Highlight Pantone swatch in Pantone palette
It used to be when you selected a pantone swatch in your palette, it would highlight the same pantone swatch in the pantone pallete. Somehow in the last couple years, this feature has been lost. The reason it is helpful is I can quickly find my pantone and pick a color deeper or lighter than it by looking to the left or right of that swatch. Right now, to find a pantone color, I need to type in the color and of course the only result is going to be that color. I can't see what is to…

Give the ability to export extra Spot colors in .PSD files (also implement the Mixed Inks feature)
I think it's for Adobe to implement the ability to export files in .PSD and have those extra colors in separate channels (maybe in CMYK mode plus the extra spot colors translated to extra color channels).
If it works well with PDF files why not with Photoshop files?
It's a real pain to get a 5 colors file (CMYK + Pantone color) exported to Photoshop. PSD files have all the colors flattened for the exported mode option (RGB, CMYK).
Also, it's time to think very serious about implement the Mixed Inks from Indesign…

select and change stoke Color in text
I have text templates that require changing the fill and stroke colors. I have to select the text, go to Appearance, choose Type, and change the color. The issue is that there are several texts with different combinations throughout the day.
It would be great if I could set the three text colors as shown in the image, select one, then use an action that allows me to choose the text color, either fill or stroke, and change it to another from my swatch.

X & Y Sliders for Quicker Movement and Precision
Please make X and Y position for an object have a slider like After effects. Instead of clicking the arrow keys or putting in a value, I should be able to select and object, then hover over they X or Y value and use the slider to only affect the object in one direction. This would greatly speed up layout design and allow for more precision. After effects does this perfectly already, and I think it would be a great addition to Illustrator. I would also say this feature could be added to W and H.

Multiple Color Assignment - NIGHTMARE
At some point Illustrator added some kind of multiple color assignment where a shape could be assigned a color and then also the group it's in could be assigned a different color or something like this. I just want to say that this "feature" has cost me so much wasted time trying to change the color of an object. It makes the eyedropper not work correctly and making a simple color change become a nightmare because it has it has multiple assignments and it just won't change colors and you have hit "no fill" a bunch of times to…

Allow to assign several colors as transparent for Image Trace
Currently Image Trace allows to pick one color to ignore and replace it with full transparency. Perhaps some users might need to pick more than one color.
UI in other places offers to setup several color chips, seems like a consistent move to allow the same here.2 votes -
Recolor Artwork: Make the color wheel bigger !
It would be good if the size of Colorwheel in Recolor Artwork could be resized, made bigger.
Now if the colors are close to each other, it is impossible to select them in basic mode.
Also, adjusting colors isn't very accurate as the wheel is so small. Sure you can open the color setting by double clicking, but it would be so much easier to just have bigger color wheel.

Please remove the pop-up tip from the Color Themes panel
It's difficult to try out colors in this panel, because a pop-up tip appears right underneath your pointer every time. I'd love to see the "Click to set active color" pop-up removed, as it makes the colors difficult to select and it really isn't even that informative.

Colors: bring existing color to front
I ran into this so many times: I want to change an element with a colored fill, go to the color palette hit the new color and boom: I have an outline because I forgot to switch to fill. So I need to delete that outline, swap from outline to fill color and do what I initially wanted: Change the fill color. WHY does Illustrator not automatically bring the color to front that already exists on an element? If an element only has a fill, bring the fill to front upon selction. If an element only has an…

Type tool does not keep selected color
If I have one fill color selected on the type tool, it changes to black the moment I click on the artboard to begin typing. It needs to stay the selected color for all tools. I shouldn't have to go back and change the color.

Put gradients in swatch groups, option to make them global, work between Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop
It's a three-in-one suggestion around the entire universe of gradient issues in Adobe software.
A. Why can't we put gradients in swatch group folders? This seems like a very basic feature for swatch organization.
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31389250B. Why can't the gradient be global so editing a swatch position or color in the gradient panel moves/changes it across all uses of the gradient relative to the current scale of that gradient?
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33164479 and
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/37224865)C. Why can't we save gradient swatches in a way that is shareable between other Adobe software? Available gradient styles are also inconsistent in the Adobe-verse.

Improve Assigning Color Profile
I’ve been running into some challenges with color profiles in Adobe Illustrator that I think could use improvement. Every time I open a document, I’m asked to either assign or discard a color profile. The issue is, even when I choose and save the file, Illustrator asks me again when I reopen it. Is there a reason it’s not saving my choice?
Another thing that could help a lot is when working with multiple images, like 20 or more. Instead of getting prompted one by one for each image, it would be much faster if I could see a list…

Allow custom color profiles to be saved to the CC libraries
Creating CutContour swatch and Color Process colors (because Pantone+ colors are not available) lose their values once saved to CC libraries.

Find / Replace font... to include adjusting font and text size
I would like to see a capability added to the find/replace font... feature to include finding and replacing text sizes throughout a document. I make a lot of repetitive text throughout many artboards and sometimes I have to adjust the text size of a particular font. In addition I sometimes have mixed fonts in a textbox and have to adjust the size of one or a few of them separately without changing the size of the other fonts. That would be a super time-saving feature too.

Keyboard command for "Find and Replace" Text or ability to add a Keyboard Shortcut.
In Adobe Illustrator: Why is there not a keyboard command to bring up the "Find and Replace" dialog box or the ability to add your own Keyboard Shortcut to do this?

Add color to toolbar icons.
The new 'Objects on a Path' tool has brought color to the toolbar. It now stands out a lot.
I have a bunch of plugins that add tools to the toolbar, and have a bunch of cryptic monochromatic icons. Perhaps it is time for both Adobe and plugin developers to bring some color to the toolbar so we have one more thing to help us remember which extremely specialized tool we use once in a blue moon is which?
(This also may require a switch in the prefs to revert to largely monochromatic icons for people who are colorblind…

Change stroke color of custom brush
I've downloaded a few custom brushes & their colors don't change. They're black, that's it, no matter what stroke color I choose in the palette. I don't like having to expand their appearance just to change their color. In a few projects that I'm working on, I want to be able to try a few different brushes in the color that I like (and be able to change that color, too) + at any point that I wish to change that brush again in the future & maintain that color. You get it. Hoping this is…
1 voteA brush can be customized to maintain the chosen color in several ways, including None (to keep the original color set in the brush), Tints, Tints And Shades, and He Shift.
Read more about these here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/brushes.html
in 'Colorization options for scatter, art, and pattern brushes' section.

incorrect color assignments
Actions to change path color to black instead turn the path white on the first try. Repeating the exact same action flow a second time in a row turns the path black.
