Illustrator won't open files this is no good. On Illustrator vision 22.1 Mac book pro 2015

Battery impact when Illustrator simply open in background
Simply leaving Illustrator 22.0.1 open in the background, even while not actively using it, causes my MacBook Pro (MacOS High Sierra, 10.13.4) to run hot and drains the battery quickly, about 1% per minute. This limits my ability to use Illustrator without having my computer plugged in. This is easily demonstrated/replicated by having no other applications open. There should be zero CPU usage when Illustrator is simply open in the background and not in use.

Selection tool, bounding box
Square did not fill with the fill color I selected. The objects are all pixelated and not clear. Bounding boxes keep disappearing. Objects moving back to previous positions.
3 votesIllustrator can display artwork in Preview mode and Outline mode — with only lines edges drawn. You can switch between this modes with Cmd/Ctrl+Y hotkey or via View > GPU/CPU Preview / Outline command.

Illustrator 2018 crashes constantly..
Hey there, fellow Illustrator-People,
since yesterday I'm running into an issue that stops me from making any progress on the project I'm currently working on, without any signs of a logical cause here.
I was trying to open up a few recent files I worked on but Illustrator just straight up closes, without any crash pop-up or illustrator re-opening any of the files when getting started again. "Type Object Selection by Path Only" no longer works
I've been using this option from the start and the new version (Oct 18) ignores the preference and I have to click down to select objects below the type. VERY annoying.

Trackpad zooming causing an earthquake on Illustrator CC 2018
Zooming in via the trackpad causes an unexpected earthquake-like glitch. Zooming in via keyboard shortcuts work as expected.
Also, at the end of the video, I show off the full screen bug, which has been present since CC 2017 version after updating to High Sierra. This also happens in probably all other applications (its like this too I believe in Ps and Id) Thought that would've been fixed by now! Thanks.

Ctrl+F
Antigamente, o ctrl+F (colar no local) colava a forma no mesmo local independentemente da camada ou artboard. Hoje ele cola apenas na mesma camada na qual foi recortado ou copiado. Isso é muito ruim pois temos que direcionar para a camada desejada manualmente. Acho que isso é um bug visto que a função perde o sentido.

Illustrator shows spinning circle - tried everything
I can use the mouse, but the cursor has a spinning wheel even outside Illustrator, and the menus don't work. I've been through checklists about install/reinstall, remove user preference folder, in Illustrator as in other products, I've tried moving all the fonts I could from the fonts folder. I've rebooted multiple times. I've tried reinstalling Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator keeps turning on "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" when I want it off.
Adobe Illustrator 30.0 keeps turning on "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" in the Performance Settings when I want it off. I uncheck it, and it's fine. It stays that way. However, sometimes if the app has been quit and reopened, the checkbox is ticked again. Unless I'm accidentally causing it to happen with a secret keyboard shortcut, the app is arbitrarily doing this itself! It also does it sometimes when the app is updated. It's actually an old bug and goes back many, many versions. Time it was stamped out, Adobe.

Illustrator 2025 cannot copy and paste.
I cannot get my illustrator to copy and paste. The newer the version, the more frequent this issue happens. Now, I couldn't even copy and paste.
I'm not using any 3rd party clipboard management. I did not reconfigure my keyboard shortcuts. I have cleared windows clipboard, cleared preference. I tried shutting off the software and reopen. Every time is still the same.
It's not a new issue. What baffles me is Adobe keep coming out to new features while couldn't deal with such simple function.

Request for Improvement: Kerning Delay with Complex Background Data in Illustrator 2025
I am experiencing performance issues with Adobe Illustrator 2025 (latest version) in the following environment:
Environment: MacBook Pro 2024 (32GB RAM, SSD), macOS Sequoia
File Setup: Approximately 30 artboards with the same complex background (vector data or high-resolution images)
Issue: Kerning and text spacing adjustments result in a ~1-second delay per operation. Hiding the background does not resolve the issue, but removing it eliminates the delay.Attempted Solutions:
Disabled Navigator panel and layer thumbnails
Toggled GPU performance on/offRequest: Please optimize performance to ensure smooth kerning operations even with multiple artboards and complex background data.

Enough with the memory sucking "upgrades" already!
Hey Adobe, you've already forced us all to pay more for your subscription based software model now, so maybe instead of focusing so ******* building memory sucking AI generative tools for people who aren't artists, you should provide a version for the folks who don't need all this new ****. Stop messing with perfectly good and functional software that real artists want to use! 3D Materials Panel Causes Much Longer Document Load Times
Regarding the 3D Effects Panel in Illustrator, it seems to take nearly 20 seconds when launching a new document if in the previous session the Panel was active. If the 3D Effects panel was not active, then the document loads much faster. It would be great to have Illustrator handle the load time better.
I'm using Illustrator version 29.2.1 in MacOS WITH Sequoia 15.2 on an M4 Pro 48GB RAM.

Constant crashing - can't even move an object
Have updated my illustrator to the most recent version 29.1.
Using Mac OS Sequoa 15.1.1 - M1.
I would make changes, scroll to another section of my frame. Return back and my changes were then 'reverted'.
Every time I open the app it lags, spinning wheel of death, and all i'm doing is trying to maybe zoom in or out, copy or move an object.
I have reverted to old versions, reinstalled etc
It's a small file, good computer with heaps of memory.
Illustrator is basically unusable at this point and can't do my work. .
