1. Adobe Fonts won’t load in Creative Cloud Desktop app

2. Pasting text from Microsoft Office does not work on Mac but works on PC

   This has been an issue for quite a while on many different machines Mac OS version, and Illustrator versions over the years and is consistent. When copying text or vectors containing text like graphs from a Microsoft Office app like Excel, PowerPoint, or Word. Then pasting into Illustrator, the graphics and vectors are correct but the text is illegible in that it is corrupted in some way so it looks like symbols.

   I know it works on Windows as this is my usual workaround in the past, but my main machine is a Mac and this is a very annoying workflow.

3. 文字が消える時がある。

4. Superscript number bug

5. Slanted instances are not properly sorted

   When a variable font has ***** axis and right leaning instances (common oblique styles) the Oblique instances gets sorted before the Romans on the font menu dropdown. See attachment.

   According to the OT spec, right leaning instances must use negative values, so I‘m guessing Adobe’s font menu is sorting instances by slnt coordinates in ascending direction when it should be in the other direction.

   This is not only bad and uncommon for users but is also pushing font developers to make fonts against the spec just to circunvent this situation. Plase fix.

   Note. All the fonts tested have proper STAT tables and axes ordering is correct.

6. All Text is not visible and Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large issue.

   I opened a project I was working on last week this morning and encountered this issue. All my text is not visible and I cannot move any text boxes without an error message coming up stating: Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large. I tried all the other solutions listed that could be found on Google and this forum. It happens for every project I open. I attached images of what I see and the error message.

8. Find and Replace text results in unwanted repeated characters

   Illustrator v 28.0
   Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1

   Using the Edit > Find and Replace... function to search for and remove text results in the first character after the removed text to be repeated. For example:

   Old text: Lorem Singapore / Lorem Hong Kong / Lorem Australia
   Find "Lorem " and replace with nothing
   Result: SSingapore / HHong Kong / AAustralia

9. Illustrator Freezes when trying to scroll fonts

   When text is highlighted, and I go to change the font and use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down, the program freezes indefinitely.

   No custom fonts installed.

   2021 Macbook Pro M1 running Sonoma MacOs 14.3.1 (23D60). No other applications open.

   I used the MacOs Screenshot App to record the bug in action. However - when recording my screen, the bug does NOT happen. I tested this multiple times. Talk about the observer effect...

10. テキストボックス内での強制改行

    Adobe Illustrator 28.1、OS13.6.3、OS11.7.10

    テキストボックスで均等配置（最終行左揃え）を使用。テキストにtabを挿入しsift + 改行 （強制改行）すると落ちます。
    別のmac（os11.7.100）でも検証しましたが落す。

11. Modifying paragraph / character style doesn't trigger the unsaved changes flag

    Illustrator doesn't prompt to save changes to paragraph styles if no other changes are made to a document.

    To reproduce:
    1. Create a document, add a paragraph style, save and close.
    2. Reopen document, modify the paragraph style, close document.

    Expected:
    At the end of step 2, when closing the document, Illustrator should ask if I want to save my changes, but it does not. After modifying the paragraph style, I can also see that the asterisk (*) does not appear next to the filename on the current tab, which normally indicates unsaved changes.

12. "Load paragraph styles" or "Load all styles" doesn't overwrite styles with same name

    I have a set of 9 template files that I need to update. Each file contains an identical set of about a dozen paragraph styles. I want to update all the paragraph styles in all of the files.
    I updated the styles in the first file (correctstyles.ai) and changed kerning from Auto to Optical. When I open the next file, (e.g. SHED-2023-5-simple-columns-narrow.ai), I use "Load Para Styles" and choose the first file (correctstyles.ai). When I check the style definitions, kerning is still set to Auto. The kerning value should have changed to Optical to match the style from the first file. That does not happen.
    I've also tried using "Load All Styles" and the result is the same. The styles that are loaded are not replacing the existing styles (all have the same names).
    Illustrator v. 27.9.1 on Win 10 Enterprise

    OS:
    Various Mac OS versions and hardware, including M2 Mac Studio and M3 MacBook Pro. Confirmed in screenshots on:
    Mac Sonoma 14.1

    ILLUSTRATOR VERSION:

    STEPS TAKEN:
    Opened file and clicked on text.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Selecting text should show leading in Character Panel.

