Embedded images are lost when saving as a PDF
When I save a .ai file as a .pdf, many of the embedded .psd images are missing when I open the PDF in Acrobat. I have reinstalled Illustrator (2019) and Acrobat (Pro DC), but the problem persists. I have tried saving using different pdf formats, but the images are still missing in the PDF. If, however, I open the PDF in Illustrator, the images reappear. Thoughts?

eps import slow (e.g. for eps created in Matlab)
The import of eps-files created in other programs (e.g. Matlab) is slow: opening a file of 10 kb can take 10-30 seconds. Why?
I am using AI CC 22.1.

Can't open .dwg files all of a sudden
Ai CC 2019 - Can no longer open dwg files - the error is "unknown file format" the old work around used to be to save the .dwg & all xref's to a 2010 version and it would open. Super frustrating as this has occurred in the middle of a project. How to get the dwg's compatible again?
3 votesPlease email a dwg that was opening in CC 2018 but not on CC 2019.

Alignment Tool is Off
I'm using the alignment tool to center a logo onto it's artboard. Both the logo and the artboard are 500px by 500px, but when I use the align tool the logo is off by a couple px. It's barely noticeable until I export to png, then I can see that the circle is cut off slightly.
Any help?

'could not complete package' message in Illustrator CC 2019
Trying to package an illustrator file is met with 'could not complete package' message. No further explanation is provided. This is an inconsistent error, it seems more common when the file contains .eps links.

Underscores in SVG id attributes won't get their CSS styles applied
When using ids in SVG elements with underscores in them, their styles won't be applied when opened in Illustrator.
Attached is a 281 bytes file showing the problem. Opening it in Illustrator should show the square being red.
From the XML spec:
Note that COLON, HYPHEN-MINUS, FULL STOP (period), LOW LINE (underscore), and MIDDLE DOT are explicitly permitted.3 votes -

Template files (.ait) use/show the Adobe Swach Exchange (.ase) icon in Windows Explorer
It's pretty much what the title says, .ait files show up in Explorer with the .ase icon. Everything works as expected though, double clicking it will open a new file in Illustrator, so this is purely a cosmetic issue.

SVG files can not be opened in Adobe CC / Illustrator 22.1.0 (Mac OS, High Sierra)
I have been successfully exported / imported SVG files in the past. Just recently I had to re-install MacOS and Adobe CC suite with Illustrator, Photoshop etc. I just noticed I can not open SVG files in Illustrator anymore. They can be opened in Photoshop but not in Illustrator. If i try to open them in illustrator, I'm seeing prompt where I can choose if I want to import the file in text, PNG (!) or some other formats.

Losing Layers when saving as PDF from CC 2018 and reopening in CC2017
Losing Layers when saving as PDF from CC 2018 and reopening in CC2017.
We save all our ai files as "Illustrator Default" PDF's so we can see the layers in Acrobat and come back and modify the file in ai with no concerns. After updating to CC 2018 and saving a file the same way making sure to preserve illustrator and create acrobat layers when opened in an older version of ai (CC 2017) we will not see the file with layers. If opened in 2018 all is good. Never had this issue with CC 2017 when someone opened it…3 votes -
Recent File Opens Up Blank Without My Saved Work
I recently saved a file/project I was working on. The next day when I went to go open the recently saved file it opened a blank page. None of the layers were shown, and the size was not right. I tried restarting my computer but still the same thing occurred. It was like the art I drew was not even there. Can someone please help me? Thanks!

Save Adobe PDF compression resolutions are mixed up
When you go to Save As and select PDF, and go into the Compression tab there are three sections of settings for image qualities and resolutions, Color, Grayscale and Monochrome. The bug is that the Monochrome Bitmap settings are ignored and grayscale settings are used instead.
If you look at my PDF export settings screen shot you will see that Monochrome was supposed to export at 600dpi and Grayscale at 200. The Monochrome image in the resulting PDF file came out at 200 dpi instead. The Grayscale image came out at 200 dpi as well.
Thanks! Hope it gets fixed…

SVG Export
AI 22.1. 64-bit Windows 10
The SVG export is much better in this new version of AI. However, on some art boards it is still missing some components. However, if I select the art board, then choose Save As SVG, it displays the components, but it is a much larger file. I will upload this AI file, which has 12 art boards. It is Art Board #11 that is not exporting properly when I press Ctrl+Alt+E. This image has 6 green bars, but 3 of those bars are not showing up in the image. Everything else seems to be correct.…3 votesWe have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

Can't work on a server - crashing and not saving files
I recently updated my OS to High Sierra V. 10.13.3 and have Illustrator CC18 22.0.1. I work on a server and at first, every time I tried to resave a file for the second time it would crash. Now all of a sudden I am able to save once and when I try to save the second time it says it can't and I have to save the file with a new name. It also keeps making .tmp files. If I work off of my server on my desktop this does not happen.
