1. Color mode changing issue (Grayscale mode)

   Hi,

   We are using Adobe Illustrator CS6 & CC22, for image color conversion.

   Input: Figures in RGB mode & color RGB
   Output: Figures in CMYK mode & color Grayscale

   Manual Process:
   When we change color mode manually by following below step, then no issues color mode was changed successfully:

   Step 1:Select Image.
   Step 2:Go to File Menu -> In Document Color Mode Select RGB Color.
   Step 3:Go to Edit Menu -> Edit Colors Select Convert to GrayScale.
   Step 4:Go to File Menu -> In Document Color Mode Select CMYK Color.

   Now our output images will be in CMYK mode & color Grayscale.

   Automation process:
   When we change color mode for batch of figures through Javascript using the below code, color mode was not changed:

   app.executeMenuCommand("Colors7");
   app.executeMenuCommand("doc-color-cmyk");
   }

   Now our output images are RGB mode & color Grayscale. The issue was RGB mode instead of CMYK so the image looks darker.

   Please check and advise how to proceed with the codes.

   I'm attached screenshots of both outputs.

2. Illustrator changes color values when pasting between documents

   When I copy and paste vector objects between documents (both in CMYK mode), it often slightly changes color values, unless I hit Cmd+C three or four times before pasting. It also often pastes unformatted text in default Myriad Pro font (workaround is also hitting Cmd+C multiple times (!?)). I work in printing industry, I am very familiar with color modes and stuff, have proper synchronised color settings, but this is really annoying.

3. Clicking Reset button in Recolor Artwork panel, sets 'Reset' as default button

   When using Recolor Artwork to adjust an artwork's colors, I click 'Reset' to return to previous colors. Then I adjust the colors again, and when I'm satisfied with the result, I hit Enter. This should apply the settings to the artwork. But it resets all of the settings, because 'Reset' is highlighted and hitting Enter activates it, instead of the 'OK' button, which is expected to work.

4. Motifs are eaten on artboard on exit of using pattern tool

   Hi please could someone tell me why this happens. When I exit the pattern tool by either clicking cancel or done. The motifs on the artboard are eaten away. Some times half of it or all of it, after exiting pattern tool. Sometimes text on the artboard gets filled with images. Like the text James was filled with the Noah image I have a video to demonstrate what happens but it won’t upload. .

5. Error al crear patrones

   Cuando uno crea patrones a la vez se crean como cuadrados que serparan lo patrones esta se puede ver cuando uno expande el objeto, pero tambien a la vez afecta en el diseño cuando lo llevamos a Photoshop.

6. Cannot modify Fill and Stroke color of objects

   Sometimes when the object is selected (think it is the select tool activated by A) I cannot modify the color of the stroke or fill. The popup menu that I usually use for this does not work.

8. カラーコード入力で色を変えると戻れない

   Illustrator 26.2.1
   windows10 21h1

   カラーモードRGBでカラーパネルもRGBでの作業で、カラーコード(#と6桁)を打ち込んで色を変え、前の色に戻したいなとctrl+z(取り消し)を押すと挙動がおかしいです。
   まったく戻らなかったり、カラーコードを打ち込む前の操作に戻ったりします。

   コミュニティに投稿し、再現されている方がいるのでバグだと思います。

9. Editing pattern or symbol changes selected layer

   Upon exiting edit mode for symbols or patterns the selected layer will change to the top-most layer. It should remember the selected layer prior to entering edit mode and maintain that.

10. Illustrator changing color values every time I reopen program v 26.0.2

    I'm on a brand new MacBook Pro and I'm using illustrator from the cloud version 26.0.2 on Mac Monterey v 12.1. Every time I close out a file and reopen it the hex colors are changed. I have never touched the setting on my colors. I've attached an example below. You can see that when I was previously working in the file I listed the hex code, but now when I open it it is different. Please help. This is making my branding impossible and I'm turning in projects incorrectly as a result.

