  1. Adding Preset Brushes to Brushes CAN cause drop down menu to break

    I wanted to have all the brushes that come packed with Illustrator available to me at all times. I loaded the ones I wanted, selected and added the brushes. Once I did this the drop down menu crashes and will not come back, the top is lost and does not scroll up. This has effected all my documents until I closed down Illustrator. When I did this again it was fine.... any ideas?

    Hi Benjamin,

    Once you load all the brushes that you need in brushes panel, Save it as library from the flyout and you can open this library everytime you want to use it.
    You can mark the library persistent, so that it opens on restarting the application.

  2. Using Tab to advance to next dialog box field only works occasionally

    Editing text in latest Illustrator (immediately after update)... can't tab between font-size and leading fields - I can get it to work momentarily by closing the box and trying again, but the big returns the next time I try to edit text.

  3. 4k scaling glitch

    When opening Ai on my pc with 4k resolution, a lot of the content on the menu page i off, and I can't resize them to see the rest.
    This is also current in the "new document" setup.
    Very irritating.

  4. Bug: Object Coordinates Not Aligning with Page

    When trying to align two groups of objects, the coordinates in relation to the actual position on the page do not match the coordinates in the Y axis value box. (see attached images)

    The top edge of the object is -108", the middle is 5.5" (actual is ~3.5") and the bottom edge is 119" on an 8.5x11" layout.

    Details:
    * It happens when the group of objects on the layer is selected
    * Objects did not indicate any parts outside of it's rectangle selection area that would throw off the measurements (triple checked)

  5. When maximizing Illustrator it extends beyond the screen borders.

    I have a vertical dual monitor setup. At one time it was a horizontal setup, but that was in prior versions before version 22.0.1 64 Bit. Anytime I try to maximize on my 3840x2160 laptop monitor it will expand beyond the screen border. I have attached a screenshot. Only started happening since the last update. I have tried changing settings for my screens and within illustrator but it still doesn't seem to fix the issue. Can anyone help?

  6. Adobe Color Themes bug

    The "Open Color Themes Panel" button in Swatches opens a broken panel that cannot be resized to see it's web view. It can only be resized vertically. Seems like it went unchecked and shipped.

  8. freeze

    My Version is Ai CC 2018
    I opened Ai and try to load a new brush that I downloaded, the first time I did it by selecting the Other Library and choose the Brush file was fine, but then on it just freeze every time I do it, before I could even select the section that has the file, the application freezes.

  9. Home Screen and New Document dialog are rendered glitchy, with partial duplicates of their content layered

    Upon opening the 2018 CC apps the welcome/launch and the New File screens have 2 layers attached and thus makes it hard to select the file or action that I want.

  10. When clicked on file>export, the menus closes.

    Operating System: MAC High Sierra

    When clicking on export under FIle menu the menu closes, This is not expected as this might happen by mistake before the sub menu has opened.

    This is also not consistent with photoshop file>export.
    In photoshop when clicked on export menu under file, the menu will not get closed.

  12. Selecting multiple objects with different opacities incorrectly reports their opacities as 0%

    AI CC 2018 - MacOS Sierra
    When selecting multiple objects with two different opacities (say one square at 80% and another at 40%) it reports their value as 0%.

  13. Selecting list view does not change from grid view in "Start" screen.

    Selecting "list" view in the "start" window does not change the view. Have restarted numerous times. Not a big deal, but annoying when I need to see full file names (which are truncated in grid view).

  15. Menu Issues

    MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1
    Illustrator 22.0.1

    When the Application Frame is disabled, the menu items are displayed incorrectly. The "View" menu is attached.

    I have reset the preferences and the menus seemed to work fine, but when I disabled the application frame, they went crazy again.

  16. I've just upgraded to high sierra and when I use cover flow to search my illustrator files the .ai images all appear upside down? Weird!

  17. UI bug

    illustrator CC 2018 (ver. 22.0.1(64bit) / windows 10 Falls creator

    UI gets 'mangled', rendering it unusable, displays 'eating' each other or disappearing or not appearing, usually starts in 'control' area. Happens after various length of time, no special event triggering it.

  18. Name layer pop up panel appears twice

    On macOS 10.12.6, working with a Wacom. If you double-click on a layer to rename it and the panel pops up to rename, clicking OK doesn't get rid of the panel. It re-appears a second time.

  19. I can't paste into a new layer

    I've updated to Illustrator version 22.0.0. I am working on a file where I need to replace a logo bug, so created a new layer. I've locked the original layer and then tried to paste the new bug onto the new layer (yes, it is selected), but I get the notice "You are attempting to paste or drag into one or more layers that are locked or hidden. Do you want to unlock and show all approriate layers?" So now I have to paste onto the original layer first, then move up to new layer. Is this a bug?

    As stated in the comment, if 'Paste Remembers Layers' option is turned off in Layers panel’s menu, this is an expected behavior — Illustrator tries to paste the art into a layer with the same name it was copied from, ignoring the selection in Layers.

    If you disable it, Ai will respect the layer selected.

    Hi Steve,

    Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. If you want to turn it off, you need to switch to some other tool. Or you can remove it from panel by the flyout menu.
