1. Recolor Artwork stops working if more than one document is open

   If I have two documents open, I am unable to use Recolor Artwork under Color Guide. It just stops working. Nothing happens when I pull the sliders, click to randomly change the color order or click on color groups. It's broken.

   Everything turns back to normal when I close the other document.

2. Type objects duplicated on top and converted to outlines

   Sometimes when opening up a file, type objects are copied and placed exactly above the original type object, and converted to outlines. There are sometimes anywhere from 1 to 3 duplicated objects. It usually affects every type object in the document. The same issue has been affecting my colleagues' computers, and we often work off of the same documents and share them with each other.

   We all have 15" MacBook Pros, using either Illustrator version 2018 or 2019, on Mojave.

   Does this problem happen with the latest Illustrator build?

   If it does — please provide additional information:

   1. What is the format of the document used, .ai or .pdf?

   2. Does it happen with all the the type objects in a document, or only for some specific fonts, or point / area type only?

   3. Do these have any effects or custom appearance applied?

   If you have a chance to create a test file with this issue reproducible — please share it in the comments.

4. Svg export

   Hi! I met with you at CreativePro conference in Seattle. I would like to see more control when exporting svg from Illustrator. More specifically, the ability to remove the title tag when exporting. If not, that's ok, the svgomg site cleans up svg code well. Thank you!

   Thanks a lot for reporting the issue here. We are currently looking into when we write add the title element and when we don’t.

   For more context: The problem you mentioned at CPro was the tool tip that shows up when hovering the mouse above an -embedded SVG document.

5. Cannot double click to open an AI document, or open a smart object from Photoshop

   If Illustrator is closed, I can double-click on a file name, or a smart object in photoshop, and the file will open in Illustrator. If Illustrator is open this is not possible. My workaround has been to open the file from within Illustrator (tedious, but doable). However, there is no workaround to open a photoshop smart object. So I literally have to close Illustrator each and every time I want to open and edit a smart object. At first I thought this had to do with having objects on the clipboard, but even after clearing the clipboard this is still an issue. This ongoing glitch is hampering my productivity in a very big way.

   If Illustrator is closed, I can double-click on a file name, or a smart object in photoshop, and the file will open in Illustrator. If Illustrator is open this is not possible. 6. How about not releasing Illustrator chock full of bugs?

   I'd like to choose a category, but it's multiple at this point. The main ones...

   • Bounding box randomly disappears. I turn it on. It randomly turns off.
   • I select text and go to change factors and the changes affect other text that's not even selected.
   • Photoshop completely changed the sizing to no longer require shift to preserve aspect ratio, which is unnecessary and fixing the things not broken, but if you're gonna do it in one app, do it in all. Kinda ridiculous to jump between programs and not have same functionality.
   • If I go from dual monitors to single, canvas windows are somewhere off screen. This is on Photoshop too, and is eternally frustrating.

   Illustrator is definitely the most buggy of all the Adobe software, and the bugs are just random, so no way to ensure I can reproduce, but always have to restart to get back to normal functionality. Lasts for about 20 minutes. This last version is buggier than the last, which begs to wonder who's testing and fixing bugs in the first place?

7. flickering black rectangle

   when I move the cursor a black rectangle appears flickering alongside it. Its very confusing and off-putting. this happens with most but not all tools.
   Is this something simple that i don't know about or is this something wrong? I have tried closing Illustrator and re-opening but it is still happening. not noticed it before.

8. Illustrator CC 2019 (v23.0.3) will not open files and immediately crashes when trying to do so.

   I've been trying to work on both .ai and .eps files in Illustrator but it won't open them. It just crashes immediately when trying to do so. Is this a common occurrence with this version? Is there a new update coming soon?

   This is an issue that is hindering work severely. I would appreciate anyone's insight on this.

