Pixelated lines
Wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before? I just installed AI and using the Adobe presets (I haven't changed anything). The lines are viewing very pixelated...how...why?! Is there a setting I need to change?

Cmd + Tab doesn't bring the main window to front
When I use Command+Tab to navigate between programs, I have to hide all open programs to see Illustrator's interface. The open palettes will display, but not the the document window, toolbar, application bar. When I try to hide Illustrator, only the palettes respond. Illustrator is generally sluggish with High Sierra.

Memory usage continuously increases over time in Illustrator 2026 and is not released properly (macOS M4 Max)

Workflow
I use Illustrator as a visual reference board containing an extremely large archive of linked images (not embedded). I arrange thousands of reference images on large canvases to compare composition, color, style, motion, and visual ideas. This workflow is essential for my art direction and animation production because spatial comparison is much more efficient than browsing images individually.

Illustrator on macOS 26.5 hanging on start
In the past few weeks I'm seeing Adobe Illustrator both 2025 and 2026 are not responding on mac at start up. It's variable, yesterday it was fine, today it's not. Extremely unproductive and disruptive.
Sometimes the first document selection screen appears but then goes to Not Responding.

Windows Explorer freezes when Saving As PDF
- Fresh install of Windows 10 Pro. Fully up-to date (as of Feb. 27, 2026). DXdiag attached.
- Illustrator 30.2.1 (64-bit) ** Only Illustrator and Photoshop installed (via Creative Cloud application)
- Open AI file
- Save as.. PDF
- Choose a PDF option, click Save
- Click Windows Start Menu icon (or any other icon on the task bar) - Windows task bar (explorer.exe) will be unresponsive
- To remedy, Ctrl-Alt-Del and open Task Manager -> Right-click Windows Explorer -> Restart

Illustrator Flickering/Losing Focus when Clicking Quickly (Both CPU/GPU Modes)
Illustrator flickers when clicking quickly (or just in general) both when using GPU rendering and CPU only rendering (see attached files). It seems to lose focus on Illustrator and I can see whatever background applications I am using (e.g. Google Chrome). The problem happens in both fullscreen and windowed mode.

Dimensions of newly created objects have numerous decimal places and don’t get adjusted afterwards
After leaving the computer on for a week with software running in the background, when trying to draw a new rectangle, the dimensions will show numerous decimal places. Moreover, when attempting to adjust the dimensions afterward, the values will jump erratically.
The background backup process of the software occupies main operational resources, resulting in lag.

Shift Constraint is not working properly when editing proportionally or when duplicating using Option drag Shift command. I'm surprised that as many updates as we are required to do, that the glitches and bugs are so prevalent than they used to be before constant updating. I'm beginning to think that updating isn't really about making the product better, but to keep folks paying their subscriptions.

Drag and Drop lag
Whenever dragging vector objects in a file, Illustrator lags, the waiting circle appears, and takes several seconds to place the object where I dropped it. Working becomes almost impossible when a simple task such as this takes this long. Illustrator 29.6.1, macOS Sequoia 15.6.

Illustrator "froze" when adjust object in transform panel
- Mac Mini 2024 (Sequoia 15.5)
- Adobe Illustrator 2025 (29.6.1)
- Tried moving the selected object using "Transform" panel - X,Y value
- Adjusted the "Y value" by 1mm - the app dialog "Progress - Transforming Objects..." pop up and nothing happen, app just froze.

There is a delay and lag when copying in Adobe Illustrator 2025 29.5.141
When using Adobe Illustrator 2025, there is a delay and lag when copying. When performing a Ctrl+C copy of graphics or text, or when manually dragging, there is a delay and lag in the response, and the copy does not appear immediately. If a zoom operation is performed during a Ctrl+C copy, the delay and lag become even more pronounced.

Glitchy Application
My computer runs very smoothly with every other application, including other Adobe applications. However, as soon as I open Illustrator, my entire system lags and stutters constantly, making it impossible to get work done with the application. This needs to be fixed and run smoothly.

29.5.2 MacOS 15.5 M3 Performance degrades over time, after extended use.
Working with the any file, the performance degrades over time. 30min-1 hour it becomes noticeable. CPU slowly move up as time progresses from 10% to 100%. File becomes so slow that it takes 2-3 second for typed text to appear. A restart of AI fixes it.
Files are not point-heavy nor do they have complicated effects.1 vote -
Animated zoom not working on latest version 29.4 for MacBook Air M4 24GB unified memory
I am not able to animated zoom in or out after 50%. It directly jumps to 100% and gets glitchy even after that point. The same issue is happening when I try to view it in presentation mode - it just displays my art board at 50% or less or 100%. Even when I manually input the zoom percentage in the bottom left corner, it automatically jumps to 50%.
I checked GPU performance and animated zoom and made sure it's checked on.

There’s an issue with the undo function (Cmd + Z). Instead of undoing the last action, it jumps back to a much earlier point
There’s an issue with the undo function (Cmd + Z). Instead of undoing the last action, it jumps back to a much earlier point, and then it can’t be redone — it’s as if the last few steps never happened. Sometimes this also happens when saving the project, which is very problematic. It seems to occur randomly, and the only way to fix it is to close and reopen the program — but that doesn’t recover the lost actions either. I have the latest version of the app and a Macbook Pro M2 with 16gb of RAM.

Illustrator not working
When I open Illustrator the processor dramatically slows down, to the point I can't have anything else open. Photoshop, on the other hand, works fine. When I try to move my mouse in Illustrator it takes ages, the screen starts flickering when I click on something for a few minutes before I click something else and it happens again. "Other option" for text in Properties panel slow down PC

When I try to open "other option" for text in the property panel the software slow down very much, I mean it freeze for at least 10 seconds and it happens every time. If I use the usual full Text panel no problems, but normally using the Properties is easier to have all in the same place, so it's a bit frustrating.

The app is hard to open, and took 20 minutes
The app is very hard to open. It took me 20 minutes to open. But when opened, I cant even make a new file because its not responding. When I open a saved ai files, its not opening just keep on reading the file. Also I already updated the app, restarted my pc several times but still not working. its really frustrating .......
