When using Export As SVG in 28.5 and 28.6, underscores get replaced with '_x5F_', unlike in 28.4 and earlier
When exporting to .svg, '_x5F' text is added to one of the layers, which then changes the order that things are displayed.
I do not understand how this text is now added and would like to prevent it from happening.2 votes -
Unable to export to SVG using 'Export to Screens'
I cannot export as SVG using 'Export to Screens', I just get unable to export files error. Only way to do it is 'Save As' SVG and change to SVG 1.0 (1.1 doesn't work).

Export to SVG adding spurious characters to gtags from layer names which start with numbers
When exporting to svg if the layer name in Illustrator starts with a number when it comes out the other end as a gtag in the svg it is adding spurious characters. For example if a layer name starts with 0Yx it is coming out in the svg as _30Yx This then means that downstream where the application is expecting 0Yx it's not working as _30Yx is there instead. This has only started recently with the new version of Illustrator and the only work round is to close Illustrator 2024 and export using Illustrator 2023

Distorted curve line when saving an SVG
Hello, when we save from AI/EPS to SVG file, the 'f' edge path of the logo automatically becomes out of shape. We tried different colors and it works fine. This issue only happen on white SVG. Please help.
2 votesIncrease Decimal Places value in Export As / Save As (under More Options) to raise the precision. By default it’s too low, and if your graphics is rather small, it can cause problems like this.

Importing a PDF with only Spot RGB Colors inside treats the document as CMYK
I am exporting PDFs from an RGB file using 'Export for screens’ with a PDF Preset that converts to sRGB.
Any artboard that contains a ‘process’ RGB color (white, in my case) comes out as an RGB PDF file.
Any artboard that only contains Spot RGB colored elements is seen as a CMYK file when opened in Illustrator or imported in InDesign (which is my goal).My example file will export nicely until I hide the background layer to make my PDF transparent. Then the one with the (previously) white background becomes CMYK.

Latest version of illustrator (v29.1) does not export pngs with the same pixel placements as the one before.
Export from the new version of illustrator places artwork off center: Up and to the left slightly. This causes SO much work in our pipeline, please fix this urgently.

macOS 13.6.3
Illustrator ver.28.31.ILlustratorにて新規ドキュメントを作成
2.御存ダイアログを表示しクラウドドキュメントを選択。
3.新規フォルダをクリックし表示されるダイアログに日本語（ascii以外の文字を含む）で名前を付けて保存をクリック。
4.3で作成したフォルダ内に更にフォルダを作成するため、新規フォルダをクリックし表示されるダイアログに日本語（ascii以外の文字を含む）で名前を付けて保存をクリック。
5.4で作成したフォルダ内で保存をクリック
6.エラーダイアログが表示され保存できない。期待した結果
階層が深いディレクトリ構造でも正常にクラウドファイルが保存される。実際の結果
フォルダ構造が多重構造である状態でフォルダ名にマルチバイト文字が利用されていた場合、クラウドドキュメントを保存できない。フォルダ階層が２層以上で、かつフォルダ名称がマルチバイト文字を含む場合、クラウドドキュメントの保存が失敗します。
これはver.27.8以降で起きる問題です。ver.26以前のIllustratorでは正常に保存可能です。
手元のテストではハイアスキーやルーン文字では保存できるがキリル文字はダメなど全てのマルチバイトがだめだというわけではありませんでした。以下のコミュニティスレッドをご参照ください。

クラッシュ多過ぎ仕事にならない。
2025にしてから、頻繁にクラッシュするようになり、おっかなくって仕事になりません。かならず強制終了してしまうので、2024を再度インストールして使ってみましたが、こちらまでクラッシュするようになり八方塞がりです。生成AIばっかり注力せずに、まともなアプリに戻してください。

画像が粗くなる
A4見開き、A3のアートボードを10個1ファイルで作成したデータをPDFを含んで保存してIndesignに貼り付けA4・20ページでPDF書き出ししたところ一部の画像が何故か粗くなってしまいました。
アートボードを分割して保存すれば大丈夫でしたがいまいち原因がわかりません。
また以前に同じ作業をしましたがその時はアートボードを分割しなくとも大丈夫でした。
今回このようなことが起きた詳しい原因が知りたいです。1 vote -
Somem objetos em branco na hora de exportar/imprimir
Estou há meses enfrentando este problema com o Illustrator. Objetos em branco, sejam eles icones ou textos estavam sumindo na hora que eu convertia para jpg e outros formatos de imagem e na hora que enviada o arquivo para a impressora. Comecei a analisar atalhos por meses para identificar qual era o problema e como conseguiria resolver, visto que isso ocasionava em atrasos nas minhas entregas de artes. Exported image changes part of its name to the older artboard’s name
When renaming artboards prior to export to PNG, the first artboard name change applies but in export its name appears old (as it was before renaming). And it only affects 1 artboard.

Illustrator 2025 file content missing when made in illustrator 2024
When opening a .ai file made in illustrator 2024 into illustrator 2025 all contents seem to be missing, file can be reopened in illustrator 2024 displaying all editable content, however.

Layers get messed up when exporting
Export JPG and PNG, the layers messed up, the hidden layers show up, and the layers on top showed being covered by the objects from the layers down.

Sequoia 15.1 (24B83) 29.1 doesn’t export type with stroke applied
Illustrator doesn't export stroke applied to a text element, it shows without the stroke. It only worked when stroke is outlined. Does anyone knows a way to fix it?

App crashes right after saving a file
New v. 29, the King of Crashes
Steps taken: I restart the app. (ignore the request to restart from the crash manager, somehow, that will cause another crash soon after)
Crashes usually happen right when the app is done saving a file.
This is probably the version that crashes most often in a VERY long time of using AI.2 votes -
Variation in exported image size based on coordinate position when using Asset Export
I think I'm seeing a bug in the size of an exported image when using Asset Export for Illustrator v27.5 on Windows 10 22H2 19045.3803. Here's what I've done and the result I'm seeing:
- Create a new empty document, I used an artboard size of 60" x 36" with coordinates (0", 0")
- Add a square to Layer 1 sized to 5" x 5" with a position of (10", 10")
- Create a new layer, Layer 2
- Add another square to Layer 2 sized to 5" x 5" with a position of (30.5", 20.5")
