1. One object in a selection is always a key object

   Previous Ai update came with an issue where I can't fully hide edges unless objects are grouped which, to me, is an inefficiency. There were other glitches as well, which appear to have been resolved with the closely-following most recent update.

3. CMY touch bar not working properly

   1. My OS: MacOS 10.15.5 (Catalina) / Illustrator CC 2020 (24.2)

   2. a) Create a new document (CMYk mode)
      b) create a rectangle
      c) Use touch bar CMYk color space to change fill color
      d) Nothing happens.

   3. Expectation:
      a) Create a new document (CMYk mode)
      b) create a rectangle
      c) Use touch bar CMYk color space to change fill color
      d) Change color according to colours sliders change.

   4. No change on fill or stroke color.

4. Cannot save .AI files - Presets are empty

5. Creating Halftones Quality Has Decreased

   I am beyond frustrated with what used to be a smooth, simple rendering process for creating halftones. I do what most do: create the shape with a black to white gradient > create setting under Color Halftone > Expand Appearance > Image Trace > Expand Appearance (again). Boom, done.

   Howevre, please refer to my image below. From left to right, this is what is happening now with the current software. First on the left is the gradient shape. Next is the effect if you apply the color halftone. So far no issues. But as soon as you apply Image Trace, which was done in the third object, the default settings render this monstrosity, whereas the previous default would create an almost perfect outline of the halftone. The final and forth object is what happens when you apply High Fidelity to it to attempt an improved rendering, and as you can see, it's still horrible. All of the spheres in the halftone are butchered.

   What the heck happened here? This never happened before and took seconds to perform without hardly ANY setting adjustments, even under default. I just had to exclude white and was done.

   Please PLEASE can you go back and fix this?

6. SVG files not properly being displayed in Adobe Illustrator

   SVG files are not opening properly in Adobe Illustrator. I can open them in browsers or in Inkscape with no issue. When I open them up in Adobe Illustrator, they are rendered and displayed incorrectly.

7. Move tool lags and I can't move my layers.

   I don't have any ideas necessarily. Just want the features provided to work normally. I can't even use my move tool without the program lagging. Also, it's nearly impossible to organize my layers because Illustrator doesn't allow me to move them. It makes tasks that should take 1 second to do take 5 mins. Which makes it impossible to get anything done.

8. Update (v24,2) crashes Illustrator consistently, enough memory (RAM) and slow down when using eraser tool

   I'm working on Windows 10 last build 2004
   i7 6600
   Mem 24 GB
   Graphics GTX 1080Ti 11gb

   After the last update, Illustrator has consistently crashed. When I select Eraser tool the app perform a huge slow down. After some time working the illustrator starts to slow down and I need to relaunch. Some minor crashs occuir too.

9. save change

   I opened an existing Illustrator .ai file. Changed the colour of an object's stroke. Saved. Closed. Then I noticed the change was not there.
   Repeated several times. Kept trying to make the change and command-s. 
   I could see the colour change when I changed the value, but saving did nothing. I noticed that after making the change, the red circle at the top left of the window did not get a black dot to indicate an unsaved change.
   I finally did a Save As to make it remember the change. Using Illustrator 24.2 on Mac OS 10.13.6

10. No x- and y-values for rectangles in the top menu bar

    The last Update 24.2 installed. When drawing a rectangle there are no more x- and y-values shown in the top menu bar!!! So they can’t be edited. Only the width and height is shown. How miserable.

    I happens when the width of the screen is not wide enough to fit all the elements the Control panel can display. Some blocks, especially from the Transform section, get omitted.

    To workaround this without purchasing a larger display, one can open the Control panel's flyout menu, untick some options, like Align, and check if the section needed returns. 13. File opens with one color value & the values change when placed in a new document

    Hi There, I am working in the latest release of AI on a MacBook Pro OS 10.15.4 (Catalina) and I am reporting a bug I've encountered.

    To preface, I don't know the age of the original logo file. The artwork is a PMS chip value, saved in an RGB document.

    To get the RGB value of the logo I opened the file and inspect the color. Since it was a PMS, I go to the RGB view either in the color panel or the selector in the tool bar & I see a specific value. (0/53/98) when I paste the artwork into a brand new file the RGB value changes to (0/55/100).

    In the 20 years I've been working I've never seen a color mix change from one document to another other when both are set as RGB. The same artwork is being used in each document.

14. White selection tool: getting an error message that the entire item must be selected.

    When I use the white selection tool, to grab an edge of shape to nudge it, I'm getting an error message that the entire item along a path must be selected.

15. Dotted Guidelines on Retina Displays too small, and option to move Guidleines to back needed!

    I have a 27" Late 2015 iMac with a Retina display. I used to work with guidelines that were dots, but I've found that they are too small to see on a Retina display, so practically unusable, making me resort to using lines. However, if I move the same artwork window onto my second monitor (non-Retina), the dotted guidelines return to a reasonable size. If there was an option to increase the size of guideline dots as part of the UI preferences, that would be a great addition. Also: the ability to move guidelines to the back of the artwork needs to be added!

16. Saving a piece in PSD format

    Every time i try to export my file into a photoshop format, the 'writing photoshop file' bar doesn't move and illustrator crashes for a couple of minutes then "Photoshop file could not be saved' pops up and the piece doesn't export. Ive tried exporting at lower ppis but that doesn't see to help the issue. The only way I was able to get past it was exporting it as a flat image. Which is quite inconvenient. I didn't have this issue yesterday, when i exported a similar piece. I also re-tried exporting a piece that i was able to do yesterday and the problem occurred still, so it may be an update issue? If not let me know what I may be doing wrong etc. Thanks!

17. The latest update is now causing 'align to top' to behave like 'align to bottom', and 'align to left' to behave like 'align to right'

    The alignment tools never had this problem until the latest update. Wish I hadn't updated since it's now slowing my workflow. Please consider fixing this issue on the next update.

18. Rename layer problem in 24.2; cursor disappears

    Prior behavior: that the cursor would appear, could then be moved via the arrow keys

20. Cannot stop Auto Resize on Area Type box for large text areas

    I do not want my text box to auto-resize. The "Auto-Resize" option fails on large text box areas. Auto-Resize is turned off in my preferences. I have large text box areas filled with type and whenever I need to make an adjustment to the type box it always automatically resizes. I have tried selecting the "fixed" options and those fail too. In the video attached you can see that large areas of text will automatically resize. However, on a smaller scale the Area Type box does not.
