1. Excel graph conversation doesn't work on a Mac anymore

   When pasting an Excel graph into Illustrator, text is converted to rubbish on a Mac running OS High Sierra and the newest version of Illustrator.
   Also, when converting the Excel file to a PDF and opening it in Illustrator, the same thing happens. BUT, when opening the PDF in Acrobat, everything looks just fine.
   To make sure it wasn't an Excel bug I saved the file in an older version of Excel – that didn't solve the problem.
   I used the same Excel file on a PC and copied it into the Windows-version Illustrator, also converted the file to PDF and opened it in the Windows-version of Illustrator – and everything worked perfectly.
   The Excel file uses the Cambria font which I have installed on my Mac, I even tried changing the font to Arial just in case, but with no better result.
   What gives?

2. Legacy blur lost when pasting into a new document.

   An object with a legacy blur loses it's setting when copying and pasting into a new document. The blur is still listed in appearance, but there is no value and effectively no blur.

3. Screen Mode/Application positioning bug

   On Windows 10. Toggling the screen mode does produces UI rendering bugs. But also I am entirely unable to get back to a windowed view, or move the window by any means (either dragging or the menu option behind the logo)

4. Zoom Blur gets cutoff.

   At high amounts, the blur effect from zoom blur gets cut off (specifically with text, whether the text is rasterized or not. I haven't tested other shapes). It's related to the "add x amount of space around objects" setting (though no number actually fixes it. It is easy to see when you compare the effect in Illustrator to the effect in Photoshop.

   You guys really need to work on Illustrator's effect system. It's the one thing no other vector app has, but some things don't work or aren't effective because we have less control than we do in Photoshop.

   P.S. I also can't change the color of the Neon Glow effect in Effect Gallery.

5. Patern Maker's Numeric Scaling Is Broken

   I'm creating a step and repeat wall using 2 graphics.

   In a brick by column pattern, individual graphics can't be scaled using the menu dialog (Object>Transform>Scale).

   However, they can be scaled using the tool panel's scale tool (keyboard shortcut s).

   Entering precise scaling measurements that are supported in earlier versions of Illustrator would be appreciated!

6. Export as SVG: linked image gets deleted

   Hi All,
   I have an issue when exporting to SVG.
   I created an AI file with a linked jpg image as a background, and some text on top.
   When I export to SVG, the original jpg image gets deleted (I mean the original file, it disappears from Finder, it's not even in the recycle bin) and then Illustrator gives me the message "Some files are missing or modified in the links panel. Would you like to update them now?".
   So, the first time I export, the SVG is saved correctly but I lose the original image file, if I try to export again I get an SVG with no background image, because the link is broken.
   I tried to embed the image in the AI file before exporting. When I export the first time, same as before, SVG is correct but I lose the image file, even if it's embedded and not linked, this is very strange. If I try again without original image file, I get an SVG file with background image, but it's much bigger than before, like 400kb instead of 80kb. Comparing the 2 SVGs, I see in the code that the first one has the image embedded as jpg, and the second as png, don't know why.

7. Cannot place images. Just updated to latest version

   Totally fails to place any image.

   I have just updated, uninstalled and re-installed and updated my macbook to High Sierra.

8. Illustrator Crashes when Opening File on Second Monitor

   Illustrator is crashing when I open up the application on my second Monitor. But when I open it on my laptop it works. It will only work on my second monitor if I open it up on my laptop then drag to the second monitor. But if I want to open up another illustrator file it will crash again if I'm using the second monitor.

9. Pattern Tile Seam lines

   Can we please find a way to fix those tiny 0.5 px seam lines we ALL have had to deal with for years? The ones that you see when you zoom in or out at certain levels? The ones that don't apparently print? However, they for sure show up when importing patterns into Photoshop, so they aren't just imaginary. When building a Photoshop pattern that begins as a vector pattern, it becomes a nightmare having to meticulously clone them out. Please fix this if at all possible!

