Selection tool won't grab lines
Selection tool won't grab and move lines without extreme effort. Simple click and move isn't working in solid and hollow pointers. I have to drag a selection across the line or lasso the line to highlight it but then it still won't let me do a simple click-drag. It's like the line is locked down but nothing is locked. I'm running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and Illustrator 23.0. I've tried multiple settings of selection tolerance in preferences and it hasn't made any difference. Blue background lines on Illustrator 2020
Hello,
I'm having an issue with illustrator 2020. When i start working sometimes the background of a file stars having some blue lines covering all of the canvas. horizontally and vertically.
I'm using the latest release of Mac OSX Catalina on an Imac 2019.

Ctrl+Tab does not work when Caps Lock is on
When Caps Lock is on, the Ctrl+Tab shortcut for switching document windows does not work.
When Caps Lock is off, the Ctrl+Tab shortcut works normally.
I believe that this is not intentional behavior.
All the computers in my studio are experiencing this problem, resetting preferences does not help.Windows 10 64bit (this problem was also present on Windows 8.1 64bit and older versions of Illustrator)

Google Backup and Sync (aka Google Drive) locks Illustrator files and saving fails unless I quit Backup and Sync.
This happens intermittently but frequently. Google support assures me this is not caused by them, though I don't believe it. Still, is there anything that can be done from Adobe's side?

still crashes...when i tried to print... there still is no fix to this annoying issue..
also crashes when you try to save or close a file.

Place Tiff with layer comps doesn't retain selected comps on save and reopen
Placing layered Tiffs with Layer Comps into Illustrator doesn't maintain the reference to those layer comps when reopening the file.
Steps:
1. Make PSD with layer comps and save as layered Tiff.
2. Place layered Tiff into Illustrator with "Show Layer Options" selected.
3. From "Tiff options" dialogue select "Layer Comps <dropdown select layer comp A>"
4. Also, select "When updating link: <dropdown select 'Keep layer visibility overrides'>"
4. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 selecting a different layer comp
5. Save and close file

Does 23.1.1. fix the abysmal performance on Mac or no?
Illustrators performance on Mac as been horrible for the last several versions, has this been fixed yet, or at least an update on why and when you expect to have it fixed?
We seriously need to have an intervention, you're making Illustrator practically unusable for your paying customers with these 'updates' that seemingly take several steps back each time.

UI bug occurring daily
Everyday after the most recent update I've been getting the bug where the user interface glitches as seen in the photo. The print dialog box also show completely blank until the mouse hovers over the buttons then only the button show up and the rest of the dialog box stays white.

New update on Illustrator 24.0.01 will not allow Print
AI 24.0.01 (64-bit) will not allow me to print to my network printer. Error window box generates with a Red Triangle with an exclamation mark, and message reads "Can't print the illustration."

Objects sliding when switching between outline and preview
Most of the times I'm working with quite simple graphics (preparing already existing logos and graphics for printing).
Sometimes when switching from preview to outline view, and back, I notice that some objects aren't where they are supposed to be. In outline view they are at their supposed position, but in preview they are somewhere else. It isn't a big problem when I notice it happening - the problem is when I don't and print it like that. saving as an svg file, the part that should be the path tag is output as an ellipse tag.
operating system
MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave- Draw an ellipse.
- Duplicate vertically.
- “Intersect” in the path finder.
- Save as svg file.
- When viewed with a web browser, the left and right sides are rounded. It should be sharp. I looked inside the svg file with a text editor, the part that should be the "path" tag is the "ellipse" tag.
Until Illustrator CC 2017, there is no problem because it is output with the "path" tag. Since Illustrator CC 2018 and later, it will be an "ellipse" tag, so the shape will be broken.

crash when saving on Illustrator 24.0.2 with PDF compatible option checked
The size of my work is large (around 2400 x 2400 mm), and every time I save with PDF compatible options checked the window turned white with (not responding) written on it. I even can't save my work properly. what's wrong with you guys.

AI unusable performance lag
As soon as I open a artboard or template I experience
5-10 Seconds UI lag for menus and toolsIf I close the artboard the menus are responsive

BUG? CC Color Library: Not Applied or Freezing
When I select an object and tried to color it from my CC library colrs - it doesn't apply to the shape/font - if I right click on a color in the CC library Panel, the panel freezes for a moment and disappears.

Character Panel Typing Font Names Manually Issue
When trying to type certain font names manually in the first field the placement of the letters jumps to the wrong spot.
When I type "Arial Bold", "Arial Regular", or "Cooper Black" the cursor or text placement seems to fail and not type the text in order from left to right. Multiple Users Open Same File and Overwrite Work
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
When I have a file open, my coworker can open the file and does not get notified that the file is already opened or locked. He can work in the file and save, and it overwrites my version. Then when I go to save, I get notified that the file was 'modified outside of Illustrator, do I want to continue?" If you click yes, it overwrites his work and his work is lost. Is this a bug that it does not indicate that the file is already open by another user?1 vote -
Help > Illustrator Help goes to marketing page
Selecting Illustrator Help from the Help menu no longer links to Illustrator information and search links, but goes to a generic CC marketing page. From there, there is no clear path, and it requires at least two more clicks, in addition to having to figure out which are the appropriate links to follow. This is not helpful, and takes time away from productive work.

Photoshop-styled background raster in Illustrator when typing text
In Illustrator 2020 there is a visual bug. When editing text there suddenly comes a pixel pattern (like the one when you use Photoshop and have no images). This happens out of the text frame. When zooming out or in, it goes away, but when I am typing again it comes back at unexpected moments in weird places.
There's further really nothing else. It's just weird to the eye and this feels like a bug important enough to report it. I somehow don't like to report bugs, but I do hope Adobe is aware of this issue. For the fixing…