9. 2019 v23.0.4 running VERY Slow and doesn't function correctly

   I am not sure what happened, but in the past week v23 has gone horribly wrong. I am not sure when exactly my computer updated to v23.0.4, but I'm sure that was the start to the problems.

   When you first start the application, it seems to work just like it should, but then you give it a minute or load any sort of file, and it slows WAY down.
   Even creating simple boxes on an artboard will cause it happen. If you drag and size a box, it may actually do that, or it will decided to ask you the size (just like you clicked).
   If you try and duplicate anything it may or may not actually duplicate anything or it will just move it. ETC.. Uploading a quick video to show you some of the problem.
   If you open a file it may take a 2 minutes to do anything.

   My computer is iMac Pro, 3.2 GHz, 32GB Ram.. So that is not the problem.

   I have reinstalled the OS, reset the SMC, and NVRAM & PRAM, completely removed AI 2019 and reinstalled and nothing has changed.

   Need help, because doing ANY work in this new version takes forever and I have a lot of things I need to do!!!

10. Selecting a single object no longer activates the Align to Artboard option in 23.0.4

    Usually when selecting a single object, the align panel defaults to "Align to Artboard." Since upgrading today, it's not doing that. It stays in Align to Selection mode and then the buttons do nothing. Happened after update to 23.0.4 on Mac OS 10.14.5

11. Can't open a second illustrator file by double clicking

    If I double click on a .ai file to launch illustrator and work on that file immediately, everything works fine. but if, after that, I try to do the same with a second or third .ai file, they won't open. the only way to open multiple files is to first launch illustrator (without double clicking an existing file) and then open the .ai files I want to work on.

    it is very annoying and it has been reported many times, but adobe claims to have fixed it with the latest version (23.0.3) which is not true.

12. Change saving process to equal Indesign / Photoshop's

    As you likely know, Illustrator and Google Backup & Sync are not working a long. Discussions with lame work arounds are given, but maybe you can just use the same saving method as Photoshop or Indesign. These programmes work fine with Google Drive / backup & sync, so why not use that method instead?

    I'm just using a regular brush tool but 5 minutes using it voluntarily closes the app. It keeps happening every five minutes. I'm using surface pro i5

14. Stroke/Fill Selection From Library

    1. Windows 10 Pro 10.0.17763 Build 17763
    2. I change the stroke color in appearance menu from library (created in Adobe Colours), which at first works, if I the for the same element or a different element in my graphic try to change the fill from the library, it will still change the stroke. Happens vise versa as well with fill first. Sometimes it resets if I do some other operation in between and I can suddenly change the other colour fill/stroke, but its irratic. But always depends on first action.

15. Choosing Fit On Screen option from the dropdown in the status bar pans to next mouse click position

    When I click fit on screen in the screen size (I don't know the actual name of the option thing) option it fits to the screen THEN will move to where the mouse is clicked next, just like the zoom tool. This is decreasing efficiency of the app for me.

16. Slow/Lagging Preview

    The preview of the canvas is incredibly laggy/stuttery when moving shapes around the canvas. Makes illustrator almost unusable on my PC, always have to use my MacBook.

17. cant type @. when us the AltGr + 1-0 nothing hapend. I work on windows 10

    cant us the AltGr + the number 1-0 it dosent respond have tried to change the keyboard, re instsall Ai this is on a windows 10 . have Ai on a windows 7 ther it works perfect.

20. Nudging with arrow keys problem when in Picas

    OS X 14.5 Ill 2019 CC 23.0.3/23.0.4:
    This seems to be only happening when the Units are set to Picas:
    Using the arrow keys in the control panel to move an object "below" 0 does not function correctly. E.g.: If an object is at "0p0", hitting the down key moves it to "0p1" instead of "-0p1", then bounces back and forth to "0p0".
    This occurs for any value between "0p0" and "-1p0". If the starting point is less than "-1p0" then the down keys behaves properly, but if you nudge back UP to past "-1p0", then the value pops to the positive value "0p11".