10. Local file saving and opening is extremely slow when connected to slow external server or VPN.

    LOCAL file saving and opening is extremely slow when connected to slow external server or VPN.

    Even though I only work on my local drive, opening or saving a simple document takes up to 2 minutes when I'm connected to a slow VPN connection server. Note: I don't open/save through the VPN, I only opens and saves from my local drive.

    The second I close the slow VPN connection, Illustrator works like normal and saves the same file in <3 seconds.

    So -- What is Illustrator doing accessing that VPN connection when everything it needs is on the local disk?

    This is not an issue with Photoshop and Indesign.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

11. Illustrator will not open a second file from Bridge, or In Design (edit original)

    ex. Starting with both Illustrator and Bridge closed. 1. I open Bridge. 2. I double-click an Illustrator file, it opens fine. 3. I go back to Bridge and double-click another illustrator file, and Illustrator will not open it. This file should open as a new file (tab) within Illustrator.
    This happens with "Edit in Original" from In Design also. It works the first time, (opens up Illustrator), but not a second time. I have to close Illustrator for this interoperability to work.

13. Gradient tool slider bug

    When I select a shape, or multiple shapes and add a gradient, ever since updating to CC 2019, I do not get an adjustment slider in the shape. Am I doing it wrong? Where did the slider go? Help!

14. Selecting pen lines (vectors) & anchor points is really hard after updating to newest version of CC 2019.

    I recently updated my OS to Sierra & with that my CC updated to 2019 23.0.2. Ever since, it takes several tries to select a line or an anchor point using the direct select or group select tool & to remove points using the Add/delete anchor tools. The scissors tool also can't seem to find the line to create a point either. It is extremely frustrating & slows down drawing a lot! It seems like the lines/points that we are looking at, are not in the same place code-wise maybe? Something is not lining up. PLEASE fix quickly!

    The home screen in my Adobe Illustrator is 'zoomed-in' and it's not the same size as other Adobe apps. I've attached a screen shot of Illustrator vs photoshop.

16. illustrator 23.0.3 crashes every I use eyedropper tool.

    crashes consistently using eyedropper tool.
    Mac Mojave operating system, ver 10.14.4
    IMAC pro 3.2 ghz processor intel xenon.

    point sample crashes every time
    3 point average crashes almost every time
    5 pt sample crashed after 3rd time using tool.

17. Mobile Adobe Draw open in Desktop App (AI) does not work

    Opening in Adobe Desktop Apps does not work in iOS Adobe Draw. There is the option to save as a PSD in cloud files, but NOT to save as an AI. Highly disappointing for tablet integration.

    Also, two finger gestures are slow and interpret commands poorly.

18. New update (23.0.1) shows Home screen instead of my actual file until I press F

    Most of the times, when I open an AI file I can't see my actual artboard until I press F (Toggle Screen Mode). Once I switch the screen mode it shows a weird red color in the artboard (too fast to capture).

    Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. We have fixed similar issue in 23.0.3,
    Can you please upgrade to 23.0.3 and let us know if your problem is resolved or not?

19. Layers Panel Glitch

    After upgrading to Mojave OS on a mac the layers panel glitches or flashes each time I click / draw on an art board or area outside an art board.

    It also happens when I manipulate the layers panel in any way, toggling visibility, opening or closing layer groups or any other operation.

    This flashing is irritating and takes my eye from the work.

    Attempted fixes

    Resetting preferences
    Adjusting GPU performance
    Turning of animated zoom
    Uninstalling illustrator
    Updating everything

    Illustrator version 22 is not supported on macOS 10.14 (Mojave).
    Please upgrade to version 23 and see if it resolves, elase please contact our support.

20. Multiple crashes daily

    The current version of Illustrator is absolutely useless. Does Adobe bother testing their own product for bugs? I experience multiple crashes daily at my job, when all I have open is one file. Something as simple as deleting a square will crash the program. It's infuriating.
