Blend snaps back when you move an object
When you move one of the objects after having created a blend, the new position doesn't stay. Instead the blend snaps back and the outline of the object stays in the new position. Described in this thread with videos:

On Opening, Illustrator can't read linked files and adds multiple copies of linked images
On some files, on open, I receive an error regarding linked images and when trying to resolve, Illustrator adds multiple copies of the same linked image without actually fixing the original images. It'll add linked images into locked layers where there were no images.
This started in version 26.4.1 and have tested with uninstalling newer versions, opening the same files on older versions, and installing newer versions until the issue appears.
Screenshots attached where it shows it adding in linked images, even on layers that were locked and had no images on save.

Illustrator keeps stealing focus when opening documents in background...
When selecting a lot of files in windows and then opening them in AI, for every document that opens, AI takes the focus away from whatever I am doing in the background. This is very annoying. Please fix.

URGENT: Enter key does not work in any Type Tools Illustrator Beta 26.6.555
Adobe Tech Support was unable to resolve.
This was not a problem in the prior release of 26.6 before .555
When using the type tool in any form, horizontal, vertical, etc., the enter key no longer inserts either a [CR] or [CR LF].
This is inconvenient for working with headlines or titling (attached graphic), but an absolute dealbreaker for working with long text.

Toggling Layer Visibility Causes Hang
Toggling layer visibility seems to be increasingly difficult for my latest release of the standard Illustrator build. I just tried a complete uninstall/reinstall, and the problem persists. Once I toggle layers on/off without any other active layer visible I get the Mac beach ball/spinning wheel. If I add a blank placeholder layer I have no issues toggling as shown below. This is the current release of Illustrator. I can share one of these files to see if it is setting related or cannot be reproduced, but I had this same issue on a much higher spec’d out PC than my current 2015 5K iMac shown in the video. The video excludes the beachball as Quicktime does not record the icon/spinning wheel. You will notice the layer visibility does not respond unless another layer is first enabled.

SVG Export - Style Tag (Angled Apostrophe) Issue
Hi,
I have recently stumbled upon a random issue with exporting SVGs from Illustrator (Desktop). I am recycling some previously used assets that I know work fine and are fully compatible with Articulate Rise (the eLearning tool I import the SVGs to).
For some reason, within the last week or so, something has changed. Now when I try to import my SVGs to Articulate, I get an error saying the file type is invalid. Having investigated this with the Articulate support team, we discovered that during the export process, Illustrator is adding a random invalid character (this one (`)).
See attached images for reference.
I can edit the styling using SVG viewer, but it's slowing down our output immensely and I'm not sure what has changed? I know for a fact these images work fine in the current courses they sit in.
Note: If I ungroup the assets on the banner image, and export them as SVGs, they all import fine and don't have the angled apostrophe. If I group them together, however, the apostrophe appears! The obvious solution would be to ungroup and collect as a single asset, which I've tested and unfortunately, this still presents the same issue. I've also tested grouping newly created assets together there are no issues.
Hopefully, someone out there can help out with this!
Thanks in advance,

Add Anchor Points adds sharp points on smooth curves (and converts smooths to sharps)
If I have an circle with 4 smooth points and use Add Anchor Points command to add points to it, all new four point become sharp instead of smooth.
Also, there are reports that Ai also convert original smooth points to sharp also, and this behaviour differs from platform to platform.

IUStringUnitsToAIReal doesn't recognize comma as decimal separator
std::string input_ = "1,5"; // From Adobe header: The string to convert, which uses the localized international utilities (IU) decimal separator.
AIReal n;
sAIUser->IUStringUnitsToAIReal(ai::UnicodeString(input_), &n);This function interprets the text "1,5" as "15" even when the locale is set to a country where the system uses a comma decimal separator. Related functions IUStringToAIReal recognizes the comma, though.

Align to Artboard
Please fix "Align To..." bug or new feature. I never use "Align to Selection" and many times it automatically switches to "Align to Selection" on its own. I always use "Align to Artboard" and I like that it automatically changes to "Align to Key Object" when I select a key object and goes back to my preferred Align to preference "Align to Artboard" when I do not select a key object. Because it is not stay on my preferred "Align to Artboard" and, on its own changes to "Align to Selection" it causes a problem, for example since my preferred alignment is "Align to Artboard" and I'm trying to align multiple objects to the center or elsewhere to the artboard and they are already close to the center but not exact they will not align to the center of the artboard correctly when it on its own it changes to aligning to selection. The fact that it is not aligning to my preferred align to artboard may not be noticeable because the objects may already be close to the center but not exact and therefor causes a major problem with production material and time that is waisted because the objects did not align to my preferred "Align to Artboard". For years the align to... worked the same way and now it does not. The simple solution is for the alignment to stay on the users preferred Align To setting unless a key object is selected then revert back to the users Align To preferred setting not automatically change the users preferred Align To setting.
