Get the color wheel cloud to work properly
I teach 5th grade and we made color using the Adobe Color wheel. Then when we went into our libraries in Illustrator those palettes showed up for only about 1/2 the kids. No idea why. When I did it I also did not get the colors I saved to show up in my Illustrator color library. Even weirder when I open Illustrator on a Windows device (instead of Mac) the color DO show up.

"export for screens" beachball bug
I am on a M2 MBA running the latest macOS. I have a bluetooth Logitech MX master 3S. I have illustrator 28.1
When using 'Export for Screen', if I have a document with 20+ artboards, there is a scrollbar on the Artboards tab.
If I use the mouse LEFT BUTTON to drag the scrollbar or use the mouse LEFT BUTTON to click on the arrows on the scrollbar, Illustrator will beachball and I have to use Force Quit to close it.
If I use the mouse WHEEL to scroll the panel, I am able to make my selections - the panel scrolls, I am able to tick items by using the LEFT BUTTON..
I've noticed this behaviour for Illustrator 2022, 2023, 2024.

All my links rotate 90° when opening the file
when i opened my file, all the links in 0° rotation, rotated to 90°... now i have to rotate all individually. x_x
this happened to me other 3 times in different files in the past.

Illustrator AI - high volume
I'd like to have a better understanding of this problem - I originally posted in the community discussion but was told I would need to repost here so that's what I'm doing.
I've been getting this error with one of my projects since this morning and since I can still use it by closing that project and opening another - I don't think the problem is really "High volume"
- I do have a prompt that's about 3 paragraphs which could be the problem but if that's the case, Adobe really should be limiting the characters, not just saying that there is high volume or at least saying "Your prompt is too long".
If this was a beta feature it wouldn't be a problem but since my monthly fees just got upped for this feature that isn't working, Id like to better understand what the problem is or for it to be fixed since it seems like it can't even handle prompts that free AI generators can.
Some other things that would help with high volume are:
Negative prompts
Let us know what the "style picker" is grabbing for a prompt so that can be edited
Letting us know what prompts are triggering the usage guidelines - for example, "Thunderbolt" triggers the usage guidelines for some reason, and "Thunder bolt" does not - this last one just generally saves people time in having to "test prompt" to figure out where the problem is which might also be causing increased demand on your AI.

Brush palette inconsistent with Direct Selection Tool
I select a path drawn with the brush tool using Direct Select then click another brush. Sometimes the brush is applied to the path, sometimes it isn't, although the brush is shown to have changed as expected in the brush palette.
If the brush is not applied as described, when I deselect the path and select it again it reverts to showing the original brush.
I'm sure this has happened since the latest update (28.1, 64 bit, Win 10). I work with brush tool a lot and this is introducing a lot of irritation and wasted time to my projects.

Replace File doesn't work (creates new file)
I opened an EPS file, made changes, and then saved. When I saved I was alerted that the file already existed and asked if I wanted to replace the file. I selected Replace. However, Illustrator ignores my selection and creates a new file with '-01' amended onto the end of the file name.

Illustrator reopens after quitting
I'm on macOS 14.2.1 and Illustrator 28.1.
When I quit illustrator it automatically reopens immediately. Workaround: close the app via the dock (secondary click > quit).
I uninstalled Illustrator and reinstalled it, but the problem persists.

Bad rendering of glow effect
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 10.0.19045 Build 19045
Adobe Illustrator: 28.1 (64-bit)Steps to reproduce the bug:
- Create a blank Illustrator document.
- Create a new shape, such as a white circle with no stroke. The white circle on the white background is invisible.
- Add an outer glow effect to the circle, e.g.: Color: black (#000000), Normal mode, 20% Opacity, 3px Blur.
=> The white circle on white background will be almost invisible, despite the black glow, which is very, very faint.- Export the artwork to PDF.
- Open the PDF file in Acrobat : the white circle is perfectly visible, the black glow can be clearly seen.
Expected result:
The glow should look the same in Illustrator and Acrobat.Actual result:
The glow looks too light in Illustrator, and is rendered properly in Acrobat.If you set the glow's opacity to ~50% in AI, you will get in Illustrator the same rendering as 20% in Acrobat (but then of course, if you export the AI file to PDF, the 50% setting will appear much darker in Acrobat).
This bug is obviously linked to a recent AI update. The rendering used to be consistent between AI & Acrobat.

Bug with the ' touch on AZERTY keyboard on AI 2024
Hi ! I recently came upon a but while typing text with a French AZERTY keyboard. Indeed touching the ' (apostrophe) symbol instead writes a < or > when entered. I thought at first it was a font problem, but after trying a few different ones wondered if if wasn't a keyboard language problem, but then i tried on AI 2023 and had no problem typing my text correctly.

Text to vector unable to generate text graphics
Tried generating a graphic that included text with the new beta "text to vector" feature, however, it is unable to correctly spell the words.

Toolbar menus display only two rows at a time
I'm using Illustrator 28.0 on Windows 11 Professional, Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. Since the latest update, the toolbar menus show only two rows with the option to scroll up/down to see the other items (two at a time), which is very inconvenient. I've closed and restarted Illustrator, but no change to the interface.

Text is uneditable.
I have large text files in my illustrator artboards and when I try to edit the copy, it only allows me to select a singular letter rather than being able to simply click the text and edit it.

Dimension tool does not allow to change scale
Dimension tool not accepting change of scale, for instance 20:1 chosen, when wanting to alter to 10:1 having to close and reboot illustrator

Outline Mode Breaks display when toggling in and out of it.
I found that when I go into outline mode and then toggle the layers off of it it breaks my display a little bit. It fixes itself if I just undo the toggling and then Cmd Y to turn it off that way but it'd be nice not having to do that.
