1. Color change Problems

   I have a collection of swatch colors that I save, and for some reason, they are all getting dull. A bright orange to darker gradient turns to a muddy orange and all of the swatches are dull. I copy the logo from an older file and realize how dull my colors have become. You can see how dull the colors have become in the attached image. Also, the Graphic Styles have become duller. You can see the new refreshed colors form a different file with the two swatches at the middle bottom of the Graphic Styles window. This is a VERY serious problem, because all of the colors on my artboard have switched to these duller colors, so I have to update them to the original. Not sure why this is happening, but it needs to be fixed.

   Also, is there a way you can make a global gradient change an option that you have to choose to do, because it's changing gradients that I don't want changed. Both of these problems are VERY FRUSTRATING and waste my time.

2. Illustrator won't open

   1) OSX 10.4.3
   2) Illustrator 23.0.2
   3) Open application
   4) Bounces twice in dock, then dies with no error.

   Tried opening the application using Finder window, dock icon, Cloud menu, clicking a file - nothing works. It tries to open application and quits with no error. Tried restart. Nada.

   Machine is iMac with 32g ram, plenty of disc space. No issues with any of the other CC applications.

4. "Apply gradient across stroke" shows terrible banding compared to a standard linear gradient

   When applying a gradient to a stroke with the "apply gradient across stroke" option selected, the resulting gradient is very poor quality, with lots of visible banding.

   In the attached image the top gradient is formed by feathering a rectangle with corner radius of 31.235 px by 20px. The quality is fine, although feathering makes specifying specific colours a hassle.

   The middle object is the same rectangle with a 40pt stroke, with a white-to-black gradient applied with "apply gradient across stroke" selected. The gradient is very uneven, showing clear banding.

   The bottom is a the same linear gradient applied as a fill over a 40px-tall rectangle. Its gradient is smooth without visible banding.

   The document is in RGB colour mode and all the colours in the document are specified as RGB black (#000000) or white (#FFFFFF). The screenshot is taken at 100% with pixel preview disabled. Enabling pixel preview makes the gradient quality even worse (see the second attachment).

   I would expect stroke gradients to look equally high quality as conventional gradients or as gradients formed by stacking a feathered shape over a background.

5. Snap to point is not precise

   Snap to point is always pixels off, so "joining" doesn't work. Pen tool also won't connect to an anchor and will also be pixels off. Snap to point is turned on. Can't join points of lines and shapes to one another to make complete shape.

   If you are still having problems with this, please provide a test file and a small video showing the exact workflow and the combination of options used. This would help to start investigation.

6. empty progress dialog

   BUG: Hitting save, switching to another application for a bit, and then coming back to Illustrator leaves a non-dismissable, persistent blank "Progress" dialog floating behind Illustrator's windows. These empty dialogs often stack up, and only ever go away by quitting the application.

   Expected: whatever dialog this is supposed to be clears itself up, cleans itself up, and puts itself away.

   Thanks for reporting the issue. We have tried the scenario and failed to reproduce it,it would be helpful if you could provide some more information-

   Is this happening on win 7 only?

   Have you tried cleaning the preferences and re launching the application?Does that solve the issue.

   Have you encountered this issue with the latest Illustrator build?

7. Undo command and Hide

   Undo command ignores whether or not objects are hidden. Rather, Undo command does not undo hide/unhide, so hidden objects are moved or modified, depending on what is being undone, while hidden.

8. Illustrator CC 2019 won't embed fonts in PDFs

   I'm trying to save my Illustrator file as a pdf but it's not saving (embedding) the fonts along with the pdf when I do so. However, if I open that same file in Illustrator CC 2018 or 2017 I can save out a pdf with the fonts embedded just fine.

   Note: this happens whether or not I get the message "The preset specifies that some of the fonts are not embedded. This application always embeds fonts." in the Summary section of the Save Adobe PDF dialog box.

   I'm using Illustrator CC 2019 on a Mac Pro running MacOS 10.13.6.

10. An unknown error has occured. Receiving message when opening ai and/or pdf files. CC 2019

    1. I'm working on iMac17,1 with 13.2GHz using illustrator CC 2019

    2. Whether opening a file from finder folder through the program, via file > open I am receiving the same message when opening ai and/or pdf files: " An unknown error has occured. "

    3. This is all of a sudden. I expected the files to open like they normally would, unless it was a corrupt file from a client.

    4. I receive: " An unknown error has occured. "

    I uninstalled and re-installed CC 2019 with no changes.