    ACTUAL RESULTS:
    Leading field is blank in Character Panel.

    Leading (line spacing) is sometimes not shown in the Character Panel. The field is blank. This can occur when selecting many characters, which might be expected if different characters in the selection have different leading.

    BUT this also happens when a single character is selected, or the cursor is between characters (screenshots attached), in which case, only one leading value is possible (or should be).

    Undefined leading is a serious problem, and makes matching or checking leading very difficult in a production environment.

    OS:

14. フォントのアウトラインを取ると中が塗りつぶされる

    あるフォント（DFP中太丸ゴシック）の「管理部　部長」をアウトライン化すると「部」の文字の一部が塗りつぶされる。添付参照。
    他のフォントや文字では発生しない（自分が調べた限りです）
    現象はwindows版のイラレでのみおこり、同じファイルをMacのイラレで開いても起こりません。

15. Eyedropper DOES NOT CONSIDER COLOR EXCLUSION for TEXTS MULTICOLOR

    Eyedropper tool between two text boxes with mixed color letters. How to copy ONLY text attributes leaving the colors unchanged.
    Even by deselecting fill color and stroke color in the eyedropper detection and eyedropper application boxes, the color of the destination text becomes unique depending on which is pressed as the source and the letters do not remain colored differently.
    Please resolve!

16. Single line text temporarily breaks to two lines when being moved or adjusted

    This issue has been discussed in the Adobe Community forums, and other people have been able to replicate it.

    This is the current 28.1 version of Illustrator as of Dec. 21st 2023.

    If I have text that is close to the edge of the text box, and I try to make kerning between two characters tighter/smaller, Illustrator temporarily shows the text breaking into two lines, as if it won't fit on one, before readjusting to one line again. It's making it very difficult to fine-tune kerning, as I can't see the progress I'm making. The kerning information in the Character palette does reflect the changes being made.

    Steps taken: use keyboard keys to tighten kerning between two letters, when the text is close to the edges of its containing text box, also while moving said text box using keyboard arrow keys

    Expected result: Kerning visible tightens, text box moves as-is
    Actual result: The single line of text temporarily breaks into a two-line format while performing the action, then returns to single line

    I've also noticed this happens when the text box is selected and being moved via the arrow keys. A community expert has said it can happen clicking the font family in the character tools and other items that shouldn't affect them.

    Things that have not solved it:
    - Resetting preferences
    - Changing kerning from Auto to Optical, etc.
    - Changing Paragraph options from Adobe Single-Line Composer to Adobe Every-Line Composer, or vice versa (this can temporarily solve it for a few hours, then doesn't work again)

18. Paragraph Styles: Where has Paragaph Direction for Middle Eastern Version gone? (AI ME 2024)

    1. Mac OSX Monterey 12.6.8 (21G725)
       Mac Pro (Late 2013)

    2. Illustrator 2024 Middle Eastern Version (27.9)

    3. Problem is on Paragraph Style:
       While under General on the left column I can see under "Indents and Spacing" that my Paragraph Direction is set to "Right to Left", I can't find this definition where is should be, on the left column under "Indents and Spacing". It is missing.

    4. Paragraph Direction should appear under "Indents and Spacing" on the Paragraph Style options.

19. Pressing Backspace in text gets recorded in History as a chain of separate Clear steps

    When we type a text, Ai treats it as one operation, all the time.

    Even when we press Enter, the flow is considered to be uninterrupted — and there a bug report about this:

    This is not what InDesign and many other apps do!

20. Letter "N" symbol instead of hyphen when hyphenation is activated

    Hi,

    We have a problem with a certain file. After first auto activation of a font, the hyphen character is replaced by a "N". When we then close the file, not Illustrator, so fonts stay active and simply reopen the file, the hyphen is displayed correctly.

    We use Connect Fonts for fontmanagement, but apparently the problem is on the Adobe side (according to Extensis)

    OS: Windows 11 and MacOS Sonoma (latest version)
