  1. Fonts will not allow me to print

    using Illustrator 22.1 after upgrading to the newest version I can not print. I get the error can't print illustration. If I convert the type to outlines it will print.

    How can I get it to print.

  2. Ilustrator Crashes when printing to laser cutter.

    Hello,
    I typically use illustrator to print to our Epilog Mini Helix 24" Laser Cutter/Engraver. When printing, you go into setup, select the laser, then go into it's preferences to configure laser-specific settings. When you hit "Print" it sends the files to software provided by Epilog: Job Manager.

    This is an annoyingly repeatable problem, as I am not able to laser cut anything from Illustrator. It crashes every time.

    However, in the past couple days this has suddenly stopped working. No matter what file I try to send to the job manager, the whole program crashes when I hit "Print."…

  3. Can't Print Illustration

    Illustrator refuses to print even small 8.5 x 11 files to our desktop printer. This is an essential part of this program and severely impacts my ability to design and create production files when I cannot print out a simple proof without exporting it to a PDF before Printing.

  4. Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and Roland Cutstudio Plug-In Issue

    Hi all,

    I'm having great difficulties with Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and using the Roland Cutstudio Plug-In on both Windows 7 64-bit and Mac OS Sierra 10.13.2.

    I have tried to install it both with the Adobe Creative Cloud HTML and also with Anistasy's Extension Manager. While the extension does appear, when I click on Print to Output I receive this message:

    Cutstudio is not found. If cutstudio is not installed, please install it. If cutstudio has never run, please run it. Then restart Adobe Illustrator.

    This error message only appears on the Windows 7 PC, I can confirm drivers…

    Please contact Cutstudio support and check for compatibility with Illustrator version. Additionally, CC 2017 was not supported on 10.13 and we have fixed lot of compatibility issues with CC 2018

  5. printing ppd changes

    I go to print a file. Select my printer preset.
    I get the error
    "The specified PPD is invalid. The default PPD will be used."
    I hit OK.
    Print window pops back up
    I manually select the printer. Hit print. I get another error that says" can't print file"
    I hit OK
    File -print again.
    I manually select the printer and the ppd to match.
    Make sure everything else. Size, placement of the file are okay. Hit Print. Then it will print.

    I tried resaving my preset, but this has not changed the issue.

  6. Some files (not all) print in a mirror image

    Random files will print in a mirror image. I have checked settings in my printer and it is not there. This started happening when I updated Illustrator 2 days ago

  7. Lines under 1pt render thick in PDF

    In Illustrator, lines thinner than 1pt end up rendering a mess (thick, out of alignment) when viewed in PDF. This is fixed in the viewer by un-checking "Enhance Thin Lines", but it is unreasonable to ask every client of a designer to update that setting. Furthermore it's impossible to un-check this setting, for example on the Vistaprint website where the PDF preview of an AI file is used as the product proof.

  8. Media size setting of print dialog returns to default settings on changing color via swatches (or apply arrowhead via strokes)

    Any operating system (happens on both Windows and Mac)
    Illustrator Version 22.x or 21.x

    Change "media size" in print setting from "Defined by Driver" to any paper.
    Finish the print dialog ("Done" click).
    Select from the color book with Swatches panel, or set the arrow with the Stroke panel.
    When returning to the print setting again, the media size returns to "Defined by Driver".

    Does not occur before Version 20 (CC 2015.5).

    Possibility to occur when using settings that refer to another Illustrator file.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  10. CC 2018 Multiply Blend Mode Incorrect

    CC 2018 & Mac Sierra

    If you apply multiply blend mode to a path, group that and apply multiply again at the group level, you now get 2x multiply. This is wrong whether you look at this from a process ink or spot color printing.

    Omg the uploaded example, I am expecting both left and right sides to be identical to each other, as in versions prior to CC2018.

    We could reproduce this issue at our end, following are the findings

    1. This issue is reproducible in CPU, GPU Rendering and Print Preview(thumbnail).
    2. Reproducible in older versions as well including Illustrator CS6 (not a new break in CC 2018)
    3. Works fine in Overprint Preview
    4. Works fine in Print & PDF

    Please confirm above observation match with the problem reported in this issue

  11. All printer functions bugged

    Printing no longer works at all in Illustrator v22.0.0. Printing to our HP DesignJet 1100PS fails to pickup color representations as well as alignment. Additionally, printing to a laser cutter driver fails to render thin lines properly. Both of these functions work if exported to PDF, then printed from outside of Illustrator

  12. some objects wont print

    I am running illustrator CC 2018 on windows 8.1
    When I print certain files certain objects will not print. I have attached an example of the result. When I print black and white it works. Another person in our company with the same update and similar computer is able to print with no problem. I was printing the same file fine before I updated to the 2018 version two days ago.

  13. Print menu resets to default when loading Pantone colour book

    Bug - Print menu resets to default when selecting a Pantone colour from any book
    This in turn causes print tiling, page size etc. to disappear. Then have to return to print dialogue and set everything back to A3, page tiling etc.

    Been persisting with this bug for over 6 months, very annoying.

  14. Printing to PDF = Can't print the illustration. File I/O error has occurred while it's printing

    Adobe Ilustrator CC 2017.1.0 Release

    I have a 93in x 117in artboard which I am trying to print to PDF. I go to File > Print and choose "Adobe PDF" as printer. Illustrator starts saving the file then prompts me to say, "Can't print the illustration. File I/O error has occured while it's printing."