11. Problems with Illustrator crashing when printing ink separations as a PDF

    I'm having problems with Illustrator crashing when printing ink separations as a PDF. I didn't have the issue before, but now I am. Thankfully I'm able to print my separations to the RIP just fine, so work can progress. However when I try to print separations as a PDF to look them over before sending to the rip, the program freezes and eventually crashes. Does anyone know why this happens and how it can be resolved?

12. "Current proportions" option missing from Illustrator CC 2019

    LEFT (Screenshot from a tutorial): The "Current proportions" option is visible under Artboard Options window.
    RIGHT (Screenshot from my desktop): The "Current proportions" is missing.

13. Illustrator stops, not responding

    Operating system is Windows 7 Enterprise, Illustrator is CC 2018 or 2019. I begin to work for only 15 sec and then the program pauses with the blue spinning wheel. If I click again the screen shows a (not responding) title at the top and goes grey. This process takes another 15 sec and then snaps back into place and works again, but only for another 15 sec and repeats. I've opened and closed the program several times and also restarted the computer but no change. This only happens in Illustrator and no other CC programs I use. Any ideas would greatly help. Thanks

14. General Bugs in Graph Tool

    Computer: Dell, Intel i7, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro
    Illustrator Version: CC 2019, german

    The Graph tool needs many bugfixes.
    1. when trying to enlarge the data window or some of the columns in it, sometimes the cursor switches so that you see you can now pull the line between two colums and enlargen the column. Sometimes it doesn't (see jpg).
    2. When trying to insert a line break in one of the text lines in a chart (by inserting the vertical line glyph by copy&paste), german Umlauts are changed into strange glyps (see jpg)
    3. When changing some data (numbers, words etc.) in an existing graph that uses grafic styles (for lines, bars etc.), some items lose the grafic style and turn back to black or to invisible (see jpg). Some of the items or values (like 0-10-20-30% for example) change position and "jump" to other lower or higher positions, some keep their position. (see jpg)
    4. when changing the size of a chart with formatted text, the text has to be re-formatted after resizing the chart which is logical, but nonetheless uncomfortable to work with.
    5. Last but not least (well, not really a bug, but..) why is there no possibility to integrate the data-values into the charts? (Without working with graph designs - which is far too complicated and uncomfortable, I think) . For example, you have two columns, one with 25% , one with 50%. Why can't you just integrate the written value "25%" in the graph? (jpg)

15. Mysterious Panel on Startup

    Running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G5019), and Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.2
    On startup I expect to have the last used workspace but I get this seemingly empty UI panel.

16. No display of document when opened in ADOBE.

    Document does not display when I scan to computer and then open it. However, when I've attached to an email, I can open and view it. I have a Lenovo, so its not just a MAC issue

17. AI 2019 is not using Intel UHD 630 for HW acceleration

    We are using AI 2019 or multiple devices, two of them are Mac Mini 2018s with intel 6-core core i5/i7 and UHD 630. One of them has eGPU RX 580 8GB. While AI recognizes GPUs on both Minis, it shows UHD 630 on the one without eGPU and RX 580 on the one with eGPU, it does not seem to use the UHD 630. I tried to use multiple kinds of hardware monitoring software, but the UHD 630 is not being used at all and the performance is terrible. While RX 580 on the other mac is heavily utilized, often to 100% and performance is good. I do not expect the UHD 630 to compete with RX 580, but it seems that it isn't utilized at all.

18. On windows, illustrator freeze when launching the app.

    When launching the app or opening a file the application freeze all my computer, I can’t move the mouse or use keyboard.
    I’m running Windows 10 and did nothing peculiar, it was working just fine few days ago.

19. Color Gray printing as brown when saving from Illustrator CC v23.0.2 to CS4

    MacOS Mojave v10.14.4 & Illustrator CC v23.0.2
    When saving a file from Illustrator CC v23.0.2 to CS4 the gray colors print as brown but if I save the file as the current Illustrator CC v23.0.2 it prints as gray as it should. It is a CMYK document with only K values. Discovered this from printing an older document created 08/2019 then printing the new document. The old document was also saved from the version at that date to CS4 but the new document saving to CS4 printed as brown not gray.

20. Rasterize - Preserve Spot Color Bug

    When rastering complex designs for print output, the default is "preserve spot color". I rasterize images and print a pdf file for use in rip software. If I leave "preserve spot color" selected I get a pdf file that is blank, if I turn it off and rasterize, I get the correct PDF file. This is new, as I have been doing this for many years now with no issues. I do believe in the past that check box has been left unchecked by default, but remains sticky.
