD, Windows 11 home latest update, amd gpu drivers latest as well. Rest of detailed specs are here. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/LWBcCJ

20. 3D Crashing

    I have used 3D materials on my ASUS TUF Dash FTS for over a year with no prior issues. Last night, upon updating to version 28.1, every time I even click on the 3D materials menu within the window tab, it immediately stops responding and crashes. I have Uninstalled, reinstalled, reset preferences, cleaned up creative cloud, deleted almost everything on my computer and freed up an additional 100 GB of space (I have 600GB of space total), I have gotten rid of every plugin. I am just at a complete loss because I can now not complete assignments because even when I restart the program it crashes and doesn't even offer recovery. Please help me.. ** Update: I think I found the issue possibly. I was able to turn on CPU mode and go into the 3D materials, an d I know I had downloaded materials, but now they are not loading and there is no way to remove them. Does anyone know how to find the file these are in within OS and delete them?
