  1. Illustrator and Adobe apps are slow on retina display

    Hi All!

    I have an issue with Illustrator (23.0.2) on my brand new 15" retina Macbook Pro 2018 (latest edition 2,6GHz i7, 16GB ram, RadeonPro 560X).

    I've seen lot of similar issues here, but I would like to say about an interesting thing.

    If I moving around in a document or zoom in/out (simple or complex), it works really slow. If I switch to GPU preview, it's much better, but in CPU preview it's horrible and unusable.

    Bigger problem is that on my previous 13" MacbookPro (2012 mid, 2,9Ghz i7) without dedicated graphics card everything works fine (in CPU and…

  2. Illustrator Not Responding

    My illustrator program says that it is not responding every time I save. It eventually works but takes 10 or so minutes to save each time. Which is a huge draw back because if I like to save a lot to ensure the safety of my files it impacts my performance by slowing me down.

    I am working off of a server but I don't think that would effect my save proformance.

    I've checked the Nvidia pannel and set my GTX graphics card as default just in case as well.

    I have a cpu and memory meter that aren't showing…

  3. Illustrator won't let me toggle lock or visibility

    I'm having trouble with adobe illustrator. It won't allow me to use the toggle lock/unlock or the toggle visibility function. I've tried closing and starting the program up again. I've even attempted to work from a different computer. Nothing I have done has helped and the bug always reappears after a few seconds. Is there a way I can correct this bug?

  4. Type tool

    Idk about anyone else. But since I updated Illustrator, my Type Tool has been slowing down my computer to the point where it almost crashes whenever I am using the tool. Clicking ANYTHING or highlighting type causes the "spinning ball" to pop up instantly, and sometimes not even highlighting the selection I want!

    Thoughts?

  5. Cursor location offset from mouse. Cannot select or use illustrator effectively.

    I am on Creative Cloud version Version 23.0.1. I am having a problem from the moment I open Illustrator that the mouse and cursor do not synchronise. The cursor actually selects something completely offset from what I am trying to select. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as just restarting. Nothing is resetting it to work correctly.

  6. Al CC crashing constantly

    I have a brand new Surface Pro 6 with 8Gb of RAM and AI CC is the only program I have put on it, yet the program crashes every time I start using the brush tools. How do I fix this? This new laptop was purchased specifically for me go use AI on and so far I an unable to do so.

  7. Key object selection mismatch

    When I select two objects and choose the key object for allignment, the top allignment option shows the «Align to key object» and object gets highlighted, however if I go to the sidebar to introduce a spacing number it shows «Align to selection» instead and I need to change the option again. This is so frustrating.

  8. Scale tool bug with Shift+Alt

    window 10 / cc2019 (been seeing this issue in 2018 and 2017 too)
    Scale tool selected
    press shift+Alt
    click anywhere on the workarea

    This sends illustrator nuts: the scaling cursor doesn't stick to the place you click, nor it goes away. No other tool is selectable, no action can be taken. After minutes (actual minutes) the scaling tool popup window appears, then you can close it and go on woth the work.

    I know this tool is not supposet to do anything with shift+alt+click but often i keep those keys by mistake. This would be easily solved with an exception…

    Why is this program so slow? I have a fairly robust iMac, working in vectors... trying to layout a simple menu board and the program is jittery and laggy. I have two programs open at the moment: AI and Photoshop

  10. Unoperational

    I'm trying to use Illustrator CC and nothing in the program is responding, everything is greyed out. There is no indication from the program that anything is wrong with it. I have downloaded the latest update and this is the first time I have had such an issue with the program.

  11. No Adobe CC App is working properly since the update of Mac OS to Mojave and the update to 2019 Adobe CC has only made matter worst

    What are we to do this is very frustrating that Adobe CC is not working properly. Have been trying to use it for 2 days. Even spent the entire evening online and on the phone with support. I gave 1 rep remote access to my Mac twice and he deleted several items and uninstalled the CC and reinstalled only to have it doing the same thing. Then had to call about Adobe Spark moments later because I was getting a 400 Bad Request. I am convinced something is wrong with Adobe and we are expected to deal with it.

I haven't tried other CC apps but Pages (not an Adobe app) works fine and so does the internet. I removed Windows Bootcamp from my Mac thinking that it was a space issue. At this rate I am unable to get any work done. Very frustrating

  13. Illustrator CC constantly crashes in Touch Workspace

    I switched to a Surface Pro 2017 (i5, 8GB RAM) a few days ago and Adobe Creative cloud is driving me crazy.

    The issue I'm having is that Illustrator CC 2018 (V23.0) keeps crashing every few minutes when I'm working in the Touch Workspace - which badly needs a layers panel by the way. To use CC like this is the sole reason I got this Surface Pro!

    Things that didn't work:
    - Restarting
    - Updating all my drivers
    - Downgrading to Illustrator CC V22.0
    - Re-installing Adobe CC completely
    - Re-installing Windows completely from a Microsoft Surface Recovery USB

  14. 23.0.1 Consistent Crash - Trying to record a transparency adjustment in an Action

    I'm using an iMac with Mojave 10.14 and Illustrator 23.0.1.

    I'm getting a crash while recording an action with a grouped object selected, I try to edit a transparency via the Properties menu. The crash is within one to two seconds of hitting enter on this change, consistently. Seems like it's another part of the memory leak that's happening?

    I'm rolling back to 22.1 until this is resolved.

  15. Applying Crop Filter causes illustrator to crash

    Hi, I've been trying to use the crop tool from Pathfinder today and every time it's very slow, then freezes, then crashes.. I've got the latest update.. What can be the reason?

  16. Illustrator CC 2019, Very Slow New Document Opening

    Opening speed of new documents is too slow. I press Cmd+N, 5 seconds is definitely waiting.

  17. saved workspace not the same after 22.1 update

    After 22.1 update my workspace is missing saved tool of Symbol, Brush, & Graphic style libraries. Only cloud character library is okay. Reset workspace in menu doesn't work.

  18. iMac pro

    I use a new iMac pro 8 core 32gb. The of Illustrator performance is terrible. I design simple logos (some rectangles and a couple of words) black and white, no pictures, no imported stuff. 4 different Font weights.
    After about 15 min of working everything starts to get a really long lag and becomes almost unusable.
    I can't believe that this is possible. This is going on for several days. I did several restarts. All the other software I use runs amazing. UI is crazy slow. Commands take forever to execute.
    You call this professional?

  19. Key Object Performance Issues

    When aligning to a complex key object, the performance is terrible. When I click on a complex object (say, a group of complex paths or illustrations) to set it as the key object, it lags for several seconds after clicking before I can click an alignment tool. The length of the lag depends on how complex the key object is. This behavior never occurred in prior versions of illustrator. Very annoying.

  20. Slow performans on Mac OSX

    Hi,
    I have been having this problem for a long time. I thought the problem originated from me and I bought a new computer but I have been disappointed.
    This problem is has constantly on the Mac system and I did a test today. I saw that Windows pc is more stable. This is a serious problem.
    This problem is has in many projects. Normally, a computer with this feature should give very good results.

    Please consider this situation urgent.
