Kerning Issues with latest update
The last Illustrator update has caused havoc with all of my type placement for files saved under the previous version. I tried to change color modes for a project and all of my text shifted (different now between the digital and print versions). This would seem to be a bug; the kerning gets super tight and some of the empty spaces (just the space character) all but disappear, compacting words together. This is happening all files I've tested with and on a system running Windows 10 (not sure if the same issue exists on Mac environments). Is this something that's…

Second line of type (point and area) is picking up the style of the first line when pasting plain text
New to 25.3.1 update, MacOS 11.4. When there are two lines in a point or area type object separated by a return, selecting the entire second line (formatted differently from the first line) and pasting in plain text (copied from a Finder filename) is now picking up the formatting from the first line instead of retaining the formatting from the existing line, as if there were an invisible return character from the first line, or as if it were a continuation of the first line. This is contrary to AI behavior since forever.

テキストの半角スペースに点が現れる
Ver 25.3.1 windows
25.3.1にバージョンアップすると突然テキストの半角スペースにピリオドが現れました。
1. テキストに半角スペースを打つ
2. テキストに線幅を入れて縁取りにする
3. その線の線端を丸型線端にするするとスペース部分に点が現れます。テキストをアウトライン化すると消えますが、そのままPDF書き出しすると残ります。

ご報告いただいた「ver.25.3.1 でテキストに丸型線端の線幅が追加されると、半角スペースに点が表示される」問題を修正した、Illustrator 2021（ver.25.4.1）を一般リリースいたしました。
Creative Cloud デスクトップアプリケーションから、製品版のアップデートが可能となっておりますので、動作をお確かめください。

日本語入力時に英数キーで確定されます
macOS Hi Sierra/Catalina/Big Sur
Adobe Illustrator CC2017〜2021（それ以前の可能性も有）Macには独自の日本語テキスト入力のシステムがあります。
入力した文字を確定する前に「英数キー」を2度連打すると
半角アルファベットに変換されます。
「かなキー」を2度連打すると再変換することができます。CS5までのIllustratorとすべてのPhotoshopではこのシステムが有効です。
しかし、IllustratorCCでは「英数キー」「かなキー」での
変換ができません。
日本語を入力中に「英数キー」を押すと変換されず確定されます。私はMacOS X10.3から長くこのシステムに慣れているので
現在のIllustratorの仕様は誤入力につながり不便です。1 vote -
Variable Fonts style order on Character pallete
When a variable font has an instance (that is not the first master) set as the default, it shows on top of the list and not in its right place. It should not move to the top of the list.

When using optical type feature, since the update it displays the type as if it has no spaces?
Running version 25.3 on illustrator.
16.21 indesign.
Since updating me and a few people i know who also use the software across indesign and illustrator have seen when using the optical type feature, it displays the type as if it has no spaces? Type treatment is thrown off to what is traditionally correct. Please fix this! This will have a massive knock on affect with branding agencies if rules are changing regarding such simple things.
18 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Auto Spell Check not working when ai file is converted to newer version
I noticed when an older .ai file version (ex. CS4) is converted to a newer version (illustrator 2020) the auto spell check will not work on text and text boxes. The only way I found to fix this is draw a new text box and copy the text from the old box to the new one.

Unable to activate fonts
I am unable to activate new fonts using the find more feature in AI. When I attempt to activate a font, it attempts to activate but does not complete. However, the font is indicated as active on fonts.adobe.com, yet still not available in AI.

area text corrupted on transfer from Mac to Windows
When an ai document containing area text is saved in CC2020 or 2021 on Mac, and that document is then opened in CC2020 or 2021 on Windows, the area text gets broken (ie it's no longer a single run of text). We are having to save as legacy and stick to 2019 on Windows to get around it.
The same problem may apply from Windows to Mac, but I haven't checked it.1 vote -
Bug on the All Caps (case) open type feature
If the typeface uses GPOS in the "case" feature to relocate a glyph, Illustrator seems to ignore it. It is working well no InDesign and and Photoshop.

CFF font outline rendering issue
I have received a font quality complaint which seems to be related to Adobe Illustrator 2021. It does not occur in versions 2019 and 2020. In the app viewport, some outlines have kinks which are not part of vector outlines (image 1). When converted to outlines, the paths are clean, however the bump is still being rendered (image 2). In a png output file the bump is not present either (image 3). It seems to be a viewport rasterizer failure rather than font flaw. Please let me know if any additional information is required. Type on path tool, cannot flip to inside the path

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019) macOS Big Sur v. 11.2.3, 32mg memory, 2.3GHz 8-core Intel Core i9, Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
Created a circle, attempting to use type on path tool, works find to place type outside circle, cannot drag the type inside the circle to be at the bottom. Shows there when I click and drag but when I release it places the text on the outside of the circle in a different location.

Type on path shifting placement
I've updated to Illustrator 2021 (version 25.2.2), now when I open files from the 2020 version of Ai, type that was sitting on a curved path is now shifting all over the place. For example in the image attached the type should be full displayed and centres. This is happening on many files and is a major issue! This needs fixing!

Orator fonts specifically are not loading which my entire company branding materials use. I need a resolution ASAP!!!

Set the leading with arrows occasionally strip fractional widths
When using the arrows to adjust the leading on type with fractional leading (e.g. 29.95) the period is stripped out and a new leading is the same numeral amount just without the period (e.g. 2995)
