All tools and actions are slow and lagging, random selection in Ilustrator 2020
All tools lagging. cursor selects items randomly and drags them around when non having been selected. Illustrator 2020 CC installed

Average Path Behavior changed in Illustrator 2020
It's pretty simple. Press the key command for Path/Average. The dialog pops up. Options are Both, Horizontal, or Vertical. The way it used to work was that you could press the cursor key on your keyboard for up, just once and it would land on vertical. Press again for Horizontal. But in 2020, it's different. Press "up" arrow once for Vertical. Press again and it remains on Vertical. Cancel the whole window and start over. Now, instead of pressing the up arrow, press the down arrow once, and it lands on Horizontal. Press again and it stays on Horizontal. So…

new version, will hang for no reason....

Cannot press TAB to select font weight in Properties
On the Properties panel, pressing the TAB key when you are in the fonts dropdown jumps directly to the font size, NOT the font weight as it should.
In the Character panel the behaviour is correct.

Illustrator 2020 Character Styles Not in English
For some reason in the "Character Styles" window, it says [Estilo de caractere normal] instead of [Normal character style] My language is set to English. I think this is a glitch?

After latest update, Illustrator opens and is half off-screen. It is frozen there and can't be moved or resized, and menus are often missing
It would be great if the program would open and actually be usable. With half of the program off-screen, and being unable to move or resize it, I can't get my work done.

Gradient issues: annotator jumps and changes direction on object hover
2 problems in CC2020 on Mac OSX 10.15.1:
1. Gradient annotator doesn't show on expanded shapes

First click is lost when focusing the window
Windows, when Illustrator isn't focused, clicking inside the window, the click is lost, another click is needed to perform the intended action. Annoying, because the second click is treated as double click.
To reproduce:
Open Illustrator and move the window to the left. Open another program, for example a text editor. Clicking in the illustrator window over a text (with the intent of copying the text causes just focusing the window, the text itself isn't selected. Only the second click selects the text.2 votes -
Spot Colors are not recognised.

Fix Adobe Illustrator CC 2020 Type Library Reference - VB scripts return error
We need to always keep the version of Adobe Illustrator CC up to date.
Recently, the CC version used by the company has been upgraded from 2019 to 2020.We use the attached .NET Illustrator library module.
As with other similar cases, I believe Adobe will solve it.
Older versions work fine.

Some files are gray in MacOS 10.15.1 open/place dialogs
When accessing the open/place dialog on MacOS 10.15.1, some file names are gray while others are the normal black. They are still selectable, but gray. It looks like you can't select them, though. Disconcerting.

Pen tool shortcuts not working. Pen tool always wants to start a new path (with asterisk next to it)
Mac OS 10.14.6
Illustrator 23.1.1
When selecting the pen tool it used to change to the add point tool when I hovered over the selected path, and if I hovered over an existing selected point, it would change to minus point tool. Holding down option would allow you to move the handles on a point. None of these shortcuts work any more. I can't continue an existing path either, the pen tool always wants to start a new path (with a little asterisk next to it).

Using brush tool either freezes AI or stops displaying on canvas but is updating in layers
Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.0.0
My system: Windows 10When using the brush tool after a few minutes it either freezes AI or it will stop working on the canvas.
So I can still use the mouse or tablet to move the cursor but nothing is transpiring on the canvas. However, in the layer section it is updating each stroke.It is doing it every time I start a new project.

Applescript "open without dialogs" no longer works
I have an Applescript that has the statement
open (thePDFName as alias) without dialogs
In Adobe Illustrator 2019, it works. In Adobe Illustrator 2020, it gives me an "unable to open file" error. When I comment out "without dialogs", it opens the file, but then naturally pops open a dialog (not helpful when you are opening dozens of files!)
MacOS 10.13.6, not sure what other information would be needed.

Example:

Character Panel Typing Font Names Manually Issue
When trying to type certain font names manually in the first field the placement of the letters jumps to the wrong spot.
When I type "Arial Bold", "Arial Regular", or "Cooper Black" the cursor or text placement seems to fail and not type the text in order from left to right. I saw one other post here with a similar issue but it could not be reproduced. This is the first time I have seen this so far on the new Illustrator CC 2020. Low performance after Windows 10 november 2019 update
After updating Windows 10, illustrator becomed very slow both in file opening than commands execution ("application not responding" for minutes each time).
I uninstalled illustrator release 24 and tryed the 23, that performed very well in the past, but the problem persists.2 votes
