  1. canvas background disappearing

    view goes from white to checkerboard out of nowhere recently... maybe in the last week or so? seems like a bug that needs to be addressed

    Like clockwork. Adobe Upgrades keep disabling USER Align To Preferences.

    Can anybody tell me why year after year, upgrade after upgrade, this KEEPS HAPPENING?

  3. Paintbrush tool stops working while drawing - 100% GPU usage

    Using the paintbrush tool, when drawing a continous shape/line, it stops drawing after a little while, even if I keep the pen pressed, or mouse button (same result).

    If I use the GPU rendering/viewing mode, the GPU usage keep climbing if I keep drawing, until it reaches 100% GPU usage and stops working. And that is on a RTX 3090. On CPU view mode, it stops way sooner/faster, after 3 seconds almost. As soon as I let go and stop drawing, it completes the shape, but only up until the point that it stopped drawing.

  4. Get familiar pop over on Mac, comes up blank with no buttons to close.

    Have seen this on the most recent two updates for Illustrator - currently on 25.3.1.

    The help pop up loses its buttons and cannot be dismissed. Have to quit.

  5. Illustrator 25.3.1 Will Not Open

    At least two of the computers in our office are having issues with the latest Illustrator update 25.3.1. The program does not open when selecting a file and performing Open With>Adobe Illustrator 2021. The program does not open from the start menu. The program does not open directly from the Illustrator.exe file. If you try to uninstall Illustrator with Creative Cloud, it tells you that you can't because the program is open. If you go to the Task Manager with less detail, Illustrator does not show open, however, if you select more detail, you may see 14 or more processes…

  6. Outline view (ctrl-y) crashes Illustrator 25.3.1 immediately.

    I had this problem in verion 25.0, and then it went away with a couple of updates, and now it's back in 25.3.1

    Right now, the way it works is that I'll make a thing - anything (eg. just a rectangle), hit CTRL-Y (outline view) and... Illustrator crashes.

    Anyone else got this?

  7. Illustrator Crash/Not Running

    Operating System: Windows 10
    Version: Adobe Illustrator 25.3.1

    After the last update, some of my documents on Creative Cloud do not open, unless I create duplicate and run the duplicate.

    The updated Illustrator crashes more often, specially if I have a lot of layers.

  8. Illustrator auto added a level 1 layer to wrap all layers after saving as SVG.

    1. Windows 10.
    2. Adobe Illustrator 25.2.1.
    3. Save any .ai file that has multiple layers as SVG then open the saved SVG file with Illustrator .
    4. Expected: Keep the same layers as the ai file. Actual result:All layers were wrapped by a new layer automatically.

  9. I can't see my workspace

    I open AI and all my tools bar, control bar and work space are disappear.
    About tools bar and control bar I can reopen it but work space didn't work and I don't see it again.

  10. Beta 25.4 – Crashing when in isolation mode (Big Sur 11.4)

    I'm running both the Apple Silicon Beta version (25.4) of Illustrator and 25.3.1 via the Rosetta emulator, and having the same issue across both. Huge amounts of lag occur when double clicking an object to enter isolation mode. At first I thought it was because the file I was working on had a bunch of linked images, but now even new files with a single vector object drawn will have the same lag issue.   11. Illustrator file management system has has bug.

    I categorized my all art work while drag and drop some folder get automatic duplicate my Internet connection is at good speed . This error i face most of the time .
    File managing is good but with this bug am frustrated. And the cost that is charging is too much . Just wasting of money , i already had a lots of stuff to manage and this buggy management system of file.

    This is my last month on illustrator will unsubscribe the subscription,nor recommend any one.

    can't resolve folder alias in mac os

    macOS 10.13.6
    Illustrator CC ver 24.0.1

    try:

  13. Second line of type (point and area) is picking up the style of the first line when pasting plain text

    New to 25.3.1 update, MacOS 11.4. When there are two lines in a point or area type object separated by a return, selecting the entire second line (formatted differently from the first line) and pasting in plain text (copied from a Finder filename) is now picking up the formatting from the first line instead of retaining the formatting from the existing line, as if there were an invisible return character from the first line, or as if it were a continuation of the first line. This is contrary to AI behavior since forever.

  14. Color changes when saving as .eps

    Saving out a pattern with a purple background as .eps turns out as black when previewing the file on the computer or in pdf-reader and when opened on other computers. Opening the file back into illustrator still shows everything as purple.

    MacOS BigSur 11.4
    illustrator 25.2.3

    Right side show as the colors are perceived in illustrator, left side is what other software see when opening the file.

    2〜3回目の変更でほぼ必ず。
    v 25.3.1においての現象。
    v 25.2.3以前では大丈夫。よく使う機能なのでアップデートできない。

  16. Fill appeared outside of outline on single copied object once when duplicating all objects multiple times

    Work was done in Illustrator 25.2.3 under Mojave 10.14.6. A screenshot showing the fill separated from the outline as well as a simplified/de-branded version of the 5-up document with only the problem art and a section of non-problem art (for relative position reference) left in place are attached.

    In Illustrator, the customer's AI file was opened and stepped 4 times to produce a 5-up document (as has been done countless times before on similar files).   17. Transparency not working once saved to pdf or opened in photoshop

    I have open a file previously worked on, and when I save to pdf the effects created with transparency are not working at all, as if they are not there.

  18. open ai files can crash Mac system

    When opening an AI file which linking more (about 10) high resolution image files, the whole of my late 2017 version iMac is crashed with dark screen. It need to restart the system and open AI again. It was successful to reopen the initial AI file, but it's crashed again to open the next AI file with high resolution image files linking.

  19. 日本語入力時に英数キーで確定されます

    macOS Hi Sierra/Catalina/Big Sur
    Adobe Illustrator CC2017〜2021（それ以前の可能性も有）

    Macには独自の日本語テキスト入力のシステムがあります。
    入力した文字を確定する前に「英数キー」を2度連打すると
    半角アルファベットに変換されます。
    「かなキー」を2度連打すると再変換することができます。

    CS5までのIllustratorとすべてのPhotoshopではこのシステムが有効です。
    しかし、IllustratorCCでは「英数キー」「かなキー」での
    変換ができません。
    日本語を入力中に「英数キー」を押すと変換されず確定されます。

    私はMacOS X10.3から長くこのシステムに慣れているので
    現在のIllustratorの仕様は誤入力につながり不便です。

  20. Thumbnail in Library is cropped

    Hi, I made a wing which I have used 3D rotate function and another effect. so when Added the transformed object to library. it coropped arround the original design and cut off the bottom part of the transformed object. I hope the picture explains it enough.
