  1. crash after windows update

    Every time since I installed the latest windows update (KB5407453, KB4509096) that I try to open or create a new file adobe illustrator crashes. The crash report is attached.

    From the looks of it it seems to be crashing with GPU. Here is what I can suggest
    1. TEST: Disable GPU from preference panel and then create a anew document to see if it still crashes
    2. FIX: Update GPU driver – each manufacturer will have a different way to get and install drivers. some help here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-gpu-performance-driver-update.html

    3. IF NOTHING WORKS: Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

  2. Static screen

    Can you fix the new update of adobe illistrator? I can't use it. Every time I try to create a new file it shows the lines of something similar to a static screen and I'm not able to use it for anything. I really need to be able to use this program for college.

  3. New document window sticks to single space when working in macOS

    When you start a new document, if you switch spaces in macOS Mojave, the new document window sticks to the original space it was opened in instead of following the user from space to space. This can lead one to think that Illustrator is frozen or stuck as the workspace is locked when the new document window is open. Double clicking Illustrator on the dock does not switch the user back to the space the new document window is in.

  4. Unstable CC 2019 in Mojave

    Illustrator CC 2019 on OSX Mojave is completely unstable.
    Ive been working on a few files today, Illustrator crashes within 3mins of working on a file and there is no recovery file, so basically I lose what I am working on. Im now saving every 30 sec anticipating a crash. At first I htought it was a font conflict, so I outlined all of hte fonts. Nope, still crashes. Next I will uninstall Illust CC19 and re-install.

  5. GPU start

    Hi there, here is my issue what i found.

    Create new file, start working - illustrator is little bit slow. In Preferencies i switch on GPU - everything works perfect. After work i close Illustrator app. Next launch I see the home screen but everytime if I want to open new file or file I was working on before Illustrator freeze and does not work.
    Only working solution for this issue is from home screen go to preferencies switch GPU of - open document - switch GPU ON and after that I can continue on my work.

  6. Illustrator 2019 Crashes on startup

    I've upgraded to the latest Illustrator (2019), but it crashes on startup. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but it still crashes. I've re-installed it with fresh preferences, e.g. not importing settings from the previous version and it still will not startup. The same thing is also happening to InCopy.??

    Luckily I did not remove the previous version.

    Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it??

    I'm running a MacPro (Late 2013), 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5, 32GB RAM, AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB, with macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

  9. Illustrator CC 2019 (v23.0.3) will not open files and immediately crashes when trying to do so.

    I've been trying to work on both .ai and .eps files in Illustrator but it won't open them. It just crashes immediately when trying to do so. Is this a common occurrence with this version? Is there a new update coming soon?

    This is an issue that is hindering work severely. I would appreciate anyone's insight on this.

  10. Illustrator 22.0.1 Crash on Startup when Signed In on Windows with a Microsoft account

    Adobe Illustrator version 22.0.1 (x32-bit) crashes on startup on any user profile logged in with a Microsoft account.

    It works fine on the PC across local user accounts, but as soon as the local account is converted to a profile linked to a Microsoft account, that's it. No more Illustrator.

  11. Very long loading splash screen after update 23.0.1

    After newest update 23.01 splash screen freeze on trying to initialise SmartEditUI.aip for few minutes (and crash if I try click on it at this time)

    This only happens at the first time start.

  12. v23.0.6 Freezing when opening file

    Frequently Illustrator has been freezing when attempting to open recently created Illustrator files. These files can be created or modified from any recent version of Illustrator (versions for 2018 and 2019), but only seem to freeze when opened with Illustrator v23.0.6. The files seemingly will open just fine on v23.0.4 or below (I did not test every version, but I can verify that v23.0.4 works and checked on 2 versions of v22.xx.xx). The freezing occurs irregardless of the computer's operating system (Windows or Mac). It doesn't freeze on all files—but I don't know what variables are causing it. The files…

  13. Illustrator CC v23.0.1 STILL not showing files that were opened by launching program

    This has been an issue that I've experienced for well over a year now and was reported to have been fixed with version 23.0.1, but I updated to that version several months ago and am still to this day experiencing this issue. If you don't already have Illustrator open and launch the program by double-clicking an AI file (or choosing "Edit in Adobe Illustrator" when right-clicking on a link in InDesign), the document in question does not appear to be open and additional attempts to open said file result in either nothing or a dialog box telling you the file…

  15. Illustrator crashes (hangs) when creating a new file on second monitor

    When creating a new file in Illustrator on my second monitor, the program hangs, and I have to force quit it.

    If I try to do the exact same operation on my main monitor, it works as expected.

    Pretty straight-forward operation to get to the problem, but if you need any further info, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

  16. Sign In / Sign Out -- Account info not saved

    Every time I turn off my computer and restart computer, I am somehow signed out of CC. So, every time I launch any program, in CC, I am asked to sign into my account every time. It will not remember me. This is very annoying.

  18. Opening and previewing files

    After launch, Illustrator appears to mix documents/archives. For instance, I have an .ai and a .jpg file. Each one's preview appears switched. When opened, both show the same object.

    Illustrator also shows an erros doing undo, often skipping several steps and reseting the document close to its previously saved/original version.

  19. v23.0 files won't open with v23.01 update, Unknown error occurring

    Can't open v23.0 ai files since the update to v23.01. The program doesn't even attempt to open, an error pops up saying "an unknown error has occurred"

  20. Illustrator CC 23.0.2 does not open files and cannot start new file. Toolbars and Menus are inaccessable.

    All I can see after opening or trying to open files is a window that is hiding parts of illustrator file - I can see part of this on the right side and on bottom. No menus or tools are available to use, and the progress wheel just keeps spinning. Very frustrating. I am using my Illustrator CC 23.0.2 on IMac OS 10.14.3. I have updated Illus CC, restarted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted computer, etc. I have had to resort to using Illus CS6 in order to work.
