  1. Linked images don't show when opening a file

    Since the June update, some linked images don't appear when first time opening an existing file. After selecting them with the white arrow and moving them, they suddenly appear.

  2. Rename layer problem in 24.2; cursor disappears

    Mojave 10.14.6, Illustrator 24.2
    Attempting to rename a layer in the Layers panel
    Prior behavior: that the cursor would appear, could then be moved via the arrow keys
    Actual behavior: cursor completely disappears

  3. Info Palette anomalies

    The Info Palette in AI 24.2 won't resize to its normal size. Plus the CMYK fields are out of place.

  4. Cannot stop Auto Resize on Area Type box for large text areas

    I do not want my text box to auto-resize. The "Auto-Resize" option fails on large text box areas. Auto-Resize is turned off in my preferences. I have large text box areas filled with type and whenever I need to make an adjustment to the type box it always automatically resizes. I have tried selecting the "fixed" options and those fail too. In the video attached you can see that large areas of text will automatically resize. However, on a smaller scale the Area Type box does not.

  5. Cmd+drag does not copy artboard

    Cmd+drag only moves selected artboard. No copy possible. No layers or content are protected. Option to copy artwork with dartboard is selected.

  6. program freezes on layer reorganizing and moving shapes 24.1.3

    MacBook Pro OS Catalina 10.15.4
    2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
    16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
    Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
    Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

    Using a Wacom Intuos M running drivers v. 6.3.39-1

    Illustrator 24.1.3

    When using computer's trackpad or drawing tablet I have encountered problems that render the program unresponsive.

    As I re-order layers in the layers panel and I when move simple shapes or groups of shapes across the artboard, the action is not performed. When hovering the cursor anywhere in the interface I see a circle with a strike through it, program is essentially…

  7. Creates "ai2483293123FileName.ai" files

    I'm using 24.1.3 of Illustrator and I have come across these files popping up on my network drive. Are these now the "temp" files? Once these files are created, I can not delete them because Finder tells me it is currently being in use.

  8. Crash on open/new documenti after window 10 update 4560960

    After 4560960 update, illustrator crashes on open or new document.
    Uninstalling update does fix it.

    Windows 10 home, all latest updates applied, happens on 10 machines, all different hardware.

    Not sure if illustrator or windows bug. For now delayed updates for a week, hoping in a fix soon.

  9. Illustrator 24.1.3 Type tool and text refresh

    I've been experiencing an error and annoying Type tool bug since the last update to AI 24.1.3. It happens when I type something and later I go back to edit it (for example adding extra text, fixing a type) and the change does not appear to occur until I switch to Outline view. Alternatively, if I option-drag the text path the duplicate path shows the correct text. This is an old error (at least in appearance) that was fixed several versions ago and now it's back.

  10. Rotating with selection tool buggy

    When attempting to rotate a shape using the bounding box and the selection tool, in every version previous to 24.0 I just moved the cursor outside the bounding box a certain distance and the cursor would change to a bent arrow, allowing me to click and rotate. Ever since then, I've still been able to rotate the shape this way, but the cursor arrow doesn't change to the bent arrow icon until after I click, meaning I am unsure whether or not I am about to resize or rotate the shape.

  11. Crashing and not recovering when Windows 10 laptop awakes from sleep

    HP ZBook Studio G5
    Intel i7 8th Gen
    Running Windows 10 Pro
    Creative Cloud completely updated, including AI

    Any time I have an open file and leave the laptop for a few min, it seems to crash AI and will not recover any files, so I have to recreate files quite often.

  12. spot color limit

    Please stop the limiting of the spot colors. I use multiple spot colors when making color swatches for profiling some of our machines. I do not always want to convert everything into CMYK in Illustrator.

    I am not sure why this was changed because I can not understand what value limiting the colors adds?

  13. My colors keep shifting values

    I create swatches and it still doesn't remember shifts the value. RGB and CMYK. Seems to happen in every doc.
    Any insight to what I'm doing wrong would be helpful.

  14. A temp file is created on saving after an error mesage

  17. 3D Extrude & Bevel Mapping Symbol

    When I try to map a vector artwork using the 3D Extrude & Bevel Options on the "Map Art" windows shows that the artwork is mapped correctly on the face of shape however the final result stays with the black color of the outline, this does not happen when I do a flat graphic like a JPEG or PNG.

    This issue has been happening with multiple versions of illustrator.

  18. Illustrator crashes on Macbook Air Mojave

    Illustrator crashes frequently - generally after 20 minutes of use. Most frequently when I'm using pen tool do draw qith bezier curves. First the background desktop goes black, then menu items dissappear, then it freezes and goes entirely black. 2015 Macbook Air on Mojave -

  19. Copy-pasted text don’t show ö,ü,ä,õ letters

    If I copy "täpitähed" (or whatever text with those letters in) it gives messy text where öüäõ letters are not seen at all. It worked nicely before... but now sometime it becomes this messy paste. Can you please fix it!

  20. Text in connected Area Type Text boxes becomes very unstable when scaling

    1. MacOs Mojave 10.14.6

    2. What did:

    3. Made area type square object

    4. Copied it 13 times, connected it

    5. put this structure under mask (tried also to put every object under it's own mask- same result).

    6. added shape objects

    7. Scaled everything - everything fine.

    8. selected all the text in the structure and write new one with the same font/

    9. Scaled it

    10. Usually if you select this structure of connected area type boxes in company with some shape or object and scale all this, size of text in this boxes changes accordingly.
