Arabic language management in non-Arabic versions of illustrator
It is necessary to be able to manage texts in Arabic also in the Italian version of illustrator. At the moment if I copy some Arabic text from Word and paste it on an illustrator text box, all features are lost and it is not possible to work. The solution is just to change the Illustrator language. The handling of Arabic texts should also be able to be used in other language versions.

Snap to Stroke width option
The addition of the snap-to-glyph functionality that was added to the type tool recently, it could be useful to have the option to snap to the outside width of a stroke (i.e. the where the path would be if a stroke were expanded into a shape), perhaps with a zoom or stroke size threshold to prevent mis-snapping at broader scale.
This could be particularly useful when try to align an object to a path with either a variable width stroke or multiple strokes applied. It would also allow for more precise alignment to the end of open paths that…

Match arrow keys and aligning to view rotation
i just rotated the screen 90 degrees, but when i use the arrow keys, they move the object as if the screen was not rotated. would love to have arrow keys (toggle-able) match screen rotation.

Make Illustrator PDFs more automatically accessible
Accessibility is incredibly important. Obviously Adobe wants to help but it is incredibly limited in Illustrator. If you supply multiple artboards, character and paragraph styles and great text placement options, you should make the PDF export carry those options through. What's the point of using InDesign when you only have two pages? Who needs to files for every project?

Ability to switch how letters overlap
By default, when letters overlap, each following glyph is displayed above the previous one.
When using text effects or OpenType-SVG fonts, this can lead to disappointing results, like shadows on the wrong direction.
Would love to be able to toggle the order in which all glyphs of a specific text selection are rendered: above or below the previous one.
Could even use the extra space in the Character palette to include the feature button ;)

Alt/Option-click on the "New style" icon to open a text style definition dialog directly
It would be a giant leap forward for Illustrator to match InDesign's UX for paragraph and character styles management.
Allow us to Alt/Option-click on the "New style" icon to open the style definition dialog directly, avoiding nonsense names like "Paragraph Style 1."
The same approach is used for Graphic Styles, so it should be allowed for text styles as well.

Paste from Powerpoint
I used to paste graphics/text from Powerpoint into Illustrator with no issues. Now with CC, only text in Times will paste without corruption into symbols. Is there a way around converting the font before copying?

Introduce a key that allows to choose alternate glyphs from popup with keyboard
When working with text, every time I want to choose one of proposed alternate glyphs I have to move my hand to mouse and click the desired symbol.
This is tiring. I work with text. Why can’t I press a key to move the focus to this popup, use arrows to navigate to a desired one, and press Enter to confirm my choice? Why use mouse while I type?
Or is it a way already and I just can't find it?Please, make a way to access these without mouse.

Menu and Tool UI text, sliders, buttons and fields should be easier to click. larger clickable area around each tool options.
The clickable area of many UI elements are smaller than they appear making the process tedious an needlessly taxing.
In my pic my cursor is clearly inside the opacity field but I cannot yet activate it. As it is currently design, I need to be unnecessarily precise. Makes no sense.
The entire UI could stay the same size but clickable areas should become larger.
Text based buttons like opacity should be treaded like buttons with a large clickable area (opacity in a box with ample padding).There would only be improvements to the UX, no downsides.

Prevent Conversion of Outlined Text to Editable Text
The Retype convert to live type feature makes it too easy for clients, vendors, and 3rd parties to convert uneditable work into editable work. It's a nice tool for your own work, but it is potentially bad for business.
Please add permissions features that allow us to control whether or not our files (PDF/AI) can be manipulated in this way by others or reconsider rolling out the Retype conversion feature.
Please DO NOT roll out the Retype convert outline to live type feature unless this protection is added to illustrator.

Dimension Tool option that creates appropriate size lines, arrows, text, based on the art measured
I work within a wide range of sizes, from very small to very large. 9 times out of 10 I'll go to use the dimension tool and find that the lines, arrows, text, etc. are far too large or small. I'll then go through the tedious process of deleting the dimensions, taking a wild guess that the new input sizes will do the trick, and try again. I like all the detailed controls and don't wish for them to go away, but I'd love the option for a more intuitive sizing result based upon whatever I'm measuring. for example,…

Make Spiral as a live shape, editable after it has been drawn
It could be useful to have an option for adding segments, or changing decay, especially if it serves as a path for text.

Add a Text to Speech Feature for those with Dyslexia or other handicaps.
Include in the Illustrator and other Adobe application features the accomodation of Text To Speech. That way when people who are dyslexic or have another handicap may be having a hard time, when you are able to have the computer read the directions of tutorials, etc to you.

Show missing link path/locations like InDesign. (To make relinking an image simple)
In the Link Panel - Indesign shows the file path for placed images and links (even when missing or embedded). In Illustrator's Link panel these path/locations are greyed out with no text, thus making finding a missing file purely guess work. Can the Indesign Links Panel be directly replicated to Illustrator so absolutely the same? Cheers

Allow to select Dimension Text
The numbers displayed by the new Dimension Line Tool should be copyable and editable. Thus we will be able to easily use them in calculations of the golden ratio and edit the length of the line when needed.

Import/Export DXF AAMA/ASTM
In order to be able to work back and forth with Fashion Cad Softwares, it should be useful for Illustrator to handle AAMA or ASTM standard of DXF.

Make setting reference point hotkeyable
Problem Description:
I change the reference point all the time.
I'm so tired of grabbing a mouse and searching for a reference grid and precisely clicking in a tiny-tiny square.
Please add a possibility to set a hotkey for each position!Look, there is a whole numbers block at the right side of a keyboard (if you are not using these fancy ***** castrated versions which don't have it). I could have used it to set the reference point, using something like Ctrl+Shift+3 to set it to the right bottom.

Make guides to be like in InDesign
Certain features of the guides are very disturbing. The fact that the guides are movable in the counter intuitive directions (horizontal guides can also be moved sidewise and vice versa) create situations when "objects" are being moved out of the canvas, which prevents curtain actions. Basically, the fact that guides behave like objects is a problem. Guides always get mistakenly grouped with objects, which leads to deleting objects when attempting to delete guides.
