1. Blank pop-up window appears after opening an .ai file

   Currently running:
   macOS Catalina v. 10.15.6
   iMac 27"
   3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
   32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Memory
   NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1GB Graphics card

   Everytime I open an .ai file a blank dialog box appears with nothing on it except for the close/minimize buttons on the top left. I'm able to close the box out and view my work but this happens every time I open a file. Also attached a screen shot as well as spindump of Adobe Illustrator.

2. Saving of files DISCARDED in certain conditions

   When I'm in the midlle of saving a file, (so while I get the progress percents next to the name of the file) if I press CTRL + SHIFT + S, it DISCARDS the saving of the .ai, no warning message as it previously did (something along the lines "The document "***" is currently getting saved. Try again after the process is complete") and proceeds with exporting the PDF, leaving me with an old version of the .ai file, and with a PDF that it's up to date.

3. Duplicate ai files while working

   I have to work remotely from a server at my job. For months now, Illustrator will create these strange duplicates of a file I work on, even if I haven't saved the file. There's no pattern to when these files are made, as I sometimes use a variable import script to btach multiple files at once, but not all files are duplicated. Please refer to the screen capture I includes.

   In that folder, there should only be 2 AI files, man and woman. But without my prompting, it created those duplicates, and they can't be deleted without rebooting your computer once or even twice because you receive an error message saying the files are in use....and they are not. So even if a reboot allows you to delete one, you may have to it again for the other.

   This is such a nuisance. I can't reboot 30 times a day just to delete unnecessary files from my company's server. What is causing the duplication and how the heck can it be stopped? It's maddening.

4. Spot color gaussian blur does not print out when printing separations to film

6. Preference settings for Type have changed

   Previous versions of Illustrator allowed me to set my preferences for type to this:

   Size/Leading = 0.5pts
   Baseline shift = 0.5pts

   But in Illustrator cc 2020 v24.2.2 it is no longer possible to do that. This is what I am getting:

   Size/Leading = 1pt
   Baseline shift = 1pt

   It seems like 1pt is now the lowest you can go.
   Please help.

7. errors loading plugins on 2020 illustrator

   Since i updated my Illustrator to the latest 2020 version, i get a list of about 15 or more plugins not loaded successfully...

   i can open my project but then my work space is gone and all my drawing tools to the left are gone and i cannot do stroke, fill or shapes....my older version was working perfect... now my computer crashes every 15 min and i get errors of plugins not loaded when i start again....so frustrating i am about to cancel my membership.

   i tried installing the older version i had and i still get the errors.
   i haven't been able to finish my projects in the last 4 days!!!

   Please help!

9. In the latest version cursor keys are now moving the selected objects/nodes 2 pixels instead of 1

   Up until 24.2.1 if I selected an object or node and hit the cursor keys they would move 1 pixel in the direction of the key. Now all of a sudden they move 2. makes trying to align/tweak the position of objects/nodes really difficult and painful

   This often happens when we open Preferences and accidentally press Up or Down arrow key. The very first field focused in the dialog is Keyboard Increment value, and pressing an arrow makes it either zero (which turns into the smallest allowed value of 0.0001) or 2 (if you had 1).

   Open Preferences and change the value back.

10. Custom Brush doesn’t get affected by color

    I am not able to change the color for my custom brushes. Whenever I select a new color for the brush, the brush still paints black. I have opened and closed the program several times but nothing has worked. I have deleted and made new brushes, but I am still having the same problem.

    This happens if the colorization method for a brush is chosen to be just None.

    Changing it to be Tints or any other form the dropdown in the brush’s options solves the problem.

11. When opening, keeps opening tabs and keeps looping

    This keeps happening, even after re-installing. I cannot use illustrator at all.

12. Undo not working when Align Panel is active

    After clicking one of the Align/Distribute tools, Cmd-Z to undo does not have any effect. After clicking in the artboard, undo works again.

13. アートボード名が保存されない

    1.Illustrator 2020(Illustrator 2019)

    複数のアートボードを作成し、アートボードパネルにてリネームし保存をして閉じる。
    そのデータを開いて再度アートボードパネルにてリネームし
    書き出しjpgやpngをすると(アートボードごとに)、パネルの1番目(アートボードの1)のみリネームが反映されず元のネームで書き出されてしまいます。

14. Asset Library Export stopped working with batch exporting

    From today for some reason batch exporting icons does not work in the Asset Export. I have a set of 150 icons that I use, and only change the color combinations as required. It always worked flawlessly. From today, When I click export, it seems to work, but no icons get exported when all are chosen. If I manually check a few at a time it works, but if I choose All Assets, it wont work anymore. Tried rebooting and clearing the cache.

15. Point Type moving when opening CC2019 AI file in AI2020

    Only seems to occur when the text is aligned to the centre, set as point type and has tracking applied to it.

    We have artwork files created in CC2019. When opening one of these files in AI 2020, version 24.2.1 on either Mojave or Catalina, text that is set up with tracking, is point type (instead of area type) and centre aligned shows a significant movement to the right.
    As you can see from the attached .gif of the two files, there is one instance where there is no tracking applied on text, which is on the word "Helvetica" and this doesn't move at all between versions. This text is also left aligned.

    We work in an accuracy critical business where later versions of artwork are now being opened in AI2020 after we've upgraded from CC2019. To have text moving around from one version to another is potentially very dangerous for us if these movements aren't picked up by operators.

    2019 & 2020 AI pdf files attached. The 2020 file is just the 2019 file opened and saved in AI2020 which shows the font movement.

16. Freezing when selecting multiple artboards

    2. Select two artboards

    This operation freezes the operation of Illustrator.

    This problem does not occur in Ver.23.1 and 22.1.

17. Smart Guides buggy at artboard corners

    When resizing snapping shapes or objects, Illustrator smart guides alert user that object is being snapped to corner or intersect, however it isn't actually, and it's not until you zoom right in that you realise it hasn't.

    Snap to Pixel is turned off. Smart Guides are turned on.
    There is no 'anchor' at that location other than the Artboard Edge.

18. Problem with Direct selections (A) - Clicking on the patch does not mark the object

    Hi,
    something has changed in Illustrator updates.

    I understand that an object nested / masked in an object should not be editable with the Selections Tool (V) from the main object level. Yes, and that's good.

    But definitely NOT when use tool (A). This is a different work scope situation in Illustrator when working with the Direct Selections Tool (A).
    Then each track visible in the Outline view should be selectable.

    This has made the job a lot more complicated now when I want to select objects inside a crop and edit their properties or shape.

19. Full colour image shut down to a simple line drawing

    Illustrator shutdown unexpectedly. When it recovered, my drawing was fine for a moment, then reduced all the work I had done into a simple line drawing. What is going on? I don't see the image I had spent many hours developing.
