1. ruler 45° angle are not a straight line when zoom in, artefacts while moving cursor over it

   If you place a ruler(line), rotate it 45° and zoom in, the line is not a straight line. You can see a stair effect.

   Moving over it with the cursor, makes artefacts on repaint.

   A 45° line from top-left to bottom-right should be always drawn as 1px right and 1px down.

   I think the math-lib in the background of illustrator is written with a very very poor quality, so that this in trues is a rounding problem from float to integer.

2. grouped objects don't snap to corners most of the time

   If you have shapes in a group, it's very very hard, to place it with the group corner in the page corner.

   You except that it will snap with the top-left corner of the group to the top-left corner of the page (position 0,0), but very often you can't. And when you think AI did it, it's not exactly at 0,0.

3. Document Info units do not match Document Setup units

   Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
   Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).
   This is a regression, it did not happen in Illustration 2019.

5. Export Save for Web resize by percentage does not work as it should

   File>Export>Save for web> - When you change the size percentage, the new width and height number appear. The preview of the image does not change to reflect the new size. The resulting saved image does not reflect the new size. Only workaround is if you slowly click on width and height numbers, wait for the preview of the image to display the new size, and then click save. This has been a problem with all versions of Illustrator that I can remember. This happens on both Mac and PC, on all of the OS versions that I have been able to test on.

6. White

   In. my company we can print the color White as a spot color. Our printer reacts on the name of the color "White".

   Until a while ago it was no problem to add a White color swatch to Illustrator.
   Now I get an error (see image).

   I don't know why it worked before and doesn't anymore.
   May be it's possible to make Illustrator work like Indesign and change the name of the original white-swatch to Paper?
   My problem would be solved :)

8. Symbol mangling when exporting into svg

   I see an incorrect result when exporting into SVG through File -> Export -> Export As... -> save as SVG. I have two gradient filled rectangles presented as symbols (see .ai inside the attached .zip), one is blue gradient and the other is gray gradient. When export into svg, the resulting image shows both rectangles filled with gray gradient (see .svg inside the .zip).

   It looks like AI thinks both symbols are visually the same an merges them into a single symbol. If i use solid colors, this doesn't happen.

   As for SVG options see 'svg_options.png' inside the .zip.

   Check 'system_info.txt' inside the .zip for system info.

   NOTE: Change the attached file's extension to .zip to extract the related files.

   You can have this field shown with Show Find Field option in a panel flyout menu. This works for Swatches and Pantone libraries and any other swatches library.

10. Reflect Tool options order is incorrect

    When using the Reflect Tool's panel (pressing enter), pressing the "Up" and "Down" keys on the keyboard recognizes the order to be
    1. Vertical
    2. Angle
    3. Horizontal

    which doesn't match the UI.

12. Drawing with percentage opacity fills: Percentage will not stay selected for each new element.

    AI CC 2020 (Apple Mac): I have noticed a bug - a serious one that stops me from working. If I make a shape with a fill of (for example) 30% I would expect the next shape to retain that percentage of fill - which it always has done (I'm a very experienced user of Illustrator and use this feature all the time). Now I find that each new shape reverts to 100% fill which is totally unworkable as I draw by building up layer upon layer of opacity fills. The advisor online checked with his versions of AI CC 2020 and found the same issue - which is really strange. My old CS5 on an older Mac works absolutely perfectly. Please look into this and advise. Perhaps is a preference or setting that need checking somewhere - but I can't find it! Thanks

13. Multiple PDF Importing - Artwork size changes

    There is an ongoing long time problem we have occasionally encounter. When we have to import multiple PDF's onto artboards for adding adding cutter marks for printing as soon as you save and close file then reopen it you can see the linked PDF's artwork sizes change. It seems to be relinking to the files and using the bleed size and then reverting to the media size. Has caught us out a few times. It's fine if we import infdividual PDF's.

14. Glitch in outlining a dotted stroke

    macOS Catalina 10.15.1 Illustrator 2020

    I made a line, applied dashed line, adjusted gap(2,4) and dash(0,01) to make it look like dots and outlined. Random dots have been cut in half after outlining.
    It never happened to me before.

15. Gradient Annotator tool bug on Groups

    Gradient Annotator tool is not visible for some objects but it is for others. See screen shot: visible on the rectangle, but when I edit the gradient of the compound shape, the annotator is not visible.

16. Discretionary hyphens do not seem to work

    I can’t get discretionary hyphens to work in Illustrator CC 23.0.2, either by Shift-command -- or with Type > Insert Special Character > Hyphens and Dashes > Discretionary Hyphen. Whether Hyphenate is turned on or off for the paragraph does not matter. Language does not seem to make a difference either.
    Only the hyphens added by Illustrator itself are obeyed.

17. Changing font in glyphs crashes program

    Occasionally I'll be searching through my fonts for a decorative character icon. If I change the font at the bottom of the glyphs window I'm likely to hang my software. I suspect that it happens when the character I have selected is not available in the font I am switching to.

19. Font Sample Halt

    I'm frustrated that as I run down my list of fonts testing them on a specimen of type that the font scroll halts for no apparent reason, forcing me to use the down arrow and manually select the font I want to try the specimen on.

    I found that you can expand a pie chart by making the chart, then taking the scissors tool and clicking on the points, then you can edit each slice!