11. Illustrator keeps oversaturating the color space even though modes/swatches are set correctly.

    When opening a file (usually with photography), illustrator will oversaturate all the colors regardless of color settings. Everything will be set to consistent CMYK settings but the colors show up so saturated and it's impossible to work in that space.

12. CC Library to Illustrator Swatch: Name Length Bug Creates Magenta Spot Color

    When adding a Color Swatch to Illustrator from the CC Library:

    If the CC Library item's name is over a certain number of characters, Illustrator cannot import the swatch correctly.

    Instead, Illustrator imports the CC Library color as a Magenta Spot Color.

    The only workaround currently is to shorten the CC Library item's name to match the maximum allowed characters for an Illustrator Swatch, and then import the color.

    FIX: Allow more characters for Illustrator Swatch names to be compatible with with CC Library character length for items.

13. Creating a new swatch group from selection adds swatches that aren't used anywhere.

    At the end of a project, I like to select everything on an artboard and create a swatch group with "Convert Process to Global" checked in order to clean up my swatches and make final global tweaks to color.

    Often a handful of swatches will be added that aren't apparently used anywhere. I can verify this by selecting the swatch as a fill or stroke, then choosing Select > Same Fill (or Stroke) color. Nothing will be selected for either option. So is this a glitch, or how else can I find and delete the source of the swatch?

14. Fehlendes abspeicher neuer farbfelder

    Kann keine neuen Farbfelder abspeichern, geschweige denn sie in der Bibliothek unterzubringen, noch die Standardfarben zu löschen… Wäre schön wenn man das über ein plussymbol hinbekommen könnte… plus neuen Farbenamen als Kategorie in die man die neuen Farbfelder speichern kann und beim antippen der Kategorie die Möglichkeit in Bibliothek zu speichern…

15. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

    If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

    It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

    A comparison of my workflow below—

    Black Global Swatch:
    1. Remove all swatches from the file
    2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
    3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
    4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
    5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
    6. Select "OK"
    7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

    White Global Swatch:
    1. Remove all swatches from the file
    2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
    3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
    4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=255 G=255 B=255" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=0") to "White"

16. Global Color swatch copied into new document even if not used on element being copy/pasted.

    Problem: create a square with stroke=0 and fill=100% black. Copy and paste into new document and color swatches are okay. Now go to first document and add a Global Color swatch (i.e. Pantone Green) but don't add it to the square (so it's still stroke=0 / fill=100% black). Copy the square and paste it into a new document. For some reason, that Global Color (Pantone Green) swatch is added to the swatch palette of the new document. Now choose 'Select All Unused', the Pantone Green is selected to prove it's not being used in the element (square) you copy/pasted from the first document.

    Add to this: Add another Global Color (Pantone Purple) to the first doc but don't add it to the square. Copy/paste into another new document and only the second color swatch (Pantone Purple) is added to the new document.

    Now: Delete the first Global Color (Pantone Green) in the first doc. Copy/paste the square and add it to still another new document. You'll see a color swatch added called 'Deleted Global Color (Pantone Green)'.

    I just noticed this bug and posted it in the forums. Another user confirmed they see the same issue dating back several versions. This can be quite a problem when trying to move elements from one document to another.

18. CMYK Files Colors are Displaying as RGB in Illustrator 2022 Version 26.0.1

    (Illustrator 2022) Open a new CMYK file, create a box, color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 "select the same CMYK color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 " (In Color Picker) that is clearly showing a darker color then what is behind the open select box.

    If this happens for you, make sure you have the same color settings setup in both versions (Edit > Color Settings).

19. Pantone swatches being deleted even after adding them to the correct folder

    Our graphic users need to use additional Pantones in Adobe illustrator. In order to do that, they copy some Pantone files to the AI's Pantones folder on the local machine. When they open AI, they can see and use the Pantone. The problem is, that after they close the AI application, it the Pantone files being deleted automatically from the AI's pantone folder. Therefore, they copy the Pantones to the AI's folder each time they need to use it, which is very discouraging.

20. Color guide issue/bug

    When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.
    PLEASE FIX.
