  1. Impossible to apply graphic style to text background by moment

    I use lot of graphic style in my work, and I've to use it on text bloc (to create map mind per example)

    But sometimes, the style (or the color directly) doesn't work on the background (selected with the white arrow). The color appears in the properties but nothing happen… I have to create a new bloc and It works normally (or not sometimes)… I really think it's a bug it will be very nice to correct it because I often use this trick in my work!

    I use 24.0.2 on mac OSX Mojave

  2. Text will not change fill colour to what has been selected

    WIndows 10, Illustrator 23.0.3: After selecting text, I try to change the fill colour either using the eyedropper tool or the swatches panel. I expect the text to change to that colour. However, while the colour window shows the colour has been changed, the text doesn't actually change colour. I have to outline the text in order to get it to change colour.

    Hi Melina ,

    Thanks for reporting this issue, Illustrator team really appreciate this.
    As per attached screen shot , for the selected Text object your fill is below the Characters in appearance panel.
    Can you kindly move the Fill above the characters and change fill. This will hopefully resolve your problem.
    In order to identify the root cause , can you kindly provide us eyedropper setting snapshot ,you can find eyedropper settings by double click on eyedropper tool .

  3. Swatches not naming properly vs document color mode

    I create my document in CMYK but when I open my swatches the first time (I have done no copying or pasting into the document or anything to mess with any color settings), they are CMYK blends with RGB names. Why is it doing that and what can I do to fix it?

  4. Properties panel auto select field contents

    Illustrator v24.0
    Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

    Since the Properties panel was introduced in Illustrator, it won't allow selecting an item, then click once on a field name, such as W for the width field, and automatically select the contents of the field so you can then just enter a new value or use the arrow keys to change the value.

    It works fine in the Control bar and other panels, just not in Properties.
    It works in the Properties panels of InDesign and Photoshop, as well.
    Was hoping it would be fixed in Illustrator 2020, but still not.

  5. Adobe Draw not sending AI to Illustrator CC 2020

    1. Windows 10 HOME / Adobe Illustrator 24.0.2 (64-bit)
    2. I logged out on every device from Adobe Creative Cloud and made sure I have up-to-date Adobe Draw on my Samsung S6 Tab as well as the up-to-date Illustrator on my Desktop PC. I am trying to send several projects from my tablet to Illustrator and they all say "Sent to Illustrator" but nothing happens on my Desktop. I have checked other articles that people posted and I have also tried to close the application, restart the computer/tablet, open them at different times, nothing is working. I have also checked Mobile Creations…

  6. Drag and Drop image from Illustrator HTML5 extension to server/Desktop is not working on MAC OSX

    Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.3, Mac OS 10.14.6(Mojave)

    Step To Reproduce issue:

    1) create one HTML5 extension.

    2) Display images on extension(you can display images from you local disk with html tag <img>)

    3) try to drag & drop image from extension to Browser/desktop(on browser you can use google image search dropbox).

    Expected Result : Image should be dropped at google image search/desktop(In html cep cookbook clearly mentioned that drag & drop between extension and browser/desktop supported).

    Current Result : Image is not getting dropped.

    Note: same use case is working fine on windows os

  7. Disappearing layers

    I have had this same issue now twice. I saved a file as a PDF and chose smallest file size. when i look at the file no errors, but when sent to someone else layers disappear, i have now also had layers disappear after saving as a jpg for web. i have not changed any layer settings or save settings and this problem only started occurring yesterday.

  8. Unable to apply gradient on Rectangle Box

    Hi,
    I am unable to apply a gradient color for my rectangle box when I use the Fill tool, I tried changing to a solid color to see if the problem lies with only the gradient, but i isn't setting a color at all.

    Could you please solve this bug issue as soon as possible as I am using Illustrator 2020.

  9. Illustrator 2019- always making a selection

    When I want to use the application, illustrator decides it wants to draw a selection. If I reach out of the workspace to use the toolbars or panels, it will draw a selection from on the artboard to my cursor, as if I were clicking and dragging. If I click back onto the artboard to disengage the selection and try to use the panels, it will make a new selection from the point I clicked. This renders the program unusable. There is also a lot of lag when navigating menus, and the cursor will decide to stick to the scrollbars…

  10. 2020 .AI documents only opening .PDF pages in Illustrator CC

    I am using Illustrator 2020 on my personal laptop, saving work to my iCloud to continue working on the files in university.
    Recently the files will only open as a .pdf (giving options for pages and not showing all the information) on the university Illustrator CC.

    I could in theory Save as- Illustrator CC and presumably that would open okay, but it's annoying to have to do that every time!

  11. BRING BACK FUNCTIONALITY OF ACTIONS

    As we all know all too well, the "engineering team" adds to and removes features from AI, apparently completely without considering its effective use or convenience.

    Their latest trick: many operations won't record automatically anymore in Actions going from v23 to v24. Please bring that back.

    Functions not recorded anymore so far:

    – Create text frame
    – Cmd/ctrl-0 Fit Artboard in Window
    – Save As (including location, file type eg PDF and its settings)
    – Close

    I you find more please add them to the list.

    I'm getting so tired of this ignorant behaviour!

  12. Crashes while Saving larger files

    My illustrator crashes my 2019 iMac every. single. time. I try to save large files I haven't had issues with in the past (1 month ago!). I have the most updated version of IOS as well as Illustrator. I'm very frustrated!

  14. Gradient, colouring and effect-error

    The operations weren't particularly complex, a shape won't change fill between gradient, colour or even empty. The appearance panel is empty, and still there's no possible to change or remove the fill. I tried adding a gaussian blur, after which the entire figure disappeared. I thought it might be a preview issue so I exported it, but it was gone there as well. I attach a screenshot. Right before it happened I tried adding a complex clipping mask (but undid it).

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.1.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  17. Epson P800 Film Continuous Feed Issue

    When sending files to our Epson SC P800 using Ai 24.0.3 the printer continuously feed rolled film media until printing is cancelled at the printer instead of printing the file. The same file will print successfully when using InDesign 15.0.1 and Illustrator 23.1.1, but not Illustrator 2020 (24.0.3)

    System:
    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
    Mac OS Catalina (10.15.3)
    Processor 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

    Printer:
    Epson SureColor P800
    using 13" DarkStar Film media (roll)

    Software:
    Ai 24.0.3
    AccuRIP Black Pearl-SE 1.5.51 (issue occurs with and without software active)

  18. Problem with elements' IDs when export to SVG

    Sometimes when I export an AI file with some elements' names to an SVG file, it renames the IDs like if there are some duplicates.

    Usually I can fix it by renaming the "duplicate" elements with a dummy name and then rename them back, but often it doesn't work and I have to delete the file and work on a new one, copying and pasting only the "safe" elements and redrawing the "duplicate" ones.

    Sometimes it appends a special character on the IDs and when it happen I always have to work on a new file.

  19. Keyboard arrow not working in reflect panel

    The down arrow works but the up arrow on the keyboard does not. Works fine in all other aspects using Illustrator, just the reflect panel is having issues.

  20. Image embed option in SVG options does not work

    Environment:
    OS: Windows 10 Home
    Illustrator Version 23.0.3 (64 bit)

    Recreating the bug:
    1. Create some Illustrator artwork with a linked image (.jpg, .png, etc).
    2. Export an SVG through File > Export > Export As...
    3. Select the Image > Embed option.

    The resulting SVG does not contain the image. This was an issue introduced with Illustrator 2019, the 2018 version worked fine. Right now I'm embedding the image into the AI file itself as a workaround and then exporting it using the same method since that embeds the image into the SVG, but it would be nice if…
